“Isabel was an absolute delight! I was a little nervous booking with someone new, but the moment she came over to meet our dogs, I felt completely at ease. She kept us updated throughout our trip and sent plenty of photos. It was clear they were getting lots of love and attention—when we got home, they were relaxed and happy, so I knew they’d been well cared for. She will be my first call the next time I need someone to watch my boys.”

There is also a fenced dog park in our apartment community :)
“Jasmine was AMAZING with my two girls. I was able to take a few days away and relax knowing she was caring for my pups. Thank you so much for helping me! Jasmine is the best!”

“Isabel was phenomenal with my three month old puppy. She took great care of him, followed my care schedule that I do with him. She did the same thing. My puppy requires a lot of care and constant supervision and she made sure everything was safe and sent me the cutest pics of my puppy throughout the day. I was able to go to work everyday relieved knowing that Isabella was taking care of my puppy!”

“Upon our first meeting, I knew that Pamela was going to be a good fit for my fearful dog. I highly recommend Pamela for dog sitting. She is extremely responsible, friendly, and trustworthy. Sophie is not an easy dog but bonded nicely with her. Thank you Pamela for making my trip more pleasant with less stress and worry.”

“Shelly was so great with everything! She communicated with me so well from our initial inquiry, meet and greet, to/throughout the stay with our pets. Even when our dog blew out her knee between the meet and greet and stay, I reached out to make sure Shelly would still be comfortable. She was able to handle all the instructions and take great care of our dog who needed a little extra attention and care. I would certainly trust her again and look forward to booking with her in the future.”

“Well, our pups have a new Auntie! I can only say that Auntie Evelyn went above and beyond. Not only is she very professional, she is very warm and caring. Evelyn will take extra care and spoil your furbabies. She watched Maggie & Milo in our home, and when we returned back from vacay, our home was cleaner than before we left. I highly recommend Evelyn for all your pet sitting needs. Can't wait to go away again. Thank you and see you soon! Fred & Lisa & Maggie & Milo”

“Marian was absolutely wonderful!!! She went above and beyond while taking care of Hunter this past weekend. She sent plenty of photos and videos, kept in touch regularly, and made sure I always felt updated and at ease. Hunter can be a bit particular with his schedule — going in and out, changing collars for day and night, etc. — but Marian handled it all perfectly. He was clearly comfortable and happy with her, which says everything! On top of that, she took excellent care of my home, was very respectful, and truly made the whole experience stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend Marian — we will definitely be booking with her again!”

Jaclyn is wonderful! We recommend her highly and without reservation. She watched our two dogs, a bullmastiff and a lab mix, and she exceeded our expectations. Our dogs bonded with her instantly, she was attentive to all their needs, and she kept us updated daily with photos and stories. Perfect!

Roberta has been absolutely fantastic! You can tell she is a true dog lover from the first moment she met our pups. She has been a perfect fit for helping us during a busy time—always professional and consistently on time. We especially love that she sends regular updates and videos, which gives us such peace of mind. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her and highly recommend booking her!

This is my fourth time hiring Yanela for overnight stays to watch Rosco (dog) and Bongo (bird) while I'm away on business. There's a reason I keep going back, and there's not enough space to even describe how amazing she is. She's a true animal lover and treats every pet as her own. I just wanted a set of eyes on my pets, but she takes Rosco everywhere! She takes him for walks, goes to parks, watches movies, and takes naps with him in the hammock. Rosco is treated like a spoiled rock star! She constantly sends pics or videos, so you'll always know your pets are in good hands and doing great. She also sends pics when she arrives, when they're fed, and when they're put to bed. I have a housekeeper, so I told Yanela to leave the bed unmade, but she makes it up beautifully and leaves everything spotless. You won't even know she was there. She is perfect beyond belief, and if you hire her one time, you'll understand. If there's anything negative to say, I think Rosco is starting to like her more than me! He's always so thrilled to see his "Aunt Yanela," and that means I can leave with total confidence that everything will be handled with great care. Rosco says "woof," which I think is Chihuahua for "thank you so much for a super fun weekend and taking great care of me!" He's looking forward to seeing her again in April. So, if you just need a sitter, you can probably find many good ones on Rover.com But if you need someone who shines brighter than all, who's super responsible, and who will treat your pets with the utmost care, attention, and love, Yanela is your five-star choice!

Carolina was amazing with my girl Tikka! My cat is a true Velcro kitty and Carolina embraced it and spent so much time with Tikka, giving her all the attention, cuddles, and play time she needed while I was away. So happy to have found an amazing and reliable cat sitter! Carolina is super responsive, sent lots of pics and updates, and left the apartment in the great condition. Can’t wait to book again for my next trip away!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kings Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kings Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kings Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
