About: I’ve taken care of dogs of any kind since i was around 13. I love them unconditionally, they bring happiness to everyone. I have my own dogs, bigger breeds, and occasionally dogsit for my sister when she’s out of town! this is my full time! so i have plenty of time to make it everywhere i need to be! i make this my top priority day in and day out! my dogs are free roam in the house, trained and well behaved. my cat is also free roam and is well behaved, and likes almost everyone! if your animals are crate trained, that’s fine! your house your rules! i always stick to what the owners prefer, like, etc. for their animal. i never go the route of sticking to my own rules, it’s not my animal, the owner knows best!

About: I have loved caring for animals since I was a child. Walking and feeding our German Shepherd was my favorite part of the day. We also had a Chow and one feline. Training Rocky the rottweiler to remain calm while bunnies passed through the yard is my biggest accomplishment, thus far. I love working with animals and their energy. On Thursday morning I teach guided Meditation but make my own schedule other than that. I'm up early to watch the sun rise and greet all the neighbors and pups. Animals prefer and are most comfortable being in their own environment with the scent of loved ones surrounding them. I respect their boundaries and connect with their energy softly and respectfully.

Great service. She is very personable and left great pictures every day. She also collected my mail and watered a few plants. When I came home a little early she fixed the booking online so I didn't have to pay for unused visits. I recommend her highly.

OMG There are not enough Great words out to describe how incredibly awesome Barry is. My 12 year old boxer Dakota has over the last 6 months has developed a brain tumor and now has seizures. Over the last 2 weeks the seizures had gotten pretty bad and the vet and I were trying to get his meds corrected but during this time I won’t leave him alone for his safety, especially because this time he was loosing his vision afterwards for a few hours. So when I had to go to the airport to pick up my father and my friend that normally helps me out was unable to this time I only had 2 days to to find someone who I could trust with my baby in 2 days. After looking at about 50 or so different profiles on Rover and other sites I found BARRY. I soon as I read Barry’s profile I knew he would be perfect and as soon as he walked in the front of the front door Dakota walked up to him and gave him a kiss and wagged his little stump!! Let me tell you I cried, because with how sick he had been that was one of the first signs that MY DAKOTA was coming back and from that moment on I will forever have Barry as my Dog whisperer for any and all dogs I have. Thank you Barry you truly are the best!!!!!

About: I have been dog sitting all of my adult life, a variety of ages. Most of my experience is with senior dogs, my family dog included (16 year old cocker spaniel). I have taken dog body language courses at my local shelter to help me be more aware of how dog communicate with people and other dogs. This knowledge allows me to keep your dog safe and comfortable. High need dogs are always welcome and if your note to your dog watcher is a booklet I'm your girl! The more I know about your dog the better care I can provide so information is always welcome! My job is to provide care, keep your dog on their schedule and maintain the training you worked hard to provide your dog with. Looking forward to helping care for your furry family! I am a RN so my schedule is flexible, as long as i have a few days notice I can work with your schedule and we can figure out a plan for your pet! When providing care to your pet I will be present and active with them. I usually provide update pictures so you know they are doing okay and to provide peace of mind. Any specific care instructions provided i will be happy to follow, you need me to sit with them while they eat no problem! I have to sing them a so g before I put their food down, Im happy to! No ask is too much!

About: Hi, I’m Angel! a veteran, full-time student, and father with a genuine love for all animals! I offer and drop-in visits/walks, so whether your pet needs a relaxing walk or just a midday check-in, I’ve got you covered. I’ve been around animals my whole life, from dogs, cats, and kittens to turtles and bearded dragons. I’ve owned three dogs over the years and regularly handle medication for my own bulldog, Boulder, so I’m comfortable with hands-on care. I’m only in class two days a week, so I keep a flexible schedule, this way I have plenty of time to give your loved one real attention rather than a rushed visit. In my own home, pets have the run of the place, couch included, I’m only in class two days a week, from 8 AM to 1 PM, so outside of those hours I’m pretty much wide open. As a student with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to give pets real attention rather than a rushed visit! For house sitting or drop-in visits, I will accurately stick to any instructions given, following feeding times, walk schedules, and any specific instructions to keep things familiar and low-stress. Pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and a calm, safe environment throughout our time together. Safety always comes first: I keep a close eye on pets at all times and treat every pet like my own. I’m also always happy to schedule a meet and greet before booking, so you and your fur baby can feel comfortable with me.

About: Hey! So, what really sets me apart as a sitter is that I’m super attentive and caring, whether it’s training puppies or giving extra love to senior pets. I’m great at understanding their unique needs and making sure they feel comfy and happy. Plus, I’m always ready to handle any special care they might need! Pet care is something I make a priority in my daily and weekly routine. I set aside specific times for feeding, exercise, play, and any training or special care needed. Consistency is key, so I keep a schedule that fits the pet's individual needs, whether it's a lively puppy needing lots of energy outlets or a senior pet requiring gentle attention and medication. This way, I ensure they feel secure, loved, and well cared for every day. What’s your pet’s routine like? When caring for pets in my home, I create a safe, comfortable environment where they can relax and feel at ease. I stick to their usual feeding and exercise routines, provide plenty of playtime, and give lots of attention to keep them happy. If I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their specific instructions closely to maintain consistency for the pet. I also make sure to respect the home’s rules and keep everything tidy. Whether it’s at my place or theirs, my goal is to make the pet feel loved and secure.

About: I’ve been a pet owner for many years and understand how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for your pets when you’re away. I’ve also cared for my daughter’s pets and am comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, companionship, and following each pet’s normal routine. I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and will treat your pets with the same care and affection I give my own. I know every pet has their own personality, so I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while in my care. I work during the day Monday through Friday and am available for pet care in the late afternoons and evenings. I have more flexibility on weekends and holidays and am happy to work with your pet’s normal routine. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. About: I have had animals specifically dogs, my whole entire life. I’ve had Golden retrievers, boxers, and I currently have an Australian Shepherd that is three years old. I’ve had many years of experience going to peoples homes and pet sitting both dogs and cats. I’m safe, reliable and very attentive and I will make sure that your animals are in the best hands. I will care for you pets as they were my very own. I currently work full time and have the ability to work from home so that I can always be around your animals and let them out as frequently as needed. I have a fenced in backyard where I love to throw a ball to get all of that energy out. I normally take dogs out for walks as well. If I’m house sitting at someone’s house, I stay the night and do as requested. Normally, my clients write down a list of whatever they want/need me to do and I follow it. I’m very flexible and want to keep your pet safe in a stress free environment.

About: I’ve loved cats and dogs my whole life, caring for pets since I was a child. For the past two years I’ve worked as a vet tech, combining that lifelong passion with hands-on medical care, and support for pets and their owners. My experience blends deep affection for animals with practical skills in their health and well‑being. I usually work at a vet clinic from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a lunch break at 12:00 PM. During my shift I check on the animals, feed and water them, and let them out. After work, I get home, the animals are free for the rest of the night. I prioritize maintaining the specific rhythm and comfort they’re used to at your home. I strictly follow your feeding schedules and medical routines, ensuring they have a dedicated, cozy space to retreat to whenever they need a nap. For dogs, this means plenty of structured walks and backyard playtime, while for cats, I provide vertical perches and dedicated one-on-one enrichment to satisfy their curiosity. Above all, I keep a close eye on their body language to ensure they feel secure and loved, and I’ll send you regular photo updates so you can see exactly how much fun and relaxation they’re having while you're away.

My passion for animals isn’t just a hobby it’s something I want to continue doing for years to come, giving every pet the love, attention, and care they need. About: I had taken care of my grandparents animals growing up. Recently had a pet for 3years, but had to get rid of him due to having to move around during the pandemic. Looking to walk or house sit. Would help me cope being without my Chewy. I do have children, but I don't mind training an animal to feel more comfortable around children either. I'm really good with training dogs and have learned a lot through my years of pet sitting/walking. I have experience with all ages of dogs. My schedule is extremely open right now. I stay home with my three children most of the time and have a very flexible schedule. I have a very clean comfortable place for your animal to stay. If they like going to a dog park, I am open to tsking them. I can care for them in my home or your home. I'm very flexible. I currently do not own any animals. My profile says I do, but it won't let me change it. I am at home most of the time so my schedule is full of time to care for your pets! Any time and any day I will make any schedule. I live in an apartment with a back porch. My home is very welcoming to animals and is pet friendly. My neighborhood is dog friendly. I also know of a lot of great places to walk dogs or I can walk them around your home to follow their regular routine.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 697 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Bokeelia. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bokeelia. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
