“We had a wonderful experience with our Roslyn. She was kind, responsible, and kept everything very clean and well organized. Our cat is quite shy, but she was patient and attentive and was able to find him and check on him multiple times, which gave us great peace of mind. We really appreciated her care and communication. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.”

“Christine was very reliable to watch our 2 cats. Both cats became increasingly trusting of her and she sent us great pictures. She was communicative, proactive and we would trust her to take care of our cats again.”

“Andrea B was amazing to work with! She took wonderful care of our cat and fixed his dry auto feeder when it clogged (the first day we were gone no less)! So grateful for such a fantastic cat sitter! Thank you!!!”

“Lauren did a fantastic job with the cats. I know because they were acting normally when I got home. Usually, my skittish guy would hide in the cellar for a day to get back to normal but he was perfect. She was very good about giving Callie her medicine too. It was very comforting to get the pics and comments each day. I knew the cats were in good hands.”

About: Hello, I’m Chelsea! I’ve owned pets all my life, and did the main research/training/caretaking for my own dog Clementine when she was a puppy! I love learning about dog training techniques and activities that stimulate the doggie brain, so I’m always looking for ways to keep your pup engaged! I live in Amherst and have a flexible schedule, so let me know when your pet and I can spend some time together! I currently have several daytime slots open during the week. I am very flexible and will try my best to accommodate your needs- plus the needs of your pet! I have a fenced in yard and a playful pup at home. In your home, I’m sure to follow all your instructions to a T and treat your space like my own. I always go at your pet’s pace and match my energy with theirs. WEATHER POLICY: For temperatures below 10 degrees (or wind chill below 10 degrees) or above 100 degrees, I will take your dog out to potty and then return inside with them for the remainder of our time. This keeps me and your dog safe!
“An amazing sitter! She went above and beyond for us. So thankful for her and being able to drop in last minute for us. I would recommend to anyone. She handled our crazy pups so well.”

About: I have had a pet for all 30 years of my life! My love for animals continued to grow and I am fortunate enough to have 3 cats and 1 doggo of my own! I have pet sit for a few senior dogs and love giving them the love and attention they need! If it has paws, I’ll love them for sure! I am currently working part time at a school and have plenty of free time! I am fortunate enough to create my own schedule so I will be able to make plenty of time for your fur baby! I have a fully fenced in yard and one young puppy to keep your fur baby company! I also have three curious cats who will be happy to get a sniff in to say hello! I live in a great neighborhood where everyone walks their dogs!
“Absolutely amazing, Christina was a delight to have. This was our meet and greet to see how my dogs would react and our Leo being a friendly hyper boy who jumps she reacted greatly and she used proper commands/reactions with him. She handled it very well. Honey laid by her as she was calm and patient with her. Honey gave her little potty dance and showed Christina the type of dog she truly is! We will absolutely bring Christina back and we appreciate her and her patience. She was kind and respectful of my feelings/wants for my animals. Thank you again and we can’t wait to see you again!”

About: I started off with two dogs of my own as a teenager. After so many years of joy, they're no longer with me. People are often surprised that I had a hermit crab for 10 years. He died when I went on vacation, so I am very aware of the risks we take entrusting another with the care of a beloved pet. I also have about five years experience caring for a rabbit. I miss them all dearly, but the responsibility was huge as a pet parent. So, now I'm very happy to fill in for others when they're in need. I do have a steady part-time job, which leaves me room to do what I really enjoy- caring for pets! For my first Rover gig, I provided full-time day care for a puppy, but she's all grown up now. Ideally, I would do the whole situation over again with a new puppy because being a Dog Nanny is the best and most rewarding job I have ever had-potty training and all. I prefer to have my eyes on dogs at all times. They won't be outside alone, and will not be unleashed unless we're in a safe, enclosed area. If they have snacks or toys, they'll be supervised just in case.
“Michelle did an absolutely phenomenal job! She was extremely responsive & communicative -- the many photos she sent each visit made it very clear that our babies felt safe and comfortable with her. She followed instructions perfectly and left everything tidy for our return. I couldn't be happier that I've found a forever sitter for my babies! I highly recommend Michelle and rate the overall service with Rover as excellent. Thank you! 😻😻😻”

“Carolyn is amazing! She watched our cat while we were away on vacation. She administered medication every day and made sure to send us fun pics of our cat! She is hands down the best cat sitter on here!”
About: Not only have I worked two years in a doggy daycare setting at The Barking Orange in Syracuse, but I also have extensive house-sitting and dog-walking experience aside. My ultimate favorite thing to do is hike with dogs, whatever the weather! I am comfortable assisting with medical care and visits, and have done training with clients to make care easier in the long run. I am comfortable with many exotic animals as well, having worked at the Buffalo Zoo as an Education Intern for a summer, and having a group of pet rats of my own. I currently have a part-time job that is moderately flexible, so I still have time for drop-in visits walks. I like to build long-term relationships with my clients so that we can find a schedule, routine, or pattern of care that works for us both! In a client's home, I will care for your animals how you most prefer it, whether that is going for walks within the neighborhood or just letting your pet out into your fence, but I am happy to arrange for longer adventures where appropriate. Overnight stays are possible, and in my current home, I have received express permission to keep pets in the house.
“Madison took great care of my two cats for the weekend! She followed instructions, communicated well, and the cats liked her. I would definitely book her again in the future!”

“Claudia was amazing! She looked after our cat Poppy while we were gone and was even so gracious to bring in a couple packages while we were away. So thankful to have found her! Will definitely be booking her any time I need Poppy looked after :)”

“I’m so happy that I found Karen! She did a wonderful job taking care of my two cats. She sent so many photos and really made me feel comfortable leaving them in her care.”

“Mia was amazing with my 3 cats and rabbit when I went on vacation! They have complicated feeding schedules and she had no problem with them. She sent updates with every visit and made me feel comfortable while I was away from home.”

“Jennifer was great! She took a ton of pictures and did a great write up for each visit. She went above and beyond in talking care of things while we were gone! I would definitely recommend💙”

About: I have experience taking care of pets, as I have owned a dog myself. I've worked in animal care most of my career, working for institutions such as The Buffalo Zoo, Hidden Valley Animal Adventure, Pet Supplies Plus, dog kennels, etc. I love being around animals, and intend to do so the rest of my life! I'm currently working as a personal trainer at Catalyst Fitness, so I am needed when clients have training sessions. However, this will never extend for more than a few hours (at most maybe 4-5) at a time. So even if I need to go to a training session(s), I can be right back to take care of the animals afterwards! I can constantly provide your pets with enrichment. Whether that be through walking, playing, or just general outside time. I love nature/the environment, so I love getting outdoors. So if that's what your pets enjoy I can absolutely provide! However, I realize animals have a wide spectrum of emotions and preferences, so I am very flexible to provide whatever is best for your pets!
Amherst cat parents share their Rover experiences
Lauren was an amazing pet sitter for our cat while we were out of town. She was reliable, communicative, and gave us peace of mind knowing he was being well cared for. We received regular updates and photos, which made it so much easier to relax and enjoy our trip. It's clear that Lauren genuinely cares about animals, and our kitty was happy, comfortable, and well looked after when we returned home. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Mia is a wonderful cat sitter. This was the first time our two cats met her, and we were surprised by how quickly they became comfortable with her, since they are usually shy around new people. Mia took great care of them, followed the feeding instructions carefully, and was very patient and gentle with them. She also spent time playing with them and made them feel safe and happy. We really appreciate her care and would highly recommend Mia to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.

Emma is wonderful. She came over a few days before my trip to meet the cats, and she was able to get my skittish guy to accept some pets, which is rare (the other one had no issues with meeting her). She took wonderful care of both of them, and she was super understanding when my flight got delayed and I needed her for an extra morning. Will definitely book again the next time I'm out of town!
