I have puppy training experience and pride myself in having been a number of my friends’ emergency call in helping with their new puppies in the past!! I grew up cat sitting many of my neighbor’s cats when they were out of town and lived with kittens for a few years. I tend to be the designated pet caretaker amongst my friends and have experience fostering dogs as well. Animals bring me so much pure joy, my dream would be to open a sanctuary and take in as many rescues as I can! I have a very flexible schedule. Though a days notice is helpful I can generally be flexible and drop in last minute! *I have a 11 year old Klee Kai who loves other dogs. If you want your dog to socialize I can bring her along! Whether a home visit or a walk I’d love to be able to keep your pet company and tend to whatever their needs may be. I am responsible and reliable. I am very aware of my surroundings when walking dogs when it comes to traffic, other dogs, children, wildlife, or food/ garbage on the floor!

About: Besides having dogs since I was a kid, we bred our Westie when I was in high school, and I was able to help raise four puppies. Yeah, it WAS that cool. 🤣 My spouse and I have had dogs for 30 years, each adopted from shelters that either had strikes against them, or had other emotional issues. It's our honor to have been 'picked' by Murphy (for 14 years), Lhia (for 12 years), and Monty (for 13 years) who came into our house as a puppy foster and immediately became part of our family. I've worked in kennels (in Chicago) and had private pet sitting clients while working as an actor, teacher, and coach. I've just spent the past year with our Great Pup-phew, Jax, who will be moving to Maine with his momma later this month. You can trust that your pet will feel safe, surrounded by their own things, your smells, and all the comfort they need so you can travel with ease. I work virtually when I am not on set, so I can fit any schedule into my daily and weekly routine. I personally take care of our senior pup with no problems. I follow the instructions set from any client's home first, incorporating my life to meet their needs. In my own home, our senior pup got two full walks (early morning/early evening), two mini walks (as needed when he asks), and plenty of play time. He only had fresh food, since that worked best for him, and LOVED walks at the beach! At the end of our time together, we tried to let him tell US what he wanted. You get the best smiles that way.

About: I've owned 5 dogs, 1 cat, and many fish. Several animals I've been a parent/step-parent to have eventually needed medical care, and my work with local cat and dog rescues, both as a facilitator and as a member of the team have given me insight and experience with proper animal care and training. I've worked with a number of trainers, veterinarians, and rescues to help animals throughout my life and am excited to cater to your pet's needs! My schedule is flexible, although feedings, walkings, and playtimes work best since I have two dogs and cannot board or stay overnight. I am willing to commute depending on time of day and distance. The pets in my home have affectionate boundaries that help them thrive, but as an animal rescuer, I know each pet's personality and medical care may have different requirements. I am happy to accommodate to your preferences and I love providing as much affection and attention as I can.
