About: I have owned dogs for as long as I can remember and currently have 5 dogs and 1 cat I care for. I also have experience working as a kennel tech for 2.5 years and still currently employed where I do things like Feed, medicate, walk, bathe, vaccinate, and other services clients may ask for. I take care of 5 dogs and 1 cat at home and at work I care for plenty more dogs and cats. I am constantly running around making sure they are fed, medicated, and fully updated with additional services clients request. With my job in an animal hospital I am experienced in seeing changes in dog’s body language and knowing how best to care for them for the current situation. About: I grew up fostering cats with my mom, and volunteering at the shelter a lot. I use to cry when I couldn’t take some of the dogs home or when one of the cats we were fostering found a home lol! I’ve always had a big heart for animals. I’m a school teacher with lots of holidays off! This makes me great for people that travel for the holidays, need weekend care, or even just early morning or afternoons during the week! I have a fenced yard for dogs that stay in my home. If the dog needs to be separate from my dog then I have my second floor for my dog, and bottom floor for the dog visiting. When im at the clients house I do my best to make the animal feel as loved as possible, I know it can be confusing and sad for them when their owner is gone but I want to make it a enjoyable trip!

Our dog is a spirited, old chiweenie and is petrified of us leaving her so she’s very difficult. Meredith has so much empathy and compassion that our dog warmed up to her quickly. Meredith took the time to cut up treats and hide them in Punky’s treat mat. She sat with punky and comforted her when we left. Punky is very happy and content. It is as if we never left her!!! We are amazed at the quality of Meredith’s character and the care she gave our dog. She sent pics and kept us posted. She is a true dog’s best friend and now ours! Thank you, Meredith. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was about 12 years old. It started with family members who went on vacation, than neighbors and friends as well! I have been relied on to walk, feed, and bathe their pets. I currently work for myself and make my own schedule. About: I recently moved back to Florida to care for my elderly grandmother for a while. I am a registered nurse with experience in Emergency medicine, Labor and Delivery, Med-Surg and a few other skills sprinkled in. So, why on earth would an RN want to watch animals? Simple; I love them and I have a lot of extra time on my hands. I have had pets my whole life and I farmed for over 10 years raising animals. I have never been without a dog and a cat. Currently, my grandmother has a senior companion service dog who was trained for 2 years before she got him. He is a very low energy lap dog for the most part, but loves fur friends. I have one of my own fur babies with me who is 1 year old and a very well behaved service-animal-level dog especially for a puppy, but will run and play till she drops! Care available in your own home or mine. I am no stranger to medical treatments for animals and medications. I can handle all of that if need be at an additional cost. I have treated many living things (not only as a nurse of course), but the farm life has shown me a wide variety of animal care. I do have some weight limits for dogs due to the fact that I need to be very careful about any large dogs around the elderly. It only takes a wiggly butt to bump into someone the wrong way... so for right now; the smaller the better. I am willing to walk them, but we do have a fenced yard on the lake. And I take to dogs to get the mail in the golf cart (dog hauler)! (in doggy car seats of course) I work from home, so it's pretty easy. The only time I am not available is when I travel back home. If I leave for errands, I am normally not gone for more than a few hours on the bigger errand days. I have a fenced yard on the lake. We are in a gated community with plenty of walking room. My two there dogs are bell-trained to go out. We go for rides in the golf cart (it is really just an oversized person and pet-hauler). I can crate them and would prefer that so they can have their "space" or "den" to retreat to with their blanket or dog pillow/bed with all the smells of home. I will do medications and treatments if needed (ie; leg wraps, ear wash, etc). I will bathe them as outlined in services. I will clip nails but ONLY if that is something they are accustomed to as I have first hand experience with breeds that cannot tolerate it.
