“Jessica is very sweet and took the time to let our dog warm up to her. She took great care of our pup and kept us updated on the walk from when she got there until the end. We would definitely use her again for the future!”

About: I have extensive experience with a variety of dog breeds, young and mature. I am thrilled to care for the smallest and the largest animals. I have flexible hours and am willing to meet your and your pet's needs. I am also available to support your short or pop-up requests. In your home, I will provide attentive care to ensure your pet or pets are happy, healthy, and secure. I will send videos, and I am available if you want to FaceTime with your pet.
About: I have had dogs since I was 8 years old. I’ve always had a natural love for animals and walking. I often take long walks by myself. I have worked with senior dogs and puppies and every experience has been a blessing. I just graduated college and have come back home for the summer. I am free most days, except Sundays. I am excited for the opportunity to meet new friends and pets! I have two goldendoodles at home and provide the daily care for them. They get walked twice a day and play in the backyard. I believe in a hands off approach where I let the dog approach me and do their own thing. I never try to force myself into their space.
About: I have been taking care of dogs for 10 years, whether mine or those belonging to family. I have trained puppies as well as taken care of my dogs that have reached their golden years, and helped them over the rainbow bridge. My top two priorities are communication and safety. Any need you have regarding your pet is of utmost importance because pets aren’t just animals - they’re family! I have two dogs at home, one is 1 1/2 years old and the other is nearly 4. We walk 3 times daily, as well as plenty of enrichment time inside. Enrichment depends on the day, it can be playing with toys, eating treats from snuffle mats, lick mats, or just running around with them until they’re as tired as I am! Safety is my biggest priority. I follow instructions very carefully, I keep a close eye on your fur babies both in the house and outside. I can send real time updates that way you know exactly what is going on at all times, and I will always make sure to ask questions when needed. I can recreate your pets routine as closely as possible, and I will always bring positive energy!
“Lindsey is absolutely INCREDIBLE! The love and care she shows for my pup is unmatched. She goes above and beyond to work with my schedule and is truly such a kind person. If you’re looking for someone to look after your pup in any way. No hesitation. It HAS to be Lindsey. You will not regret it!!!”

About: My name is Michelle. I’ve been dog sitting/walking for family/friends for around 11 years and have loved it. I have my own Bassett Hound named Cooper and he’s such a love-bug! I also have two cats Lester and Cici. I absolutely love animals and always treat them as if they’re my own. I tend to always feel really close to pets after I watch them, so feel free to ask me for help again! I’m so excited to meet and play with so many wonderful fur babies. If you have any questions, please message me.
About: I have over 15 years of pet care experience, including caring for my own pets and petsitting for friends and family. I’ve looked after dogs and cats of all ages and personalities, and I truly love spending time with animals. I have three cats of my own and have experience administering various types of medication, including oral meds and topical treatments. I also regularly care for several community cats, so I’m comfortable working with shy, independent, and less social animals. Whether your pet is playful, anxious, energetic, or aloof, I’ll provide thoughtful, loving care that meets their unique needs. I currently offer drop-in visits and walks Friday through Sunday in the Fredericksburg, VA area, with flexible availability throughout each day. Whether you need a quick walk or some weekend companionship for your pet, I’m happy to help make your time away stress-free! My heart has always belonged to animals. I own three cats and grew up with dogs, and I have loved them all. Am willing to play, scratch behind ears, match enthusiasm, or be ignored, all for the love of pets.
“Paige took great care and did very well with Eli on his walks, she even made sure he was content with a nice treat at the end. I would highly recommend Paige and will definitely be utilizing her services again.”

“Holly was fantastic! She took great care of my puppy and made sure she got water before and after walks. She provides details about the visit afterwards so I always know how the walk went”

About: I have a nice size house with a fenced in back yard for your dog to have fun running and playing around. Your dog will feel loved and treated as if he/she was having a pampered vacation. Our furry visitors love feeling cozy inside my home. I have always had one or more pets in the home and can guarantee a safe loving environment for your pet. My house is spacious, warm on cozy in the winter and nice and cool in the summer. I take care of only one customer at a time, meaning your dog will have exclusive attention and pampering. Plus I bake homemade organic dog cookies for them as a bonus for them to enjoy their stay. About this sitter: I have had dogs since a child and love them very much like my own child. Couldn't live without having a pet and caring for them, they are a blessing and great joy in our lives. I want to continue to donate to ASPC in Fredericksburg and Pekingese homeless pets in Richmond in need so they too can have the love and care they long for and I want to be apart of that so I can help all of Gods creation and show them love and care for the ones that I get to have the pleasure to sit in our home and give back in return to the ones in need. Every little that we sprinkle in someones lives is a gift that God gives us to spread the love. Why I love dog sitting since I was a child caring for dogs at 5 yrs old. About my yard We have a back yard and it is fenced in with plenty of running space and very private so the dogs can play and not bother the neighbors My experience administering medication Yes I have done it in the past to my dogs that needed medical attention I am currently working from home and will always be attentive to your babies which they will always have attention. The potty breaks will be every 2 hours or less if needed. My yard is fenced and I have cameras around also your babies will never be left unattended since I have a little one that I’m always going outside with him and playing with him so your baby will receive the same love and attention.
About: I’ve taken care of pets through my childhood, and now as an adult I have three dogs (one of which is a service dog) and a bunny we spoil daily. I also have experience with senior dogs who need a little extra help doing basic tasks. I’ve seen first hand how hard it is to find quality pet care who show up when they say they will, and spend time with the animals. I’m hoping to alleviate that stress for you and your family! I’m currently a stay at home mom, with ability to care for your pets throughout the day and evening. I am available during the week, weekends, and most holidays I have taken courses on proper leash care, and dog handling. I have a fenced in yard, and safety gates to prevent dogs from going out any home door. I also respect all clients requests on how to take care of their fur babies

“Allie came by to meet our pup before taking care of him, which we really appreciated! She spent extra time with Teddy and made sure he was walked and fed. Will definitely be using her again!”

About: I have had about 9 years of dog care with one big pup and one little. When I was very young my sister and I started a dog walking company throughout our neighborhood, so I guess you could say I have always loved being around dogs/animals. Throughout the years we have had all different types of animals from Nigerian Uromastyx Lizards to kitties/dogs and hamsters. I think that animals are very special because they stick with you through thick and thin. There is no better type of love than the love of an animal. Since we have had many animals throughout my life, I automatically know what to do if a certain situation arises (accidents, etc.). The little things are whats most important to me when I am with my animals. Hanging out, watching tv, or just simply being in their presence is enough for me. My family and I love animals and they all hold a special place in our hearts as I’m sure they do for you too!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
