About: I attended veterinary assisting school, where I gained hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and other animals. I’ve also had the unique opportunity to work with wild animals, which helped me develop a deep understanding of animal behavior and the patience needed to care for all kinds of pets. I genuinely love animals of all ages, from playful puppies to gentle senior pets, and I’m experienced in giving medications, managing special diets, and providing comforting care. Every pet I care for is treated like family, with plenty of love, attention, and respect. I currently work a full time job with pets, but have a pretty set routine and am able to frequently help out other people with their pets! I’m can remain calm in a sticky situation, I’ve helped with dogs up to 200lbs and am not shy when it comes to stepping in to help.
“Veronica was so great with my cats. They were well taken care of and it was a big relief to know they were in good hands. She was dependable and I appreciated her communication in sending updates and photos from each visit. She not only took affectionate care of my pets, but she also looked after my apartment as well. I recommend!”

“Rebecca was great! Super communicative, flexible and took great care of my cat who needed oral medication twice a day and sent great pictures of him. She was very considerate about everything and proactive. Would definitely trust her to watch our cat again!”

About: Since the age of seven, I have nurtured a passion for caring for animals, growing up in an environment surrounded by livestock and participating in animal shows. Additionally, I have gained experience as a veterinary technician assistant at an animal hospital. Incorporating pet care into my daily routine involves feeding, walking, and playing with clients pets. Weekly, I able to give quality time to ensure their well-being and happiness. Caring for pets in my home and clients' homes typically includes providing adequate food and fresh water, ensuring regular exercise through walks and playtime, maintaining cleanliness by tidying living areas, administering medications if needed, and offering companionship and attention to meet their emotional needs. For clients, I also tailor care to their specific instructions and routines, ensuring a consistent environment for the pets while their owners are away.
About: Everyone has relied on me to take care of their dogs. especially my mom, who works long hours every day. i enjoy coming to spend quality time with dogs. they make me happy and i love to play with them and make sure they’re well. i mostly work days at my job, so i can come take care of your pup when i am done, around 5 o’clock is when i get home. i am off two days as well, so those days will be fully open. i have a nice big townhome with fenced in backyard. and wherever i go, to go take care of the doggies, i will make sure they are safe with me and always on a leash if outside and always by my side while taking care of them.

“Marisa did amazing with my 10 week old puppy! She came with prior experience and was very knowledgeable about working with high energy puppies. She practiced training commands with him and went above and beyond just playing and letting him out. She was patient and caring. She sent updates while she was there along with pictures and videos to show me how it was going (which I loved because I was nervous as I'm a first time dog owner). I'm so happy I booked with her. I definitely recommend.”

About: Animals aren’t just pets to me. They are individuals with emotions, personalities, and needs that deserve to be understood and respected. You can feel completely at ease knowing their happiness, comfort, and safety are always my top priority. As an animal rights advocate, I approach every animal with genuine compassion and awareness, tailoring my care to who they are, not just what they need on paper. Whether they are energetic, shy, playful, or sensitive, I meet them where they are and give them the attention and love that helps them feel truly safe and seen. You can trust that I will show up consistently, follow routines closely, and create a calm, caring environment while you are away. I do not just watch animals. I connect with them, care for them, and treat them like they matter, because they do. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I structure my schedule to allow consistent time for walks, feeding, check-ins, and companionship. I generally maintain a flexible routine, which allows me to adjust based on each pet’s needs and the specific care plan we agree on. I’m intentional about not overbooking so I can stay attentive and responsive while pets are in my care. My availability can vary slightly week to week, but I prioritize clear communication and planning in advance to ensure expectations are aligned and your pet’s routine is supported as closely as possible. I aim to create a calm, safe, and comfortable environment based on each pet’s routine and personality. Whether I’m in your home or mine, I follow your instructions closely while staying attentive to how your pet is feeling. In your home, I keep things consistent with their normal schedule so they feel secure. In my home, I maintain a clean, low-stress space with close supervision and attention to safety and care. I stay mindful during walks and interactions and avoid anything that could feel overwhelming or risky. I also provide regular updates with photos and check in if anything seems off so we can decide what’s best together. I do not have pets of my own, but there are pets in the home belonging to my roommates. They are well-managed, and I take care to ensure safe, controlled interactions. I can also keep pets fully separated at all times if preferred
About: I have cared for and lived with two dogs in my life( golden retriever and German shepherd) and one cat. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
