About: If you’re looking for a trusted pet sitter, you’re in the right place. I’ll make sure your furry family member is safe, loved, and treated like one of my own while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule and can help with drop in visits, house sitting, boarding whatever works best for you. I’ve been around animals my whole life , from energetic puppies to moody cats and even the occasional rescue with quirks (I get it, we all have them). I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet behind, so I show up the way I’d want someone to for mine: reliable, calm, and with lots of love to give. Whether your dog needs long walks, your cat needs space (but still wants to be admired), or your pet just needs someone to hang out and keep their routine steady, I’m here for it. Let me know what your little buddy needs, and I’ll take care of the rest , updates, belly rubs, and all. 🐾 I work a 4-day week, so I have plenty of time and flexibility for pet care, especially on my days off. I’m available for morning, afternoon, or evening visits depending on the day, and I’m happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pet gets the attention they need. I take the time to get to know each pet’s unique personality and needs whether that’s sticking to a familiar routine, giving them space, or just offering lots of love and attention. I’m always happy to follow detailed instructions, give updates, and communicate so you feel fully at ease while you’re away. Your pet’s well being means everything to me, and I’m committed to earning your trust every step of the way.

I understand the unique bond we share with our animals and will ensure yours feels completely safe and cherished." While I work full-time Monday through Friday, I’m available to care for pets on weekends and after work, starting around 5:30 PM. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual personality and needs and make sure they feel comfortable and secure while they’re in my care. I also keep pet areas clean and provide regular updates and photos to their owners so they know how their pet is doing.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for large breeds, including my own Rottweiler, as well as two cats, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’ve worked with dogs who have allergies, mobility issues, and sensitive backgrounds, so I’m patient, attentive, and focused on keeping pets calm, safe, and comfortable. I’m very active and confident handling dogs of all sizes, including strong or high-energy breeds. Daily care is a big part of my routine, including walks, feeding, playtime, and maintaining consistent schedules. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your space and stick closely to your pet’s routine to keep things stress-free. I provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I currently use a scooter for transportation, so I focus on local bookings and do not offer car transport (such as trips to dog parks that require driving). If preferred, I can have my boyfriend assist for extra support—especially helpful for longer stays or multiple pets—but only with your approval. I’m also happy to help with light household tasks during house sitting, such as keeping things tidy, bringing in mail, or basic upkeep. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care is a key part of my daily and weekly routine. I walk, feed, groom, and play with my dogs every day, making sure they stay happy and healthy. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their instructions carefully to maintain the pet’s familiar environment. About: Hi! My name is Cami and I am an English teacher and animal lover. In my free time I love to play with my cats, go for hikes and read. I have many years of experience taking care of animals including but not limited to cats, dogs, rabbits, rats, bearded dragons, fish, and even chickens! I currently have two cats and two bearded dragons, but in the past I had my Chihuahua, Peanut, who was my best friend for 15 years. What sets me apart from other sitters is my compassion for others and animals. I can assure you that I would take care of your beloved pets just as I would my own.
“Malynda takes great care of my dogs. Appreciate the photo updates, bringing in packages while house sitting, emptying the roomba, trash, bringing her dog for them to play with too.”

About: Hello, my name is Leila Woods and I am currently in my senior year at FAU. I was raised in a quiet beach town, but in a rather noisy house. For furry friends we have had multiple dogs, cats and fish, as well as some bearded dragons! I have been pet sitting for nearly five years now, as I began in high school with watching my neighbors pets. I love being able to spend my time adoring and caring for animals, especially now that I’m away at college with no pets of my own… so your pets will get extra love and attention! I am currently a senior in mostly remote classes and work an online job, so I will have plenty of time to spend with your furry friends! As I don’t have animals of my own I will have extra love and attention for your pets! I treat any animal I work with as my own, being sure to care for its every need. As I care for your pets, I will also care for your home, ensuring all food and toys are where they belong.

I truly believe dogs are not just pets but are family members who deserve the same level and care as a child.
“Megan is a reliable and mature dog sitter. She makes you feel completely at easy bc your furry baby is being loved & cared for so well !! We loved having her in our home. She is the best! Highly reccomend her. Will use her again & again!!”

About: Dogs you don't have to struggle for their affection if they are that type of dog. However, with cats they come to you when they are ready. They will sense if you appreciate them and then they can show you their personality and affection. Dogs personality usually is shown right away and try to see how fast they can get away with things they know they should not. I currently work remotely so I can play with them at any time. I pay attention to them and rub their belly while I am on the computer. When they need feeding I provide it: at the time of the client's request, I clean up and straight up. If I care in my home I ensure that I follow all the rules the client has provided. If it's in my home I ensure I keep an eye on what they are doing, and keep any glasses or breakable items away.
“Audrey did a great job watching Murph over the weekend! She was communicative, respectful of my home, and sent plenty of photos and updates throughout the stay. I came back to a happy pup and a tidy house. Would definitely book her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Ocean Ridge
Maria was absolutely wonderful! She house sat for us for four days and took such great care of our cat, Star. She was incredibly attentive, reliable, and caring, and kept us updated with messages and photos throughout our trip, which we really appreciated. It was such a comfort knowing that Star was happy, comfortable, and being so well cared for in his own home. We came home to a very happy Star and our house exactly as we left it. We completely trusted Maria in our home and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely have her watch Star again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and trustworthy sitter. Thank you so much, Maria!

Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with and we felt comfortable leaving our 8 year old dog, Hope with her while we traveled. She was attentive and so loving with her, we got regular updates and photos. Hope had also started to feel a little sick a couple of days before our travels and Taylor handled it incredibly well. Sticking to a medical plan, specific diet and regular updates so we could feel comfortable someone was taking excellent care of her. We will more certainly be booking again. Thank you Taylor!

Erika was absolutely amazing with my fur babies. She stayed with them at my apartment for several days. My Lhasa Apso is a subborn pain in the butt that isn’t comfortable with being left with strangers. But Erica won him over!! My other baby is a pug mix with diabetes. She lost her site due to the diabetes as well. She gets insulin injections twice per day along with a couple diff eye drops. It’s crucial that she gets her medication’s at exactly 12 hours apart every single day. She can’t be late and she can’t miss a dosage. She made sure to stay on top of it every single day. She sent me pictures and videos several times a day. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of my babies than Erika. I have been in Florida for 5 1/2 years and I finally found someone to take care of them when I want to leave to see my kids out of state and not feel stressed or worried about their care 💕🙌 I highly recommend

This was our second time using Karren -- this time we had her stay with our pup in our home for 2 nights. Karren was very caring with our dog during thunderstorms and also was very helpful with making sure our home was secure during it. We appreciate her partnership!

Antonette did an amazing job caring for my 2 cats and 2 dogs. Communication was excellent with quick updates, photos, and always easy to reach. You can tell she genuinely cares and my pets were relaxed and happy when I got back. She’s reliable, attentive, and very trustworthy. I’d absolutely book again!

Shay was a pleasure to meet. Very personable and friendly from the moment I met her. I have two dogs that can be a bit timid, and nervous with new people. She has a nice calming spirit about her and they both took to her quickly. I appreciate all the pictures and detailed updates she sent. She left the house, looking great and emptied the trash and made sure the boys had water. Everything was perfect! I will definitely book with her again whenever she’s available. She was very responsive from when I first contacted her through the whole booking. Thank you the boys loved you!

Kelly is an amazing dog sitter. This is the second time I’ve used her for overnight stays, and she continues to do a fantastic job. She keeps in touch consistently, sends updates, and I genuinely feel that she cares about my dog. I always feel confident leaving him in her care. I’m also very grateful for how helpful and accommodating she has been whenever I’ve needed support. I highly recommend Kelly

Manda is the best!! My kitties always have such a happy and peaceful time with her. One of them is very anxious and he is always calm and happy with her. He even packed himself into her bag last time! lol I highly recommend Manda, she is professional, clean, and dependable. You will always feel at ease when she is caring for your pets.

Lauren was absolutely amazing! She stayed for a long weekend to look after our pup. She took great care of our dog, communicated throughout the stay with photos and videos, and left our house spotless! We definitely will be booking with her again in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 2,815 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Ocean Ridge. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Ocean Ridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Ocean Ridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ocean Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ocean Ridge. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
