“Kristian did a beautiful job visiting my kitties. She texted questions if she had some and supplied numerous photos so i knew how all the pets were doing while i was away. Highly recommend!”
“We hired Channing to watch our two kitties for a week while we were away. She stopped by for every visit right on schedule and sent adorable photos with a report every time. She eased our worry and took great care of our animals. I would HIGHLY recommend hiring Channing for your next Rover watch! 😊”

About: I've always had a dog ever since I was born. I've had a Pit bull, Dachshund, Golden Retriever, as well as a Great Dane. My family and neighbors would always have me take care of their pets while they went away. I'm currently working part-time and playing softball in the evenings 2 days a week. I'm available Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8am - 9pm. In my home I have a Great Dane and a cat. I make sure they have everything they may need before I go to work and they are cared and loved for. making sure they get extra snuggles play time and fun treats.
“Thank you, thank you thank you for everything and taking such wonderful care of Bean and Dani!!! And thank you so much for your flexibility with the changing schedule!!!”

“Amanda was amazing. We were very pleased with her care of our two kitties for two weeks. She was so punctual, we could almost tell what time it was when we got our message that she had started her visit! I think the pet areas were cleaner when we got home than when we left! She sent daily comments and photos and she gets great credit for managing to find and photograph our timid cat which is very good at hiding!! We will definitely use Amanda again.”

“Ken did a great job with our Rottweiler Sofia. We were gone for several days. He did well encouraging her to eat. He was on time for the drop in visits, provided a picture of a happy girl, and gave helpful feedback. Ken is kind and gentle.”

“Christine was awesome! She always came around the same time, which and important because our cats liked their daily treat at a certain time, did all the things we asked of her and spent time with our cats. We are so appreciative of her visits and felt confident with her caring for our cats. Will definitely utilize her service again in the future!”

About: I've grown up always having some around me. From cats to dogs to every farm animal, I've had it. I also took part in the FFA and 3 years of agriscience and small animal courses. I am just getting out of high school, so I am looking for something part-time that I can enjoy doing over the summer before leaving for college! I understand how important it is to have someone you trust to take care of your furry family members while you're away. I take pet safety very seriously and follow all necessary protocols to ensure that your pet is happy and healthy during their stay. About: Animals aren’t just pets to me. They are individuals with emotions, personalities, and needs that deserve to be understood and respected. You can feel completely at ease knowing their happiness, comfort, and safety are always my top priority. As an animal rights advocate, I approach every animal with genuine compassion and awareness, tailoring my care to who they are, not just what they need on paper. Whether they are energetic, shy, playful, or sensitive, I meet them where they are and give them the attention and love that helps them feel truly safe and seen. You can trust me to show up consistently, follow routines closely, and create a calm, caring environment while you are away. I do not just watch animals. I connect with them, care for them, and treat them like they matter, because they do. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I structure my schedule to allow consistent time for walks, feeding, check-ins, and companionship. I generally maintain a flexible routine, which allows me to adjust based on each pet’s needs and the specific care plan we agree on. I’m intentional about not overbooking so I can stay attentive and responsive while pets are in my care. My availability can vary slightly week to week, but I prioritize clear communication and planning in advance to ensure expectations are aligned and your pet’s routine is supported as closely as possible. I aim to create a calm, safe, and comfortable environment based on each pet’s routine and personality. Whether I’m in your home or mine, I follow your instructions closely while staying attentive to how your pet is feeling. In your home, I keep things consistent with their normal schedule so they feel secure. In my home, I maintain a clean, low-stress space with close supervision and attention to safety and care. I stay mindful during walks and interactions and avoid anything that could feel overwhelming or risky. I also provide regular updates with photos and check in if anything seems off so we can decide what’s best together. **I do not have pets of my own, but my roommates have pets in the other part of the home. They are well-managed, and I take care to ensure safe, controlled interactions. I can also keep pets fully separated at all times if preferred, using multi-barrier safety measures.
About: Hello! For most of my life I've grown up around pets. We always had dogs and cats, and while currently we have four cats I often house sit my mother's dog Honey. I have a passion for animals I hope to someday turn into a career. Just a side note while I am available weekends my time is limited to late mornings early afternoons due to transportation issues Currently I am unemployed and trying to get out of the food service industry. I have access to a vehicle if needed for house visits. I will happily take your furry friend on multiple walks, drop in to ensure everyone gets bathroom breaks, or even watch your cats if you're out of town. Typically for our four cats I take sole care of them. They are fed 1/4 cup dry food each 2 times a day and a can of wet food a day as well. Our cats are older so there's not much activity wise, however when Honey my mother's dog visits we usually do two walks a day. We also have a fenced in backyard for zoomies, full screened in lanai (with a pool which can be sectioned off) for post zoomies. When watching her overnight she gets herself a full bowl of dry food to graze on while receiving two portions of wet food throughout the day.
“Susan exceeded our expectations and she took really good care of Zoey. Zoey really loved her, too. She took in our mail and packages. Overall, a great experience and we look forward to using her again. We highly recommend her.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
