About: If you’re looking for a trusted pet sitter, you’re in the right place. I’ll make sure your furry family member is safe, loved, and treated like one of my own while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule and can help with drop in visits, house sitting, boarding whatever works best for you. I’ve been around animals my whole life , from energetic puppies to moody cats and even the occasional rescue with quirks (I get it, we all have them). I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet behind, so I show up the way I’d want someone to for mine: reliable, calm, and with lots of love to give. Whether your dog needs long walks, your cat needs space (but still wants to be admired), or your pet just needs someone to hang out and keep their routine steady, I’m here for it. Let me know what your little buddy needs, and I’ll take care of the rest , updates, belly rubs, and all. 🐾 I work a 4-day week, so I have plenty of time and flexibility for pet care, especially on my days off. I’m available for morning, afternoon, or evening visits depending on the day, and I’m happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pet gets the attention they need. I take the time to get to know each pet’s unique personality and needs whether that’s sticking to a familiar routine, giving them space, or just offering lots of love and attention. I’m always happy to follow detailed instructions, give updates, and communicate so you feel fully at ease while you’re away. Your pet’s well being means everything to me, and I’m committed to earning your trust every step of the way.
“Suzanne was a lifesaver and helped us with a last minute request. She was responsive and quick to help. We did house sitting with Suzanne and it was a smooth process and Josie warmed up to her which is fantastic. Thank you and we look forward to working with you again!!”

“Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with and we felt comfortable leaving our 8 year old dog, Hope with her while we traveled. She was attentive and so loving with her, we got regular updates and photos. Hope had also started to feel a little sick a couple of days before our travels and Taylor handled it incredibly well. Sticking to a medical plan, specific diet and regular updates so we could feel comfortable someone was taking excellent care of her. We will more certainly be booking again. Thank you Taylor!”

“Maria was very caring and considerate. She texted updates and pictures. She also responded quickly to any questions or concerns I may have had. My home and puppy were perfect on my return. Looking forward to calling her again!”

About: My entire family has always had pets, but pets have always been family to me. I found that I have an immense love for these animals and we're so lucky to have them in our lives. My first ever job was animal care! I have volunteered at many animal rescue places, fostered orphaned kittens just for the love of it. I am able to handle breeds large and small, if your pup prefers an outing to the beach I am also willing to offer those services, I hope you find the perfect pet sitter here. I am an artist and would love to fill the time not working with some good exercise with dogs or even a relaxing day with a kitty, my schedule is relatively open and I am able to handle early clients. Any required walks, medications, accident cleanup, and feedings + litter changes are offered with my services. In my own home it would be strictly indoor care, I offer crate services for dogs in a very quiet relaxed environment overnight. If the dog has a lot of energy and friendly I am willing to have them roam around the house and do a lot of leash time outdoors walking or running in my quiet and clean neighborhood.
About: I’ve taken care of my daughters dogs when they travel and I really like enjoy doing it. We have a good connection I love playing and feeding them. I am an energetic person who is very active in my free time, I love going on walks, exploring new areas and making new furry friends! I am very flexible as I am retired and can arrange my schedule to fit your needs. I make sure they are safe at all times. I monitor them for any behavioral changes, ensure there is nothing harmful in their vicinity, and just overall make sure the pet is relaxed and happy. I would never leave a pet in a distressed state.

About: I have always had dogs growing up. I am my friend’s go-to pet sitter. I foster occasionally for Peggy Adam’s and Big Dog Ranch. Dogs > humans forever Working remotely, I have a very flexible schedule. I also live on a beach where I can take doggos. I go to the gym where I am gone a max of 2 hours, but other than that I’m around to best care for your animal. I can care for your pet both in my home or yours, whichever you prefer. I have a love and passion for dogs and I will do anything to be in good company 🐶
“Marian was absolutely wonderful!!! She went above and beyond while taking care of Hunter this past weekend. She sent plenty of photos and videos, kept in touch regularly, and made sure I always felt updated and at ease. Hunter can be a bit particular with his schedule — going in and out, changing collars for day and night, etc. — but Marian handled it all perfectly. He was clearly comfortable and happy with her, which says everything! On top of that, she took excellent care of my home, was very respectful, and truly made the whole experience stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend Marian — we will definitely be booking with her again!”

“We’re so grateful for Jessica! She took amazing care of our dog and cat while we were in Italy — daily updates and happy pets! Thank you for giving us peace of mind and allowing us to fully enjoy our trip! Highly recommended and will absolutely book again!”

“Maria is FANTASTIC. Maria communicates beautifully and was so easy to talk to about Kazak’s specific needs. She did an incredible job attuning to him, keeping me updated, and making sure he was happy and relaxed. Maria house-sat for Kazak, and the experience was so great that I’ve already booked her again for December! I highly recommend her — don’t hesitate to contact Maria!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of all varieties since I was 12. Friends and family have relied on me to care for their pets numerous times over the years. I work part-time. I'm most available for overnight stays Thursday - Sunday as well as between the hours of 10 am to 6 pm on these days. I love long walks with your pet and engaging in fun activities like fetch and tug-of-war as well as lounging when they want a break.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for large breeds, including my own Rottweiler, as well as two cats, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’ve worked with dogs who have allergies, mobility issues, and sensitive backgrounds, so I’m patient, attentive, and focused on keeping pets calm, safe, and comfortable. I’m very active and confident handling dogs of all sizes, including strong or high-energy breeds. Daily care is a big part of my routine, including walks, feeding, playtime, and maintaining consistent schedules. I also have experience preparing specialized meals and following detailed care instructions, including medications when needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your space and stick closely to your pet’s routine to keep things stress-free. I provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I currently use a scooter for transportation, so I focus on local bookings and do not offer car transport (such as trips to dog parks that require driving). If preferred, I can have my boyfriend assist for extra support—especially helpful for longer stays or multiple pets—but only with your approval. I’m also happy to help with light household tasks during house sitting, such as keeping things tidy, bringing in mail, or basic upkeep. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care is a key part of my daily and weekly routine. I walk, feed, groom, and play with my dogs every day, making sure they stay happy and healthy. I also prepare homemade meals tailored to their needs, especially because one has allergies and the other has mobility challenges. With my cats, I give them attention and respect their space. I’m organised and committed to providing consistent, loving care for all pets in my life. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their instructions carefully to maintain the pet’s familiar environment. I make sure to provide companionship, feeding, exercise, and any medication as directed. I communicate regularly with the owner to update them on their pet’s wellbeing and any concerns.

Maryann was absolutely great! She helped out a very little notice, was extremely flexible, listened and implemented our instructions, sent us lots of pictures and most importantly treated our doggie as if it was her own. Maryann will be our forever “go to” sitter
Maria took wonderful care of our cat, Star, for an entire week, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. She followed all of our detailed care instructions, kept us updated with messages and photos, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Star and treated him with kindness and patience. We came home to a happy, healthy cat and a well-cared-for home. Maria is reliable, communicative, and truly goes above and beyond. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter, and we would gladly book her again!

Erika was absolutely amazing with my fur babies. She stayed with them at my apartment for several days. My Lhasa Apso is a subborn pain in the butt that isn’t comfortable with being left with strangers. But Erica won him over!! My other baby is a pug mix with diabetes. She lost her site due to the diabetes as well. She gets insulin injections twice per day along with a couple diff eye drops. It’s crucial that she gets her medication’s at exactly 12 hours apart every single day. She can’t be late and she can’t miss a dosage. She made sure to stay on top of it every single day. She sent me pictures and videos several times a day. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of my babies than Erika. I have been in Florida for 5 1/2 years and I finally found someone to take care of them when I want to leave to see my kids out of state and not feel stressed or worried about their care 💕🙌 I highly recommend

Antonette did an amazing job caring for my 2 cats and 2 dogs. Communication was excellent with quick updates, photos, and always easy to reach. You can tell she genuinely cares and my pets were relaxed and happy when I got back. She’s reliable, attentive, and very trustworthy. I’d absolutely book again!

Shay was a pleasure to meet. Very personable and friendly from the moment I met her. I have two dogs that can be a bit timid, and nervous with new people. She has a nice calming spirit about her and they both took to her quickly. I appreciate all the pictures and detailed updates she sent. She left the house, looking great and emptied the trash and made sure the boys had water. Everything was perfect! I will definitely book with her again whenever she’s available. She was very responsive from when I first contacted her through the whole booking. Thank you the boys loved you!

Kelly is an amazing dog sitter. This is the second time I’ve used her for overnight stays, and she continues to do a fantastic job. She keeps in touch consistently, sends updates, and I genuinely feel that she cares about my dog. I always feel confident leaving him in her care. I’m also very grateful for how helpful and accommodating she has been whenever I’ve needed support. I highly recommend Kelly

Rebecca was amazing with our frenchie Mika! She sent so many pictures and updates which made us feel so comfortable while away. We also had some travel issues getting home and she was very flexible and helpful on that final day! We look forward to using her again sometime!

Lauren was absolutely amazing! She stayed for a long weekend to look after our pup. She took great care of our dog, communicated throughout the stay with photos and videos, and left our house spotless! We definitely will be booking with her again in the future!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Briny Breezes walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Briny Breezes maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Briny Breezes choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Briny Breezes. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
