“Ana was awesome! She was really positive and asked a bunch of questions to make sure she knew everything she needed to know to take care of our XL puppy. She was super flexible and willing to work with us and kept us well-updated while we were away. We'll definitely reach out to her again the next time we have to travel!”

About: I’ve always had pets, everyone in my family knows me for the kind of person to always be around animals. I have two beautiful chihuahuas, thirteen energetic cockatiels, and so many Pygmy goats that I love dearly. For those who know me, know that I love talking about critters, and wish to work in wildlife rehabilitation in the future. Your pets will be very well taken care of. 😊 I am a full-time Environmental Studies student, but aside from that I will have plenty of time after my classes to care for your pets. I am more free on Wednesdays after 2PM, and Friday & Saturday, 9AM- 6PM. I would love if I was notified of a booking a day or two beforehand in order to make sure I will have no other appointments available. As a pet owner myself, I expect others to treat my pets with the respect I give them, so I know that every pet owner deserves to feel that their pet is to be safe and in good trusting hands. I will follow any important regulations that is provided to me, because you know your pet better than me and I trust myself to protect them as well.

About: I have over 25 years of hands-on animal care experience, starting in childhood on a farm and continuing throughout my life. Caring for animals has always been a core part of who I am, not just something I do. I have extensive experience with dogs and cats. I am comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including pets with more medicine needs. I work with animals of all sizes and dispositions. I am very experienced with medication administration, including oral medications, subcutaneous injections in cats, injections in dogs, and specialty medications such as cancer treatments, which I administer carefully and safely using proper protective equipment. I am also familiar with veterinary care routines and attentive to changes in behavior or health. I am known for being gentle, patient, observant, and calm, even in challenging situations. I have significant experience caring for senior pets, animals with medical needs, and cats with strong personalities or aggression. I respect animals’ boundaries, read their body language closely, and know when to give space and when to confidently stand my ground so everyone stays safe and comfortable. What truly sets me apart is how deeply I care. I love getting to know each animal as an individual, learning their routines, preferences, and quirks, and interacting with them in the way that works best for them. I take pride in making animals feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for while their humans are away. I’m trustworthy, attentive, and fully present when I’m with your pets. I will likely give them silly nicknames and may even sing to them, but above all, I will treat them with kindness, respect, and the same level of care I would want for my own animals. I work from home, which means my schedule is very flexible, and pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. Because I’m not tied to a rigid office schedule, I’m able to plan my days around pet visits, routines, and any special care needs rather than trying to fit them in between other commitments. I’m proud to be one of the go-to pet sitters in my Sacramento community, and I take that trust seriously. When I commit to caring for pets, they receive my full attention, not rushed or distracted care. I’m able to reliably maintain feeding schedules, administer medications, provide enrichment and companionship, and keep up with daily care tasks that help pets feel comfortable and secure. I understand how important consistency, calm, and reliability are for pets when their people are away. My flexible schedule allows me to spend quality time with each pet, observe their behavior closely, and notice any changes early. I communicate clearly and provide thoughtful updates so pet parents can feel confident and at ease while they’re gone. Pet sitting isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule. It’s something I intentionally make space for. I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and am excited to continue offering dependable, attentive, and compassionate pet care to my community. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my approach is centered on safety, consistency, and respect for each pet’s routine. I take the time to understand each pet’s needs, preferences, and any special care instructions so their environment feels as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow established feeding schedules, medication instructions, and care routines carefully, and I’m experienced administering a wide range of medications when needed. I’m attentive to behavior, appetite, energy levels, and overall comfort, and I address any concerns promptly and thoughtfully. I prioritize creating a calm, clean, and secure environment. I’m mindful of doors, gates, leashes, litter boxes, food storage, and any household safety considerations. I respect pets’ boundaries and personalities, and I interact with them in the way that works best for them, whether that’s active engagement, gentle companionship, or giving them space while still keeping a close eye on their well-being. Communication is very important to me. I provide regular updates, including photos, so pet parents can see that their pets are comfortable, happy, and well cared for. I’m responsive, transparent, and proactive with communication, which helps owners feel confident and at ease while they’re away. Above all, I care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection. I take the responsibility seriously and treat every pet and home with the same level of care and respect I would expect for my own.
“Dustin is wonderful. I often need to make last minute plans. Dustin always quickly responds to out request to let us know his availability. Our dog, Hank, is aging and Dustin takes such good care of him. I never need to worry as Dustin is 100% reliable. I highly recommend Dustin as he is the best of the best”
About: I have 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience and have been around cats all my life. I also have my own pup named Laika who is a Labrador Retriever. I would be the person my family would call to administer any type of medication. I also have some experience training as I was able to train my service dog with an organization. I can definitely work on basics with your puppy! I’m currently trying to make this full-time work so I can afford to go back to school for nursing! Nothing is too much for your furry family members. I’ve always been respectful of others spaces, just ask my friend who I commonly visited to take care of her cats while she was away! The litter was always cleaned up, along with the food mess. I will treat your home as if it was my own.
About: I had three dogs: Cookie, Brownie and Oreo, which I love deeply. They were with me for almost 15 years, unfortunately they recently died due to sickness. I’ve taken care of friends' dogs for a long time. I have become a dog sitter full time since I’m retired, I can spend a lot of time with the dogs I take care of. I only host one client at a time, to give the doggies a safe and playfull environment. I used to go for walks with my 3 dogs around the neighborhood every morning and play with them during the day. I have plenty of space in the backyard for them to run freely. My backyard is fenced and I have a lock on the backyard's door. My dog guests stay inside with me most of the time, I take them outisde for potty breaks and walks. They are allow on the couch, but not the bed.
“Georgia is great! Georgia was very communicative and so detailed in the updates. I appreciated how Georgia really tried to get to know my cat and give me the most descriptive updates. I arrived with my cat’s food and water bowls full and a clean litter box. Thanks again Georgia!”

“We are truly grateful to have found Erika. We were extremely hesitant to leave our little guy with anyone and from the moment we met Erika, we felt at ease— and so did Rocky. She truly takes the time to understand our pups needs and has delivered every single time (beyond expectations). I would recommend her to anyone and look forward to continuing to use her services.”

“Jazmin was amazing checking in on Lucy! Followed all care instructions I had left for her. She was very communicative and sent me so many update pictures/videos of Lucy. Definitely recommend booking with her as a dog sitter!”

“Beth was fantastic! She was communicative for our whole trip and took really great care of our two kitties. Bonus, she taook better pictures of the kitties than I do!”

“Holly has been a regular for our energetic mini-Aussie. She’s given an excellent description of their outings and willingly participated in some of the training we’ve been doing for Good Citizen Certification.”

“Natalie is absolutely fantastic, flexible, and a dream. She's also quick to resound and very communicative with potential issues and loving to my shy and skittish (at first) dog. I couldn't recommend her high enough. 10/5 stars.”

“Aicha was great with Brindle. This time our persisting was super last minute and she got back to us right away so we knew we could plan our time away. She sent us pics and just asked us if she had any questions....great sitter!”

Glen Elder pet parents share their Rover experiences
Isabella is a treasure! My cat is a sensitive soul who demands a lot of attention and takes medication daily. Isabella asked super thorough questions during our meet and greet, followed all instructions, and took the cutest pictures and videos of him! We were kept well updated and able to enjoy our trip without fretting about him. She provided thoughtful care and we came back to a happy boy. Thank you!!

Julia is extremely professional! She showed up exactly on time, and kept me in the loop for her drop in visit with our huskies. We’re so grateful to know that we can count on Julia when we have to be out of the house for longer than usual, it really lets us enjoy outings while knowing our pups are well-cared for ❤️

Mia was amazing with my dog this past week over Thanksgiving. She gave very specific updates and was always on time. She also followed all the little instructions in order to keep my dogs routine the same while being gone. I would strongly recommend her to anyone!

I had a great experience with Aime! Communication was excellent from start to finish. She kept me updated every step of the way. She let me know when she arrived for each drop-in and even sent me a photo, which gave me so much peace of mind. Super sweet, clearly cares about animals, and very reliable. Highly recommend!

Taylor was amazing with our kitties! She was punctual and professional and it was very clear that the cats really trusted her. One of them is quite shy, but the photos showed that she came out for Taylor to get affection and food. She played with and pet the more social of the two so he didn't get too lonely while we were away. She even washed the food dishes after use! Can't recommend her enough if you need someone to look after your cats!
