About: I’ve taken care of dogs of any kind since i was around 13. I love them unconditionally, they bring happiness to everyone. I have my own dogs, bigger breeds, and occasionally dogsit for my sister when she’s out of town! this is my full time! so i have plenty of time to make it everywhere i need to be! i make this my top priority day in and day out! my dogs are free roam in the house, trained and well behaved. my cat is also free roam and is well behaved, and likes almost everyone! if your animals are crate trained, that’s fine! your house your rules! i always stick to what the owners prefer, like, etc. for their animal. i never go the route of sticking to my own rules, it’s not my animal, the owner knows best!

About: I have loved caring for animals since I was a child. Walking and feeding our German Shepherd was my favorite part of the day. We also had a Chow and one feline. Training Rocky the rottweiler to remain calm while bunnies passed through the yard is my biggest accomplishment, thus far. I love working with animals and their energy. On Thursday morning I teach guided Meditation but make my own schedule other than that. I'm up early to watch the sun rise and greet all the neighbors and pups. Animals prefer and are most comfortable being in their own environment with the scent of loved ones surrounding them. I respect their boundaries and connect with their energy softly and respectfully.

Mike was wonderful with our senior dog Brody, who is 13 but has the energy of a young puppy. He spent time getting to know Brody and play with him. It’s hard to find someone that I trust with our dog and I’m happy I found Mike. We’ll definitely be using Mike again in the future and I know Brody will be thrilled!

OMG There are not enough Great words out to describe how incredibly awesome Barry is. My 12 year old boxer Dakota has over the last 6 months has developed a brain tumor and now has seizures. Over the last 2 weeks the seizures had gotten pretty bad and the vet and I were trying to get his meds corrected but during this time I won’t leave him alone for his safety, especially because this time he was loosing his vision afterwards for a few hours. So when I had to go to the airport to pick up my father and my friend that normally helps me out was unable to this time I only had 2 days to to find someone who I could trust with my baby in 2 days. After looking at about 50 or so different profiles on Rover and other sites I found BARRY. I soon as I read Barry’s profile I knew he would be perfect and as soon as he walked in the front of the front door Dakota walked up to him and gave him a kiss and wagged his little stump!! Let me tell you I cried, because with how sick he had been that was one of the first signs that MY DAKOTA was coming back and from that moment on I will forever have Barry as my Dog whisperer for any and all dogs I have. Thank you Barry you truly are the best!!!!!

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and have family that has all different kinds of pets! Dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, you name it! I’ve always loved animals and taking care of them. I just graduated high school at Mariner High School with Bright Futures and will be attending FAU in August! I’m currently working as a Food Runner at Slipaway in Cape Coral. About: I have been dog sitting all of my adult life, a variety of ages. Most of my experience is with senior dogs, my family dog included (16 year old cocker spaniel). I have taken dog body language courses at my local shelter to help me be more aware of how dog communicate with people and other dogs. This knowledge allows me to keep your dog safe and comfortable. High need dogs are always welcome and if your note to your dog watcher is a booklet I'm your girl! The more I know about your dog the better care I can provide so information is always welcome! My job is to provide care, keep your dog on their schedule and maintain the training you worked hard to provide your dog with. Looking forward to helping care for your furry family! I am a RN so my schedule is flexible, as long as i have a few days notice I can work with your schedule and we can figure out a plan for your pet! When providing care to your pet I will be present and active with them. I usually provide update pictures so you know they are doing okay and to provide peace of mind. Any specific care instructions provided i will be happy to follow, you need me to sit with them while they eat no problem! I have to sing them a so g before I put their food down, Im happy to! No ask is too much!

About: I have had animals specifically dogs, my whole entire life. I’ve had Golden retrievers, boxers, and I currently have an Australian Shepherd that is three years old. I’ve had many years of experience going to peoples homes and pet sitting both dogs and cats. I’m safe, reliable and very attentive and I will make sure that your animals are in the best hands. I will care for you pets as they were my very own. I currently work full time and have the ability to work from home so that I can always be around your animals and let them out as frequently as needed. I have a fenced in backyard where I love to throw a ball to get all of that energy out. I normally take dogs out for walks as well. If I’m house sitting at someone’s house, I stay the night and do as requested. Normally, my clients write down a list of whatever they want/need me to do and I follow it. I’m very flexible and want to keep your pet safe in a stress free environment.

About: Hi, I’m Angel! a veteran, full-time student, and father with a genuine love for all animals! I offer and drop-in visits/walks, so whether your pet needs a relaxing walk or just a midday check-in, I’ve got you covered. I’ve been around animals my whole life, from dogs, cats, and kittens to turtles and bearded dragons. I’ve owned three dogs over the years and regularly handle medication for my own bulldog, Boulder, so I’m comfortable with hands-on care. I’m only in class two days a week, so I keep a flexible schedule, this way I have plenty of time to give your loved one real attention rather than a rushed visit. In my own home, pets have the run of the place, couch included, I’m only in class two days a week, from 8 AM to 1 PM, so outside of those hours I’m pretty much wide open. As a student with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to give pets real attention rather than a rushed visit! For house sitting or drop-in visits, I will accurately stick to any instructions given, following feeding times, walk schedules, and any specific instructions to keep things familiar and low-stress. Pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and a calm, safe environment throughout our time together. Safety always comes first: I keep a close eye on pets at all times and treat every pet like my own. I’m also always happy to schedule a meet and greet before booking, so you and your fur baby can feel comfortable with me.

About: I’ve loved cats and dogs my whole life, caring for pets since I was a child. For the past two years I’ve worked as a vet tech, combining that lifelong passion with hands-on medical care, and support for pets and their owners. My experience blends deep affection for animals with practical skills in their health and well‑being. I usually work at a vet clinic from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a lunch break at 12:00 PM. During my shift I check on the animals, feed and water them, and let them out. After work, I get home, the animals are free for the rest of the night. I prioritize maintaining the specific rhythm and comfort they’re used to at your home. I strictly follow your feeding schedules and medical routines, ensuring they have a dedicated, cozy space to retreat to whenever they need a nap. For dogs, this means plenty of structured walks and backyard playtime, while for cats, I provide vertical perches and dedicated one-on-one enrichment to satisfy their curiosity. Above all, I keep a close eye on their body language to ensure they feel secure and loved, and I’ll send you regular photo updates so you can see exactly how much fun and relaxation they’re having while you're away.

About: I have been dog sitting for 8 years. I have experience with a lot of dog breeds. I prefer to stay at the owners home when dog sitting to make the dog feel more comfortable in their own environment. I will treat your dog as if they were my own! I am currently available full time! Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine as I have a dog myself. Each day includes feeding, fresh water, and some one-on-one time like walks, play, or training. Taking care of your dog in your home would consist of me following their routine. The dog being in their own home makes them feel more comfortable and relaxed.

  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
