“Tessa was amazing with our anxious dog, Polly. We recently moved to the area and were so happy to find someone that Polly was comfortable around. Tessa did drop ins for oral medication and potty breaks, and made sure that Polly got lots of love!”

About: I’ve been around pets my whole life. I have my own cat, Button, whom I love dearly and have taken care of pets for my friends lately. I am in between jobs so I am free to work with whatever schedule you have. If you have leftover food that needs to be used, I’d be happy to not let them go to waste. I prefer to care for your pets in their home territory. I am very easy going and happy to follow any instructions you have for me.

“Natalie was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of my drama queen dachshund and my very affectionate and clingy deaf cat while I was away — not an easy duo, but she handled them both with so much patience, humor, and genuine affection. I was shocked that my normally reluctant to meet new people dog was immediately ready to go on walks with Natalie (Natalie went at her pace and comfort level, which made all the difference). She sent detailed updates and plenty of pictures every day, so I felt totally at ease (and honestly like I wasn’t missing a thing). Both pets looked so happy and relaxed, which says everything about the kind of care she provides. To top it off, Natalie even noticed a perishable package had been delivered and thoughtfully put it in the fridge for me, truly so nice of her and way above and beyond. I came home to two content pets and my fresh veggies. If you’re looking for someone who’s reliable, compassionate, and treats your pets like her own, Natalie is the one. I’d give her ten stars if I could! I will 100% be rebooking Natalie moving forward.”

“Ana was awesome! She was really positive and asked a bunch of questions to make sure she knew everything she needed to know to take care of our XL puppy. She was super flexible and willing to work with us and kept us well-updated while we were away. We'll definitely reach out to her again the next time we have to travel!”

“Aicha was amazing! Super easy to communicate with and made sure our cat Theo got lots of attention and love. She even offered to water our plants! We’ll definitely use her services again :)”

“Jazmin was amazing checking in on Lucy! Followed all care instructions I had left for her. She was very communicative and sent me so many update pictures/videos of Lucy. Definitely recommend booking with her as a dog sitter!”

“Vahid took excellent care of our furry kids while we were away. He communicated with us regularly, took plenty of pictures, and was very respectful of our home. It was such a relief to come home knowing our boys were well taken care of. We will definitely check with him next time we have a need for someone to check in on our kids. Thank you so much!”
“Samantha was a joy to work with. She was so kind and took such great care with Boo. We are so sad that she is moving out of the area and wish her the best of luck in all her endeavors! Thank you, Sam!”

I currently own both a dog and cat, and am happy to take care of both. I understand that pets are family and I'll treat them like my very own. My current job gives me very flexible work hours, and I can easily accommodate last-minute requests. I will provide a calm, reliable, caring experience for your pets. My current job provides me with a very flexible schedule during summer months. I can work most hours of the day (mornings, afternoons, evenings) and am more than happy to book any last-minute requests for sitting or walks. I have a car so I can easily drive to clients' homes for walks, check-ins or overnight stays. I have experience running my own small business, and I understand the importance of organization, communication and reliability with my clients. I love animals and getting to know them, and I will take care of your animals as if they're my own.
About: Hi 🙂 I’d love to welcome your furry friend into my home. I’ve been caring for dogs for 10+ years, helping friends and others with their pets, along with Rover. I truly love animals, and it’s my goal to give them the happiest and most comfortable experience possible. As someone who works from home, I’m around throughout the day to provide plenty of attention, care, and companionship. I also volunteer at animal shelters, caring for dogs of all ages- from playful puppies to sweet seniors- so I’m comfortable with different personalities and needs. I’d love to meet your furry family member and give them a home away from home! Please feel free to share any special requests or details about your pup and I’m happy to accommodate. 📍Sacramento | San Francisco Pet care fits naturally into my day since I work from home - I’m around most of the time, which means plenty of attention, regular walks, and lots of cuddles. Walks, meals, and playtime all happen on their usual schedule because keeping their routine consistent is the best way to keep them happy and comfortable.
“This was our first experience with Rover and Melinda did an amazing job! My dog Charlie is reactive and nervous around new people but warmed up to Melinda quickly during our meet and greet. Melinda played with Charlie and provided pictures and detailed feedback on the drop-in visit. I’m so grateful to have found this service and Melinda in particular!”

About: Please don't let my newer account fool you! *You may ignore the additional pet rates listed on my profile. With very rare exceptions, I only charge $5 per extra pet, per visit, but Rover automatically calculates and displays a much higher rate for some reason. I can reduce the cost manually on my end once you send the booking request.* As a lifelong lover of animals big and small, furry, hairy, slimy, crawly, and anything in between, I have 30 years of a variety of experience caring for dogs, cats, livestock, birds, herps, fish, invertebrates, and small mammals. I have cared for my own menagerie and others' both as a private, in-home pet sitter and in professional settings. I earned a degree in Animal Science in 2013 and have since worked as a Wildlife Biological Technician, Zookeeper, and then laboratory Veterinary Technician, working with anything from owls to hoofstock to primates. I have worked as a private pet sitter for 20 years. Although I have moved out of the animal care profession and into healthcare research, I still get my animal fix with our 4 resident cats, 2 snakes, bearded dragon, leopard gecko, fostering cats and dogs in the local community...and pet sitting! I figured I would finally join Rover to book more pet sitting jobs. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to be able to trust the person taking care of your pets. They are our family! As a zookeeper and pet sitter caring for so many different animals with many different needs, I can follow any care routine you have. Whether it's complicated meal feeding, oral/topical/sub-Q fluids, bathing, walks or other exercise, providing enrichment, multiple potty breaks, positive reinforcement training, or simply lots of cuddles and attention, I assure you your pets will be loved and tended to, and you will have peace of mind with my open communication (and surely lots of cute photos if you love those as much as I do). In Jan-Fed of 2025, I'm available 24/7 for your pet care needs. Starting March 2025 I will be available only mornings and afternoons/evenings during the week before and after normal business hours, and anytime on weekends. Due to our own unique, high-maintenance foster fail cats, I cannot offer dog or cat care in our home. I do offer a safe, comfortable, separate room away from cats if needed for herps or other smaller pets kept in enclosures such as a terrariums or cages. Providing care in your home, I realize I am in your space and your pets' space! This means giving anxious pets time and space to adjust to a new person who isn't their usual human, and being mindful and respectful of each animal's unique personality and needs. I mold to your routine and pets' needs as seamlessly as possible to minimize stress and maximize your peace of mind. Spending time playing, cuddling, walking, feeding, training, or simply patiently allowing your pet to adjust to a guest in their home on their own time, I prioritize general vigilance to your pets' health, as well as compassion and patience to provide the level of care I would want someone to use when taking care of my animals in our home.
“I adopted Lucy (4 year old Great Dane) in June 2025. I was hesitant to ask a Rover to look after such a big dog, but Dustin immediately assured me that he was familiar with large breeds. Our first meet-and-greet went amazingly! She took to him instantly and he went out of his way to make sure she knew she could trust him. I booked him over Thanksgiving and Christmas because I had to travel. I couldn’t be more thankful for him making himself available to help me out. He showed up reliably (despite celebrating his own holidays) and has been accommodating to my chaotic requests. A true saint and dog lover.”

“Very friendly sitter who got two shy cats to interact with her. She also cleaned up after the cats after they kicked litter everywhere and had some hair balls. Would love for her to watch the cats for our next trip!”

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! Even tho I am new to the rover app I’ve been the go to pet sitter for friends and family for about 7 years now . I am constantly around animals and having to commit myself to taking care of them. I am comfortable around all dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your dogs I will dedicate my time to loving them. I would love to be able to take them to the dog park where they can also interact with other animals while you're away! I am available for drop ins or house sittings when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. When in your home, I would love to take your fur babies for walks, to dog parks, anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable! I am mostly available Monday / Thursday after 6 pm , and fully available Friday / Sunday for boarding or drop ins , but could most definitely accommodate different times I currently don’t have any puppy’s of my own . I have a fenced yard for your puppy to play and explore and I also live blocks away from 2 separate parks where we could go on walks

About: I grew up breeding and training Rottys and have been taking care of animals of every kind since then. Training, washing, grooming and walking. I can do it all! Animals of all shapes and sizes are perfect! I work nights so I am available during the day to take care of your pets! I can be up early to take them on walks before the day gets too warm for their delicate paws. While I can't house any animals due to my own pets, I have found that pets always do better meeting someone new in their own enviroment. I spend time with them in the places that they like to lounge which creates a quick bond.

Libbey watched our Murphy girl for a long weekend and she did an amazing job. My kitty instantly loved her from the first meeting and she came over very prepared and eager to make sure all questions pertaining to Murphys care were asked/answered. She sent lots of photos to us per our request as well as detailed notes which is the best when you’re away missing your fur baby. She went above and beyond to make sure Murphy was taken care of. My wife and I highly recommend booking with her!

Hilda was great! She was very responsive and very punctual with our check ins. My cats felt very comfortable and safe with her, and she shared great pictures and updates of the care she took of them. I will absolutely reach out to her again whenever I’m out of town!

Vahid took excellent care of our furry kids while we were away. He communicated with us regularly, took plenty of pictures, and was very respectful of our home. It was such a relief to come home knowing our boys were well taken care of. We will definitely check with him next time we have a need for someone to check in on our kids. Thank you so much!
Emily was an awesome cat sitter for our two week vacation! She was a great communicator, quick to respond, and always kept us updated with lots of photos and videos. It’s always hard leaving our cats for that long, but Emily gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were cared for, loved, and getting plenty of attention while we were away. We’re so grateful we found her. 10/10 would recommend, and we will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!

Aimee was wonderful! She cared for mine and my husband’s two cats while we were away. One of our cats is known for not being so friendly towards strangers, but she took to Aimee right away, which gave me a lot of reassurance. She provided excellent care for our cats and I hope she is available again next time we need a sitter.

We basically never leave our dogs and even take them to work daily so it's hard not to worry. Lorna was amazing with our dogs! She was able to get Ripley and Reagan to eat separately, filled water, picked up poop but most importantly (Gave our dogs LOVE and PETS!) Lorna even sits down on the floor to cuddle and boy did our dogs look happy! We highly recommend Lorna!
