She kept me updated through the Rover card afterwards with a detailed note and took plenty of cute pictures. She's my go to for pet care needs! Strongly recommend to anyone in the area looking for someone to love your fur babies as much as you do!”

About: Hello! My name is Marissa. I have had a dog in my family all my life. In fact, when I was a transfer I took up dog obedience and agility training with my family dog. I have taken care of all types of dogs including seniors as well as puppies. I also volunteer at the animal shelter and there I deal with all types of dogs from various backgrounds so I have experience with behaviorally challenged dogs as well. I have also taken care of cats and some have grown very attached to me. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out! During the summer I have very open availability and I am free most weekends and during the week all day. Since I work as a teacher, during the school year I am only available before and after work as well as on the weekends. I am very respectable of others property while still giving the animals personalized attention. I make sure to spend as much time as possible with them. I work with them and have learned to be very patient with other cautious animals.
About: I have been taking care of dogs for 10 years, whether mine or those belonging to family. I have trained puppies as well as taken care of my dogs that have reached their golden years, and helped them over the rainbow bridge. My top two priorities are communication and safety. Any need you have regarding your pet is of utmost importance because pets aren’t just animals - they’re family! I have two dogs at home, one is 1 1/2 years old and the other is nearly 4. We walk 3 times daily, as well as plenty of enrichment time inside. Enrichment depends on the day, it can be playing with toys, eating treats from snuffle mats, lick mats, or just running around with them until they’re as tired as I am! Safety is my biggest priority. I follow instructions very carefully, I keep a close eye on your fur babies both in the house and outside. I can send real time updates that way you know exactly what is going on at all times, and I will always make sure to ask questions when needed. I can recreate your pets routine as closely as possible, and I will always bring positive energy!
“I truly appreciate the excellent service I received. She was very attentive and made me feel like she genuinely cared about my dog. I especially appreciate her accepting my request last minute and still providing such great service. I will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to my friends.”

“Our dogs absolutely loved their time with Anne. You can tell that she's a true dog lover and cares about them as if they were her own. We plan on using her on a weekly basis -- she is that good.”

About: I have experience caring for large dogs and have had three rescue Labrador retrievers as an adult. I have also had experience as a dog foster working with local shelters. As a recent retiree, I am spending my time between volunteering with my daughter's school and the local humane society, leaving plenty of time to spend with your fur babies. I have a fenced yard and a friendly 7 year-old black Labrador. We have two crates if any of the pups need to be crated. If in your home, I will follow instructions provided to insure that your pup receives the proper care.

About: Dogs show us the true meaning of actions speak louder than words. They love so hard without even telling us, but showing us every day. Before 4 I have open availability M-F so I can go spend all the time I can with everyone. We can go on walks, go find new adventures. With time management and care. They are like children, then need a set schedule. I would love to make schedules for everyone so that they are calm and collected.
About: I've had dogs ever since I've been born. Currently, I have four dogs back at home and at my apartment, I have a puppy named Wentz, who is two years old as of March. I've dog sat for all of my neighbors and I love dogs. I'll love yours! I'm in college and I have a lot of online classes so I am available throughout the day pretty frequently, especially Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have one class on those days and then two on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday. Very skilled with puppies, currently have one of my own, and my family has had two litters of puppies so consider me built in and equipped to deal with anything your fur baby will throw at me. Thanks for considering me!

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and have loved them for as long as I can remember, so caring for animals is second nature to me. In fact, I’m the proud owner of a sweet 4-year-old Golden Retriever, so I fully understand the daily dedication, love, and attention that dogs need to thrive! For over a decade, neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to check in, feed, walk, and play with their pets. I treat every animal with the same high level of care and patience that I give my own pup, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I have excellent availability throughout the week for drop-ins, walks, and playtime, ensuring your pet gets consistent attention and care right when they need it. Having grown up around dogs and raising my own pup, I know exactly how to maintain a safe, low-stress environment. I treat every home with the utmost respect and ensure all environments are secure before playtime. You can always count on receiving frequent communication, photo updates, and careful attention to your pet's specific safety needs. I truly appreciate the excellent service I received. She was very attentive and made me feel like she genuinely cared about my dog. I especially appreciate her accepting my request last minute and still providing such great service. I will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to my friends.

Cheyenne is an absolute pro! She replied promptly to my dog walking request and was able to quickly set up a meet & greet. She was very patient with my dog, who had never had a “stranger” as a dog walker/sitter and was able to successfully walk him on their first one-on-one despite his anxiety. She kept me up to date on her arrival times and almost immediately sent my dog’s report card out after his walks. After only a couple of days, my dog really warmed up to her, wanting her to stay and play. I’m glad I was able to find someone who’s obviously great with animals but is also trustworthy and professional!

Erin came through for us in a pinch! We felt very relieved knowing she was there to get our Niko through the day without us home. She even came into an unfortunate garbage bin excavation that had been tracked across the floor with a guilty Niko suspiciously at the scene of the crime (lesson learned) and Erin went out of her way to clean up the mess. She was very proactive in communications and provided all the details of his care. Will definitely be booking again and highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
