“We’re so happy and grateful to Josely and her family for the love and care that they provided to our dog Apollo. They were very responsive with us as well, sending check ins with pictures and summaries throughout the day. Plus, their spacious backyard was perfect for our highly energetic fur baby, who had a lovely time playing with their dog. We highly recommend Josely and fam! Thanks again! Sharon, Yasiel, and Apollo 🐶”

“Simona was extremely helpful once again. We were in a time crunch and she went out of her way to pick up our dog at the hotel we were staying. We always appreciate all of her help!”

“Bella had a wonderful time with Marilyn and her family. Marilyn also helped me out with the potty training which I was SO impressed with. I highly recommend Marilyn and will use her again!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have experience caring for all kinds of pets — including dogs 🐕, cats 🐈, hamsters 🐹, turtles 🐢, fish 🐠, and more. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family members. This is why I prioritize timely updates, plenty of photos, and sticking closely to each pet’s unique routine and needs. I work from home full time, so your pet will always be well supervised and taken care of. My home is designed to be a safe, welcoming space for pets of all personalities and energy levels, and I also have a separate detached studio space available for those who may need their own quiet area or separation from my own pets. I’m happy to accommodate feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, training reinforcement, or any specific care instructions that help your pet feel right at home. I have one dog and two cats that get along well with other pets - a Russell Terrier mix puppy named Annie, and two rescue cats named Remey & Erney. I’m familiar with puppy energy, training, routines, and the patience that comes with helping dogs learn and as well as understand how important it is to create a calm, safe environment and let animals build trust at their own pace. Because I work from home full time, I’m able to provide pets with lots of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. Caring for animals fits naturally into my routine, whether that means walks, playtime, cuddle breaks, or whatever else they might need! I’m thoughtful, reliable, and attentive when caring for pets, and I always want both pets and owners to feel comfortable and at ease. I’m also extremely organized, clean, and respectful of other people’s homes. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space the same way I treat my own and make sure everything is left exactly as you left it. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, well-cared-for pet and complete peace of mind. You can also expect regular updates, photos, and open communication so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Jaclyn was great with my mini dachshund Betty! She sent me plenty of photos and gave Betty ice cold water after her short walks in the heat! She was communicative to me and kind to my dog. Will be using her again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have always had a passion for animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I currently have a miniature dachshund of my own, so I’m very familiar with caring for small breeds and understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I also completed an externship at an animal medical center, which gave me additional experience working around animals and understanding their health and well-being. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I recently moved to the area and currently have a very flexible schedule, allowing me to provide attentive and reliable care for your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet care throughout the week and on weekends. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I strive to follow their normal routine as closely as possible while providing plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. As a dog owner myself, I understand the importance of trusting someone with your furry family member. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs they may have. During visits, I’ll ensure your pet has fresh water, exercise, playtime, and lots of love while keeping your home secure and clean. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.

“Emily was such a delight!! She was super communicative once I dropped Aria off and she gave her the best care I could’ve asked for. So grateful to have her in my area and go back to her whenever I need. Thank you so much Em!! :)”

“We were fortunate Suzanne was available for two of the three days we needed day care for our temperamental poodle rescue while we were on vacation in Delray Beach. He is a senior dog who enjoys a quiet environment and someone to give him their undivided attention. Suzanne was the perfect day care sitter for him! When we visit Delray Beach next year, we plan to book with her earlier to make sure she is available for all the days Boscoe needs day care.”

“Absolutely amazing sitter, took my husky shadow in on such short notice and was very attentive to his care, needs, and safety. Best sitter I’ve found on this app so far, would recommend for anyone who is looking for a loving sitter. Will book again (: 10/10”

“Cristina was great with communication and keeping me updated with Rhubarb’s activities through pictures and videos. She reached out when necessary and kept me feel reassured that my pup was doing well. Rhubarb will definitely be back!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for the last 18 years. I have worked with senior dogs and administering medicine as well. I also have worked with puppies. I have done daycare as well as overnight care and long term . I just lost my 18 year old shitzu a few months ago and miss having dogs around. I am home so I am very flexible and attentive to the animals. We can play, go out for walks , eat some treats and chill. I can cook whatever food is needed for each dog. I have a designated room for the dog to chill in between walks. I also have an outdoor lanai that is screened in so really nice to sunbath.

If anything comes up, I’m totally willing to work around our schedules to make sure I can be there for your pup! This past year at school, I was walking a dog weekly and drove an extra 20 minutes to take him out for a quick walk- I’m willing to go out of my way if you need! I currently live at home with a huge fenced in yard and pool! We have one small labradoodle here who is playful. I have fostered 3 different dogs of all sizes so far, staying attentive and playing with them at all times. She was very communicative, kind and understanding to my situations. She reasonably accommodated my dog and took lots of pictures of her day with him. She definitely tired my little one out and I am truly grateful for the car she provided to my dog and I. I would recommend her to you.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Gulf Stream commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
