“Christina was great and kept us informed of our home and kitties while we were away. She got better pictures of our cats than we ever have & they were happy & healthy when we returned home. We will definitely be having Christina watch our kitties again!”

“I cannot recommend Roslyn highly enough. This is our third time booking with her, and she's been wonderful every time. She's super communicative, and makes sure we come home to a happy, healthy cat.”

“Sierra was phenomenal with our two cats even going above and beyond when one of them had some digestive issues while we were gone. 100% would trust again with our pets.”

“Christine was very reliable to watch our 2 cats. Both cats became increasingly trusting of her and she sent us great pictures. She was communicative, proactive and we would trust her to take care of our cats again.”

“Emma did a great job taking care of my precious kitties! They warmed right up to her, and it made it so much less stressful for me to be apart from them knowing they were being loved in my absence. It is so nice to be able to find quality caregivers on Rover. Thank you, Emma, for taking such good care of my girls!”

“Kelly has been fantastic with our two dogs. Very professional and flexible to work with our changing schedules. She is always reachable when you have questions and very caring with our dogs. Both our dogs get so excited in the morning when we leave for work and tell them Kelly will be here later to take you for a walk. Would recommend her for whatever your pet needs are without any hesitation!”

“Jennifer takes great care of my Canela. She gives her the best attention. She provides updates on her day with Canela. I know Canela is happy when she is cared for by Jennifer.”

“Erica did a wonderful job checking in on our four cats while we were on vacation. Specifically she was able to get one of the cats to take his medication daily. She responded quickly and left very detailed notes and pictures. She also helped us out on very short notice, which we greatly appreciated. She went above and beyond by grabbing our mail and watering a couple plants too. We look forward to trusting her again with our kitties in the future.”

“Jacquelyn is a wonderful sitter! She took great care of my furball and followed all instructions exactly. She was communicative and kept things easy for those needing someone to trust during their travels out of town! Definitely plan on using her services again.”

About: I’ve had medium sized dogs all my life that I’ve helped take care of, I’m especially familiar with boxers and I’m very fond of bully breeds. I’ve had a cat as of about five years ago that I help out with and I occasionally watch her for extended amounts of time. My last two dogs I had since they were puppies and had to clean up a lot while they were still being trained and I’ve done a lot to support my old dogs as they got older and had problems with mobility and tough foods. I’m a college student who has a lot of free time Thursday through Sunday, I am also capable of getting off campus either before of after my weekday classes. I can offer plenty of attention to your pet and make sure they are well attended to whether they need specific meals or need to be let outside or just want some time to play.
“An amazing sitter! She went above and beyond for us. So thankful for her and being able to drop in last minute for us. I would recommend to anyone. She handled our crazy pups so well.”

About: I would be a great pet sitter because I am responsible, patient, and genuinely care about animals’ well-being. I am also young and energetic, which allows me to easily keep up with active dogs who need plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I pay close attention to routines like feeding, walking, and engagement to make sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. Additionally, I am reliable and communicative, providing regular updates and handling any situation calmly and professionally. I am an aerospace engineering student at the University at Buffalo, with a pretty compact class schedule, so I have a lot of time to care for your animals! During the typical day I am available all through the morning and evening, with a few classes during the day, where I would be unavailable for no more than a few hours. I am a dedicated student who is very responsible and would be a great choice for your pet care! I have always had multiple animals throughout my life, and know just how to care for them! My sister is a vet, who has taught me a lot about animal health and wellness, and is also one phone call away in the event that I need further opinions on a situation. Not only that, but my experience with animals has shown me how to properly care for them, feed them, and entertain them while you are enjoying time away!
“Rachel took such great care of my Loki and my apartment while I was gone. She was so wonderful with him and being able to inject him with the insulin daily. So thankful for her help!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and sometimes cats for 3 years at a few daycares and boarding facilities. I love animals and would love to provide care for them! I’m currently recovering from a leg injury, so for now I’m focusing on caring for small dogs and cats! I love giving them attention, walks, and cuddles. I’ll be ready to work with bigger dogs again very soon once my leg fully heals! I will provide care for pets at clients home by making sure they are fed, medicated if needed and safely crated after I leave. Also, keep the pets safe from anything dangerous.
“Christopher did a wonderful job taking care of our kitties while we were gone. We entrusted him to look after everything and we could not be more satisfied. We will definitely be reaching out to him again next time we go away.”

“Ally did a great job at checking in on our four boys during a long weekend trip! She had no issue administering a twice daily pill for one of our boys and made sure that their boxes were clean and water was abundant the whole time. She followed my extra-thorough instructions well and kept everybody happy in our absence!”

“Ashley is amazing! She checks on our 4 month old puppy everyday. She goes above and beyond what we asked of her. We feel completely comfortable and confident in trusting Ashley with our pup. She takes so many pictures and we know Luna is in the best care and having the time of her life!”
“Jordan was an amazing sitter for our cat Data. She was always on time and doing everything as scheduled with love and care. Data's food bowls, litter box and the whole space around were neat and clean when we arrived. Her reports were very informative and the photos of our baby-boy were fun. Our cat warmed up to her quickly and just wanted more play and pettings while she was with him. He will miss Jordan. We highly recommend her services and will definitely book her again when we travel in the future.”

Erica goes above and beyond in taking care of your pets! Johnny Ramone is a very friendly boy and he just loves Erica’s visits! She made sure Johnny is safe and happy and well fed. He really appreciated the clean litter boxes and the love she gave him. I loved receiving the photos and updates when she visited. Thanks a million, Erica!! We will make sure to utilize your services for every future trip!

Emma is wonderful. She came over a few days before my trip to meet the cats, and she was able to get my skittish guy to accept some pets, which is rare (the other one had no issues with meeting her). She took wonderful care of both of them, and she was super understanding when my flight got delayed and I needed her for an extra morning. Will definitely book again the next time I'm out of town!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Getzville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
