“Kathleen was the most wonderful pet sitter ever! Not only did my 2 dogs and cat love her but so did we! She stayed at my house for 2 weeks while we were in Spain and cooked for them and even watered our plants and took care of our house. My babies were so well taken care of and loved! ❤️ I definitely will be using her every time! I recommend you do too!”

“Our dogs had a great time with Logan over the weekend. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs a dog sitter.”

“My review is late, but not because we were unhappy with David....quite the opposite!!!! David is the absolute best!!!!!!! He truly loves what he does and the pets respond to him. David took care of our two dogs for about a week. One of our American Eskimos needed extra attention, ...David was excellent with his care. Our other dog just wanted to play and play!!! David loved and played with our little sweethearts.... they took to him immediately at our initial meet and greet! Even our cat who usually hides when someone comes home, comes right away straight to him. We loved getting daily updates and pics from David. I recommend David hands down, we are planning another trip and we already told him to save the date for us...HE IS THE BEST!!! I give him 5 stars times a hundred!!!”

“Jessica was amazing! She took care of our two puppies while we were in Palm Springs for two events. She came to our hotel and took them on a long walk to wear them out and spent time with them until we returned. She was prompt, flexible when our event ran later than expected, and even sent us photos of their adventures. I highly recommend her!”

“Jennifer was great! She watched my dog for a week over Christmas. She communicated regularly and took great care of him. She cleaned and left the place in great condition. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I have more then 15 years with dogs, cats and birds. I have worked with vets with dogs under my care. Dogs with medical conditions and healthy ones. I treat all animals with respect and all the love they deserve. While in my care I provide all that I would for my own. I have had up to 14 dogs in my care at once before, walked fed and love each of them. I have routines I follow for each pet I care for and will follow in home care routine as well. For daycare services I have a fenced yard and enough grounds to walk and keep pets busy. I do require all pets in my care to have shots, flea and tick treatment up to date with proof. All pets MUST be friendly with my own. All pets in my care must be house trained and when possible create trained. If you have a high energy dog that needs to be busy all day I can provide the exercise.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was very young, always had a knack for it, I feel I’m at my happiest caring for an animal. I feed, play/entertain, walk, and can even bathe them. Nothings too tough for me. I used to have to take care of my old dog, it was hard because she had arthritis so she couldn’t even get up at times to go to the bathroom so I would carry her and even spoon feed her other times(she was a lab). She was an amazing pet and I miss her every day. I can also take care of multiple pets at a time, wether it be a cat and a dog or just dogs or just cats. I am currently working part time at a restaurant as a server while also finishing my bachelors at FAU as a graphic designer. I am available to work almost everyday if my schedule doesn’t allow it I will let you know but I tend to work more during the daytime. I used to have to take care of my old dog, it was hard because she had arthritis so she couldn't get up at times to go to the bathroom so I would carry her and even spoon feed her other times(she was a lab). She was an amazing pet and I miss her every day. I am young and energetic so I love to run around with your pups!

“Mackenzie is an amazing dog sitter! She was super communicative, flexible, and made sure our 3 very needy dogs got all the love they require. Highly recommend!!”

I work from home in medical billing, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. With a supportive household, there is always someone available to provide care, attention, and a safe, loving environment for pets. I do not have a fenced yard; however, I ensure dogs remain active and engaged through multiple daily walks. For safety, my dogs are crate-trained, and I can accommodate crating or separation as needed. I am happy to provide slow, supervised introductions or keep pets separated at all times to match your comfort level. I prioritize supervision, structure, and maintaining a calm, loving environment for every dog in my care.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Aberdeen
Jess took wonderful care of my older dog while I was away. She stayed at my home for most of the day and every night, giving my dog the companionship, attention, and consistency she needed. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she wasn’t alone for long periods, especially at her age. Jess was reliable, communicative, and treated both my home and my dog with great care. I came home to a happy, well cared for dog and a house that was just as I left it. I truly appreciated her dedication and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you, Jess!
We had a great experience with our sitter. She took wonderful care of all our animals, kept us updated throughout our trip, and sent us pictures and messages so we knew how everyone was doing. She was very sweet and patient with each of their different personalities, especially with our dog and cats. She also took great care of our home and even helped us by bringing a very heavy delivery into the garage. We truly appreciated her help and would definitely recommend her!

I can't recommend Emily highly enough. She stayed at my house and watched my maltipoo for over two weeks, and she did an absolutely amazing job. I'd never met her before, so naturally I had some nerves about handing over my home and my dog to someone new, but those disappeared fast. She earned my complete trust. She took wonderful care of the house and even better care of Baxter, who was clearly happy and well looked after the whole time. On top of that, she kept me updated regularly, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Emily was an incredible find, and I'd welcome her back in a heartbeat. If you're looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely caring, she's the one.

Julia was great! She took my dogs on walks, she sent pictures of them, and communicated very well. When I got home I could tell my dogs were well taken care of and they were treated as if they were her own dogs. My flight home get delayed and Julia was even willing to run back over and let them out again. She is very nice, professional, and left my home in better shape than I left it. I definitely recommend Julia and will book her again when I can!

5 stars isn’t enough to express the care that my babies received. Eric was highly communicative and also mindful of quirky requests that I made regarding food and sleeping arrangements for my old bestie. My pups were literally on vacation while I was out of town and that is an awesome experience all around.
Christine was absolutely amazing watching our dogs while we were on vacation. From the moment we left, we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She treated them like her own — giving them love, attention, and plenty of playtime. Christine kept us updated with messages and pictures, which meant so much and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our trip. When we came home, our dogs were happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. We are so grateful for her reliability, kindness, and genuine love for animals. We would highly recommend Christine to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. She is the best!

Andrew took really good care of NY 4 year old Boxer, Tucker in my home while I was away for 5 days. He kept me informed on how he was doing throughout his stay at my home, including beautiful pictures of him walking, relaxing and playing. Not only did he do a good job providing his pet sitting services, he also kept the areas allowed in our home neat and tidy. I highly recommend Andrew as a great pet sitter. I will request his services again for my future pet sitting needs. Thank Andrew for a job well done.

Taylor was great! We have 2 high energy dogs and she came over often and gave them plenty of attention. She even let them have pool time and took them for a walk which they loved. She also sent updates and photos which was very nice. We will definitely keep her in mind for future visits!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Aberdeen on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,126 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Aberdeen. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Aberdeen walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Aberdeen maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aberdeen choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
