“Meaghan was absolutely amazing with our kitties! We have a spicy gal who doesn't tolerate strangers well, and she waltzed right up to Meaghan and rubbed on her! Meaghan is the cat whisperer, and takes great photos! Would highly recommend!”

“Christine was very reliable to watch our 2 cats. Both cats became increasingly trusting of her and she sent us great pictures. She was communicative, proactive and we would trust her to take care of our cats again.”

“Jen provided drop-in visits and daily walks with my German Shepherd while I was out of town. He can be a little intimidating with his barking when someone new is on his property, but Jen was unfazed and just took her time meeting him. He immediately warmed up to her and they did great together. Besides exercise and feeding/watering, Jen administered eye drops and pills every day, lots of belly rubs and play time. She was punctual, trustworthy, and provided updates on all the things a pet parent needs to know, to be sure their pet is getting high quality care. Highly recommended!”

“Kelsey has been a great sitter..And I look forward to using Her services this Year..On time, and replies to text messages..I recommended Kelsey to a neighbor Great job ! Thankyou”
About: Having recently graduated from undergrad, I’ve spent the past few years pet sitting for friends and family whenever they’ve gone on vacation. I have two cats of my own and grew up with pets at all times. Whether it’s boarding, drop-in visits, or dog walking, I aim to provide a safe, attentive, and comfortable experience for both pets and their owners. I recently graduated from undergrad and am currently working part-time while job searching, so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! My work schedule varies from week to week, but I receive it two weeks in advance and can plan accordingly. Feel free to reach out, I’d be happy to chat more. :) I offer boarding, drop-in visits, and dog walking with a strong focus on safety, trust, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for. Every animal is different, and I love getting to know their personalities. Whether your dog is high-energy and ready for a long walk or prefers a slower pace and extra time relaxing inside, I’m happy to match their vibe. I also really value communication. The more I know about your pet ahead of time, the better I can show up prepared and make the experience smooth and stress-free for both of you. At home, I keep a clean, calm, and pet-friendly space so pets can settle in easily. In your home, I’m respectful of your space while making sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well taken care of. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind and make your pet feel like they’re in good hands.
“Christopher took amazing care of our kitties while we were out of town. He also kept an eye on everything in general, and we will continue to book him as long as he is able!”

About: Growing up around dogs of all sizes and ages, dogs with disorders such as anxiety or epilepsy, and dogs that just love to eat any and everything, I've learned how to handle almost any tough situation. I also have pervious experience working as a cashier at a pet store. I am a full-time student with a part time job. The good news? Most of my afternoons are available to be spent with your furry friends! I will spend a good portion of the time playing with your furry friends and helping them get all their wiggles out! If you have a fenced in yard we'll probably spend a lot of time outside (weather permitting!). I will of course ensure your friends have plenty of water, are fed on schedule, and take any medications they need.
“Rachel was very kind and attentive to my dog & I felt very comfortable having her check-in on him from the first day they met. She was always been very prompt and reliable.”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life, and I pride myself on providing the extra patience and attention that medically fragile or aging pets require. My family dog Zack has been my best friend for 16 years, and requires senior care such as medication, assistance up stairs, and hand-feeding. My cat, Cheese Puff, recently had surgery and required a full month of intensive post-op recovery including liquid and oral medications, topical creams, and 24/7 supervision. I believe the comfort we provide our pets is a small thank-you for the joy they bring into our lives every single day, and I am honored to provide them with the high level of care and attention they truly deserve. I’m a full-time remote worker, which means I offer 24/7 peace of mind. I have the flexibility to accommodate specific feeding windows, potty times, and plenty of mid-day snuggles. Your pet will be my co-worker for the weekday or buddy on the weekend! I maintain a calm, fully pet-proofed apartment where your pet's safety and comfort come first. I’ve eliminated common household dangers to create a secure space for play and relaxation. My cat, Cheese Puff, is very friendly with others.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and sometimes cats for 3 years at a few daycares and boarding facilities. I love animals and would love to provide care for them! I’m currently recovering from a leg injury, so for now I’m focusing on caring for small dogs and cats! I love giving them attention, walks, and cuddles. I’ll be ready to work with bigger dogs again very soon once my leg fully heals! I will provide care for pets at clients home by making sure they are fed, medicated if needed and safely crated after I leave. Also, keep the pets safe from anything dangerous.
About: Welcome to my profile! For the past six years, I have studied and worked in Brooklyn, and I have delighted in walking and sitting dogs through Rover in each neighborhood I have lived in. Since moving away from home and having to leave the dogs I grew up with behind I love finding opportunities to spend time with animals and build trust and communication with them. My experience includes volunteering for animal rescues in DC and in Peru, sitting professionally for clients, and for friends, family, and neighbors, and working with positive reinforcement trainers for my family's dogs back home, who are reactive. I enjoy going on long walks, hikes, runs, and exploring the city, so if your dog is high energy, a puppy, or just needs a lot of stimulation and exercise, we would be a great fit! I also have experience watching older dogs or lower-energy breeds who simply need a calm place to stay. I can accommodate most schedules and reasonable requests, feel free to message if you have any questions and tell me more about your pup! One bonus - my apartment has an elevator and primate balcony with a potty area, so frequent potty breaks can be accommodated. Open to pickup and drop off, and last minute requests. I work at a lab 3 days a week, though I might have to go in on my off days to complete various tasks. Weekday sits work best for my schedule. My apartment is pretty dog-proofed. I make sure not to leave out anything toxic to dogs (gum, chocolate, etc...) and to put away anything I would not want to get destroyed. I am open to continuing any training you might have with your dog, such as sitting and waiting before a meal or ignoring other dogs on a walk.
“Breauna is so sweet. We trust her in our home and our dogs love her. She always messages me with questions and pictures of the dogs. She is flexible and meets all our needs for drop in visits.”

“She was very good very thorough very loving to my dog sent me pictures just it gave me such peace of mind she was outstanding without question I will use her again and again and I don’t trust my dad to anybody”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wendelville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
