“Kennedy has been wonderful. Coming almost weekly and sometimes multiple times a day for the last two months. She’s been a real support for us. Brodie will miss his visits from her.”

“Lani is THE BEST. She does a great job of taking care of my cat when I am away. She is reliable and not only takes care of the basics, but brushes, pets, plays with and shows affection for my fluffy baby, so I have piece of mind.”

“Eryn was truly amazing. She is a very trustworthy and kind person, excellent with pets. We found ourself in a very special situation, traveling to Europe for two weeks. Our cat Tiger got sick and needed to visit the emergency at the vet hospital. Eryn took care of that too, and saved his life. She exceeded our expectations in all ways! So if you’re looking for the best possible person to trust with your pet, Eryn is the one! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 6 stars out of 5!”

“Daniella was the best person I have chosen to look after my dog when I was away for 7 days. I have a small dog ,he is scared with strangers but she knows how exactly to handle him. She built the trust and they became friends. She did a lot during the 7 days drop-in-visit, such as cleaning the dog’s pee pads, walking him, playing with him, giving treats, changing water and food. My dog loves her company and even make friends with her cute little chihuahua. Absolutely amazing!! Definitely will book again in the future .”

About: My partner (Henry) and I love to watch dogs together! We have been surrounded by dogs our whole lives, from small picky eaters to large dogs that can run for miles. Growing up around dogs, we know that they are all different and respond to new people differently, but we have had positive experiences in taking care of family’s, neighbors’, and friends’ dogs in the past and have a ton of energy to do so. We love spending time outside and with dogs and have dog-sat before, including experiences wherein we did not stay in the owners’ home, but visited frequently to walk and feed their dog, and we have dog sat in our own home, so we are comfortable with adapting our services to any of your needs. We both have hybrid work situations, so one of us is always working from home at any given time and are used to being flexible with a pet’s schedule. We take care of pets like they are our own, in the past when we have boarded dogs in our home we have adapted to what the pet is and is not allowed to do (ie sleeping in the bedroom or not etc.)

“Roxanne came and checked in on my cat everyday for 2 weeks. I got pictures and videos and felt so happy knowing my baby was being well taken care of. Usually my cat has separation anxiety but when I came back she seemed so happy and healthy!”

About: Hi There, Thanks for your interest in my services. I’m currently the dog dad of a Staffy/Husky mix named Ocean. She is a very good girl- dog and human lover at heart. Ocean is a very loyal companion and friend. I have grown up with pets in my home since a child and truly love all animals. I’m very familiar with animal handling and have worked with puppies, teens and seniors of both cats and dogs. A meet and greet will be required for a proper evaluation of your pet. All pets must be up to date on all vaccinations- with proof. All pets will be supervised 24/7. Must be crate trained or training. No aggression what so ever, this includes resource guarding of foods, toys, anything. Safety is the number 1 concern always. About: I have watched dogs all sizes, breeds, and personalities since I was 16 for neighbors, friends, and family. I have fed pets, taken pets for walks, and hung with them. I do work full time but I’m around weekends, week nights, Thursdays, and Tuesday mornings. I have two dogs myself so I know how to manage time. I can crate your dog, make sure they are in a comfortable environment, make a close relationship with our dog and have no danger around them.
“Allison was fantastic. She came into my Bubba's life at his end, she was patient and went out of her way to make my old guy comfortable and most importantly happy. Of the almost 14 years Bubba was in my life, you can imagine how many pictures of him I have. Non of which are as good as the few Allison took while caring for him. People I can deal with, but it takes a very special person to deal with animals coming in and out of your life so frequently. Bubba and I appreciate that. Thank you.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Andrews. On Rover:

- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
