About: Hi! I’m Stuss — a firefighter/paramedic and lifelong dog person based near Keystone/Dillon. Outside of work I volunteer at the Frisco Animal Shelter and with Summit Lost Pet Rescue, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of dogs: puppies, seniors, shy dogs, reactive dogs etc. I’ve also owned two dogs through their whole lives, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your best friend with someone else. My setup is simple: I only take one dog at a time (or two from the same household). That means your dog gets my full attention, a calm environment, and care that’s tailored to their routine — not a busy “pack” situation. I donate 20% of my earnings on Rover to the local animal shelter/rescue work I support. My work schedule is 48 hour shifts, and then I have a block of 4 days off. Some of those days I go on adventures, and some of those days I chill around the house. Those "rest days" are when I open my calendar up for dog sitting, so, your dog(s) will have my company all day while I'm at home doing chores, relaxing, and getting outside. I love to hike year round and I will take your dog with me, if they're up for it. I always match the day to your dog. Energetic dogs can join for longer walks/hikes, and seniors can take it slow with short strolls and extra couch time. I live in a ground-floor condo at the end of a quiet street with trails and open space nearby. With your permission, I also drive a few minutes to local trailheads for variety, and I kind of specialize in knowing quiet places to hike without the crowds. I live alone in a quiet, uncluttered home — great for dogs who do best in a calm space. Dogs are welcome on the couch and bed (unless you prefer otherwise). I stick closely to your dog’s normal routine: meals, meds, potty schedule, exercise, and any special instructions.
“Brooke took such good care of Milo on a last minute notice! She is super responsive and we were able to work out scheduling smoothly. Milo had a great time with her!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I felt anxious about it. When I picked up my black lab Benny at the end of a three day trip, he looked happy and was affectionate towards Ben. I got pictures all weekend from Ben and his girlfriend Mel, I’ve been running on trails and getting lots of time outside. They were both extremely kind, Thoughtful, and professional. I felt at ease and I will for sure use Ben again.”

“Elise and Matthew took such great care of our dog while we were away. It’s so comforting to have kind, reliable, trustworthy people to rely on for our dog when we are gone. Thank you both!”
“I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had with Tia and her family. First experience with Rover - and it was great. Our Rocky became a member of the family- took hikes - snuggled at night and when i picked him up - i could see he was well-loved. Thank you Tia!!”

“We needed a sitter last minute and Alec was very responsive and accommodating to our schedule. He took great care of our dog Dre who had an upset stomach during his stay with Alec. Would have Alec sit again.”

“Nick has been my go to sitter for my 2 pups for almost 2 years now! He always is super flexible with dates and drop off times and last minute boarding requests. His friend Gabe has also been so amazing with the pups as well. He’s brought my dogs along with him on camping trips and outings and I can tell they have so much fun by their reaction when we pull onto his property. I have not used another sitter since I found Nick. The dogs adore staying with him and I love the flexibility Nick has with boarding/daycare and how tired my dogs are once I pick them up from running around the farm all day!”

“Kyle was a great host to Zuma during our time away. He was very responsive, communicative, and reliable. Most importantly, Zuma seemed very happy when we picked him up. We will look forward to trusting Kyle with Zuma again!”

“Amy was great to work with! She gave Dixie a lot of love and attention with lots of updates! You can tell she loves dogs and is attentive to details. Would definitely recommend and would leave my girl with her anytime!”

“My dog seemed to really love her stay with Lauren. I think she was sad to leave when I picked her up! Lauren was very easy to work with. Highly responsive and thorough. I would be happy to leave my dog with her again in the future and I would recommend Lauren to others. ”
“Coral did a great job watching my pup Phoebe! She was great with communicating and sending updates, and seemed like Phoebe had an awesome time! Will definitely reach out again 🙏”

“Allison and John were great with our high-energy rescue pup! She became fast friends with their dog and really enjoyed running around the yard. We also loved the photos and updates we got during her stay!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Fraser
Chris was so great with Pickles! He took the time to meet up with us before confirming the visit to ensure our dogs got along well (they got along great!). He took Pickles on long trail walks and sent great photos and updates. As someone who gets anxious leaving my dog, it was a relief to know he was having fun and well taken care of.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
