About: Hi there! My name is Kathleen, and I am a lifelong animal lover! 🐾 I’ve owned and cared for dogs my whole life, including 3 lovable Beagles, a spirited Siberian Husky, a sweet Maltese, and an adorable Dachshund mix. I've also rescued a few cats along the way. I’ve been dog sitting for years, helping out friends and family with their beloved pets, and I’ll treat your furry friends with the same love and care as if they were my own. In addition to pet sitting, I volunteer at Big Dog Rescue and with the Audubon Turtle Rescue 🐢, so I have experience with animals of all kinds. I live in a cozy condo with a backyard, perfect for a bit of outdoor play and fresh air. Your pet will be in safe hands, and I can’t wait to meet them! I’m available for dog sitting and would love to care for your pet! Whether you need someone for daily visits, overnight stays, or just a weekend away, I’m flexible and happy to accommodate your schedule. Feel free to reach out to discuss your specific needs and we can make sure your furry friend is well taken care of! Your pet's health and happiness are my top priority! I ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all the pets I care for. My home is kept tidy, with regular cleaning routines in place to make sure your furry friend has a hygienic space to relax and play. You can rest assured they’ll be well looked after in a loving, clean environment.
About: I've always adored animals ever since I was little. Growing up I was surrounded by not only cats and dogs but I also had a bird and chinchilla. From a young age, I was taught the correct ways to care for animals; now I have two dogs of my own. I have experience with watching multiple animals at the same time while providing different care for each animal individually based on what they need. I understand firsthand how important it is to feel comfortable and safe when trusting someone with your animals and I promise that I will provide the best care. Pet care fits naturally into my schedule because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. While I am currently a student and work part-time, I carefully manage my schedule to ensure I can provide dependable, attentive care. I am committed to being upfront about my availability and only accepting bookings that allow me to give your pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. If my schedule aligns with your needs and it’s a good fit for both of us, I would love the opportunity to care for your pet! I strive to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of attention and affection. I pay close attention to each pet’s well-being and tailor my care to their individual needs, personality, and energy level to ensure they are happy and comfortable. As a pet parent myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your beloved family member. My goal is to provide reliable, compassionate care and give owners peace of mind while they’re away.
“Maria was very caring and considerate. She texted updates and pictures. She also responded quickly to any questions or concerns I may have had. My home and puppy were perfect on my return. Looking forward to calling her again!”

About: I've loved dogs ever since my mom rescued our first puppy when I was 12 years old. Since then, we have raised, trained, played with, and cuddled up to 4 more dogs. Dogs to me, bring out the loving, positive energy in a home and I'm here for it. Throughout the years, my husband and I have been avid volunteers at local dog shelters and have fostered 3 rescues for a local rescue organization. I have some experience with training puppies and younger dogs and well caring for senior doggos who need that additional love and care. Currently, we do not have a dog in our home but are a very active family. I often care for my elderly neighbor's dogs and we take them on hikes, to the beach, dog parks, and even fun dog friendly restaurants and events. When they go out of town, we gladly puppy-sit and enjoy bathing, feeding, and endless cuddles. I'm excited to meet your amazing four legged family members and create great memories with them while providing a great service for you as well. I have a passion for animals but also know that it is important for your as their family/owner to feel just as comfortable with trusting me to care for your pet. I am currently an Instructional Designer working from home which gives me plenty of free time to care for your pup and provide lots and walks, play, and cuddles. I'm available for early morning and afternoon walkies, full day doggie day care, and house sitting mostly on weekends but can make weekdays work if needed as well. My current job allows for plenty of flexibility and time to provide the best quality service for your and your doggie. I have a large home with plenty of space for indoor play along with a nice lanai to play, relax, and enjoy the breeze. I do not have a fenced in yard but do have plenty or areas for great walks. I like to personalize my services to best fit each dog and family and will strive to make each experience and fun and special one for all. If dog sitting in your home, I ensure that all pets are well taken care of as well maintaining your space clean, sanitized, and inviting for a great welcome back home.
“First time ever leaving my babies with anyone but family. Dave did a job beyond our expectations. He sent photos and video every day while we were on a 7 day cruise. Our house was left like no one was here. I suggest always interview your sitter as we interviewed 3. Dave will be our permanent rover sitter. Rover should have other sitter’s just like him as a company standard. Five plus STARS!!”

About: I’m extremely conscientious and caring. I value people’s routines because I also value my own routines. I know how important it is to feel your animal is well taken care of and loved while you’re away. To me it would be an honor to provide that reassurance. I have a flexible schedule. I worked as a medical assistant for over 8 years, primarily caring for geriatric patients. That experience taught me patience, attention to detail, and the importance of following routines and individualized care plans. I bring that same level of compassion and adaptability to every pet because no two animals are the same. My home is always clean. Water bowls are refreshed daily, meals are served according to each pet’s normal schedule and portion sizes, and litter boxes are kept clean. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I appreciate a written list of your pet’s routine and any house rules so I can provide consistent care and make everything run smoothly.
“Kathleen was amazing. Highly recommend her. Very professional and treated Charlie as if ihe was her own dog. Very knowledgeable and made sure she understood my needs and Charlie’s. She’s the best!”

My home is safe, calm, and cat-friendly. My apartment community also has an animal park, which is great for supervised outdoor time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine closely to keep pets comfortable and stress-free.

I treat all animals with respect and all the love they deserve. While in my care I provide all that I would for my own. I have had up to 14 dogs in my care at once before, walked fed and love each of them. I have routines I follow for each pet I care for and will follow in home care routine as well. For daycare services I have a fenced yard and enough grounds to walk and keep pets busy. I do require all pets in my care to have shots, flea and tick treatment up to date with proof. All pets MUST be friendly with my own. All pets in my care must be house trained and when possible create trained. If you have a high energy dog that needs to be busy all day I can provide the exercise.
About: I started walking neighbors dogs at 7. 27 years later I now take care of all my friends animals and become their second best friend I’m available all day and evening unless previously booked. Typically between 10 am 10 pm unless I am hosting the animal. I am home most of the day so they will never be lonely or neglected I have one cat that is like my baby. She has her own room and I can crate her if necessary. I live in a safe gated community and can walk dogs around there as often as they need
About: I’m currently in school working toward a future career with animals, so taking care of pets is something I genuinely care about. I’ve spent time around different kinds of animals and feel comfortable with a variety of personalities, from energetic to more calm and shy. I enjoy spending time with pets, whether that’s going on walks, feeding them, taking them to the park, or just keeping them company and giving them attention. I can match their energy depending on what they need. With shy or nervous pets, I’m patient and let them come to me, giving them space while still making sure they’re cared for. I pay close attention to their behavior because I know they can’t tell us what’s wrong, so I don’t take small signs lightly. If something seems off, I take it seriously. I really enjoy learning about animals and their personalities, and I treat every pet with the same care and attention I would give my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I already take care of my own dog and two cats. I make sure their needs are taken care of first thing in the day, so I’m used to staying consistent with feeding, attention, and general care. I have a flexible schedule with mostly online classes, so I’m usually available in the early afternoons through the evening. I spend a lot of time at home, which makes it easy for me to be dependable and consistent when it comes to pet care. I’m open to walks, drop-in visits, and spending quality time with pets throughout the day, and I always make sure they’re getting the attention and care they need. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable and stress-free. I follow any instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, and any specific behaviors or needs the pet has. I’m very respectful of both the pet and the home. I keep things clean, organized, and make sure the environment stays calm. I also pay close attention to the pet’s behavior and mood, especially since they’re in their own space and routine. If I’m caring for pets in my home, I make sure they have a safe and comfortable environment. Since I already have pets, I’m mindful about introductions and making sure everyone feels secure. I keep a clean space, stay consistent with routines, and give them the attention they need while also respecting their boundaries.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was very young, always had a knack for it, I feel I’m at my happiest caring for an animal. I feed, play/entertain, walk, and can even bathe them. Nothings too tough for me. I used to have to take care of my old dog, it was hard because she had arthritis so she couldn’t even get up at times to go to the bathroom so I would carry her and even spoon feed her other times(she was a lab). She was an amazing pet and I miss her every day. I can also take care of multiple pets at a time, wether it be a cat and a dog or just dogs or just cats. I am currently working part time at a restaurant as a server while also finishing my bachelors at FAU as a graphic designer. I am available to work almost everyday if my schedule doesn’t allow it I will let you know but I tend to work more during the daytime. I used to have to take care of my old dog, it was hard because she had arthritis so she couldn't get up at times to go to the bathroom so I would carry her and even spoon feed her other times(she was a lab). She was an amazing pet and I miss her every day. I am young and energetic so I love to run around with your pups!

I am an energetic person who is very active in my free time, I love going on walks, exploring new areas and making new furry friends! I am very flexible as I am retired and can arrange my schedule to fit your needs. I make sure they are safe at all times. I monitor them for any behavioral changes, ensure there is nothing harmful in their vicinity, and just overall make sure the pet is relaxed and happy. I would never leave a pet in a distressed state.

Erika was absolutely amazing with my fur babies. She stayed with them at my apartment for several days. My Lhasa Apso is a subborn pain in the butt that isn’t comfortable with being left with strangers. But Erica won him over!! My other baby is a pug mix with diabetes. She lost her site due to the diabetes as well. She gets insulin injections twice per day along with a couple diff eye drops. It’s crucial that she gets her medication’s at exactly 12 hours apart every single day. She can’t be late and she can’t miss a dosage. She made sure to stay on top of it every single day. She sent me pictures and videos several times a day. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of my babies than Erika. I have been in Florida for 5 1/2 years and I finally found someone to take care of them when I want to leave to see my kids out of state and not feel stressed or worried about their care 💕🙌 I highly recommend

Shay was a pleasure to meet. Very personable and friendly from the moment I met her. I have two dogs that can be a bit timid, and nervous with new people. She has a nice calming spirit about her and they both took to her quickly. I appreciate all the pictures and detailed updates she sent. She left the house, looking great and emptied the trash and made sure the boys had water. Everything was perfect! I will definitely book with her again whenever she’s available. She was very responsive from when I first contacted her through the whole booking. Thank you the boys loved you!

Christine was absolutely amazing watching our dogs while we were on vacation. From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She treated them like her own — giving them love, attention, and plenty of playtime. Christine kept us updated with messages and pictures, which meant so much and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our trip. When we came home, our dogs were happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. We are so grateful for her reliability, kindness, and genuine love for animals. We would highly recommend Christine to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. She is the best!

This is my fourth time hiring Yanela for overnight stays to watch Rosco (dog) and Bongo (bird) while I'm away on business. There's a reason I keep going back, and there's not enough space to even describe how amazing she is. She's a true animal lover and treats every pet as her own. I just wanted a set of eyes on my pets, but she takes Rosco everywhere! She takes him for walks, goes to parks, watches movies, and takes naps with him in the hammock. Rosco is treated like a spoiled rock star! She constantly sends pics or videos, so you'll always know your pets are in good hands and doing great. She also sends pics when she arrives, when they're fed, and when they're put to bed. I have a housekeeper, so I told Yanela to leave the bed unmade, but she makes it up beautifully and leaves everything spotless. You won't even know she was there. She is perfect beyond belief, and if you hire her one time, you'll understand. If there's anything negative to say, I think Rosco is starting to like her more than me! He's always so thrilled to see his "Aunt Yanela," and that means I can leave with total confidence that everything will be handled with great care. Rosco says "woof," which I think is Chihuahua for "thank you so much for a super fun weekend and taking great care of me!" He's looking forward to seeing her again in April. So, if you just need a sitter, you can probably find many good ones on Rover.com But if you need someone who shines brighter than all, who's super responsible, and who will treat your pets with the utmost care, attention, and love, Yanela is your five-star choice!

Carolina was amazing with my girl Tikka! My cat is a true Velcro kitty and Carolina embraced it and spent so much time with Tikka, giving her all the attention, cuddles, and play time she needed while I was away. So happy to have found an amazing and reliable cat sitter! Carolina is super responsive, sent lots of pics and updates, and left the apartment in the great condition. Can’t wait to book again for my next trip away!

Kelly is an amazing dog sitter. This is the second time I’ve used her for overnight stays, and she continues to do a fantastic job. She keeps in touch consistently, sends updates, and I genuinely feel that she cares about my dog. I always feel confident leaving him in her care. I’m also very grateful for how helpful and accommodating she has been whenever I’ve needed support. I highly recommend Kelly

Rebecca was amazing with our frenchie Mika! She sent so many pictures and updates which made us feel so comfortable while away. We also had some travel issues getting home and she was very flexible and helpful on that final day! We look forward to using her again sometime!

FAQs for House Sitting - Golf
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Golf on Rover is $45 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,205 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Golf. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Golf walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Golf maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Golf choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
