“Dan and his family were excellent dog sitters for our pup who stayed with them for 3 nights. She is 7 months old and this was our first time leaving her with anyone so I was very nervous. We did a meet and greet and Dan and his family made us feel comfortable right away. During her stay, he was very responsive to texts and gave multiple updates about what they did and even sent pics! They have a nice background where our girl was able to run around and play and their house is very spacious and clean. They took her on multiple long walks during her stay and when we picked her up on Sunday and brought her home I could not believe how exhausted she was! She’s a puppy with lots of energy so to see her passed out means she must’ve had a great time getting lots of attention and exercise! I definitely would not hesitate to have Dan dog sit again for us and I’m grateful to know I now have someone that she & I both trust & feel comfortable with. About: I started off with two dogs of my own as a teenager. After so many years of joy, they're no longer with me. People are often surprised that I had a hermit crab for 10 years. He died when I went on vacation, so I am very aware of the risks we take entrusting another with the care of a beloved pet. I also have about five years experience caring for a rabbit. I miss them all dearly, but the responsibility was huge as a pet parent. So, now I'm very happy to fill in for others when they're in need. I do have a steady part-time job, which leaves me room to do what I really enjoy- caring for pets! For my first Rover gig, I provided full-time day care for a puppy, but she's all grown up now. Ideally, I would do the whole situation over again with a new puppy because being a Dog Nanny is the best and most rewarding job I have ever had-potty training and all. I prefer to have my eyes on dogs at all times. They won't be outside alone, and will not be unleashed unless we're in a safe, enclosed area. If they have snacks or toys, they'll be supervised just in case.

About: I have raised two dogs (one large bread and one small bread) both from puppy to 16 & 17yrs old. I have had three cats (one still residing with me). Currently I dog sit two fur babies since 2020. In a week I am losing one of my buddies due to his parents relocating. I am already missing him and am hoping to make some new walking and cuddling partners. I work part time on weekends but can sit with advanced notice. Monday til Wednesday I am available for anytime on shorter notice. When I have your furry sweetheart I do not leave them by themselves at all,so I like to schedule when there is nothing to conflict with the time I have them. When in my house they have no restrictions from me, only what the parent wants. I have an outside bathroom area on leash for quick bathroom trips. I like to go for at least one or two long walks per day, weather permitting and your dogs abilities. I live in a walkable neighborhood and close to parks. About: I have experience taking care of pets, as I have owned a dog myself. I've worked in animal care most of my career, working for institutions such as The Buffalo Zoo, Hidden Valley Animal Adventure, Pet Supplies Plus, dog kennels, etc. I love being around animals, and intend to do so the rest of my life! About: I have aided in training both of our German shorthaired pointers growing up as well as a go-to pet carer and walker when close friends and family are on vacation or cannot get away from the office. I take time out of my day to do this for my current family & friends so I am used to making the pets a priority because that time of their day I get to spend with them is very crucial to their happiness since their owner cannot be there. I take pride in being chosen to be a part of different pets lives and have a vast experience with different breeds (aussies, bulldogs, labs, and cats are just to name a few!) Looking forward to chatting soon!! Pet care fits into my routine pretty frequently. I have an hour of lunch time to myself and use that to be able to let pets out and if the owner requests to stay with them a big longer, I do & finish up some work there if possible. Getting out at 5 p.m. every day is a benefit to the pets I go let out and spend time with because the rest of the night I am free. My availability is Monday-Sunday! I care for the pets with mostly the instructions the owner gives like if they need fed or not etc but I always always always make sure to play with them, give them pets, and make sure they are used to me before anything else. If they have a fenced in yard I will play with them but in other cases when the dog is staying in my house with me, I always give them walks throughout the day as well as bring them to a cages in dog park near my house so they can roam free a bit without the leash.
About: All 3 of my animals I've owned throughout my life have lived full, happy lives. They also, however, required close supervision. Both cats were outdoor cats which required consistent grooming, tick repellant, and even medicine administration for when they ate something they shouldn't have, or developed infections (administering pills to a cat is a skill I'm proud to put on my resume.) My dog Connor developed an autoimmune disease, and required prednisone administration daily. He was also a very reactive dog to other dogs, so those behaviors I am very well-versed in handling. The same can be said for my partner's family's two dogs (black lab mix and white Dogo Argentino), and my sister's pug mix. Dogs are reactive for a reason and I do not judge them for it, I'm happy to accommodate their predispositions. I work completely remote (and to be truthful it's a pretty chill job day to day) so I'd consider myself the best option as someone who has a full time job outside of Rover! Plus, I love the company of pet sitting during the week. I'm of the belief that cats and dogs belong on the couch and the bed, so in my home they are allowed wherever they please. That being said, if you have more strict rules for your animals either inside my home or yours, I completely understand and have no problem carrying out your wishes (obviously.) My care style is attentive. I know that's another obvious answer, but I've always loved interacting with animals, playing with them, etc. It makes me happy.

Depending on your comfortablility I can take your pup on scenic walks / jogs in the neighborhood or nearby parks. My client and aunt has a big dog that is a gentle giant if your dogs ever need some social interaction.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. Then when I was newly married I would watch friends and family's pets while they were away. I really enjoyed giving the pets attention and love like they were my own. I wanted both the owner and pet to not be stressed while away from each other but also have a good time! About: I have worked in the pet care industry since I was around ten years old , in which I started pet sitting for many neighbors and relatives. Absolutely love animals and would love to continue working with them. I'm very comfortable with all types of animals, as I have owned pets my entire life including large dogs, cats, and rodents, I also feel comfortable with all types of reptiles even though I have not personally owned them. About: I started off with two dogs of my own as a teenager. After so many years of joy, they're no longer with me. People are often surprised that I had a hermit crab for 10 years. He died when I went on vacation, so I am very aware of the risks we take entrusting another with the care of a beloved pet. I also have about five years experience caring for a rabbit. I miss them all dearly, but the responsibility was huge as a pet parent. So, now I'm very happy to fill in for others when they're in need. I do have a steady part-time job, which leaves me room to do what I really enjoy- caring for pets! For my first Rover gig, I provided full-time day care for a puppy, but she's all grown up now. Ideally, I would do the whole situation over again with a new puppy because being a Dog Nanny is the best and most rewarding job I have ever had-potty training and all. I prefer to have my eyes on dogs at all times. They won't be outside alone, and will not be unleashed unless we're in a safe, enclosed area. If they have snacks or toys, they'll be supervised just in case.

They welcomed our rambunctious puppy into their home with open arms, making us feel confident that he would be well taken care of. He had some tummy troubles going on when we had to leave and they were so understanding, telling us not to worry. He made a mess in his crate one night because of this and they were so understanding, not bothered at all. They cooked up his brat diet (ground beef and rice) for several days until his stomach was working better. Leo came back to us healthy and happy.
