Because I run an active home kitchen, I provide care exclusively in your pet's familiar, comfortable home environment. About: My family and I have fostered cats and dogs and provided hospice care for a dog with cancer (1 year) until she passed. I understand all breeds and their unique energy needs and activity levels. Medical care and aging limitations would be understood and can be tended to with your pet care needs. I work full time M, T, Th, F, Sa 8am until the deliveries are complete (can range from 2pm to 6pm). When I am not home, there are other family members present (spouse works, dad is retired). In the afternoon and evenings, my children will be attentive to any animals kept at my home. I enjoy connecting with all animals. Our weekends are more hectic with soccer season in full swing. Some weekends we may be elsewhere in Virginia with limited care depending on the weekend, April through June. We have a small fenced in yard with the ability to take your pet out for long, short, or frequent walks. My kids would provide any extra loving and attention while your pet is in my care. I kept a friend's cat for a week. When that week was up, her cat didn't want to leave. Whenever I visit them, the cat finds me to snuggle while I am around. Animals can sense the love and kindness within our family.

About: I've been caring for dogs in one form or another since I was a young child. I've experience with rambunctious puppies and incontinent senior dogs. I've also experience with house-training puppies and working with high-energy adult dogs still in training. I believe that consistency and love are integral to keeping dogs of all ages happy and healthy. My experiences with my own dog, a very spirited border collie mix, have been proof of concept. Dogs need stimulation and I am happy to play, go on long walks and trips to the dog park to make sure that your dog gets the attention and energy outlet they need! I have open availability during weekdays and weekend mornings. I can begin as early as 7 am and continue until 8 pm. Special accommodation can also be negotiated if needed. I prefer to care for pets in the client's home, as my own home is full of cats and a pair of rambunctious dogs. I will follow all instructions given by the client regarding needs in the home and will walk the surrounding neighborhood if possible. If the neighborhood is not suitable (heavy traffic, lack of sidewalks) and if permission is given I can take dogs to walking paths in Fredricksburg or dog parks to ensure they have sufficient enrichment.
