About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 10years. I have experience with all ages, from puppies to seniors. I am educated to give medications and CPR. I’ve worked with all ranges of dog breeds and sizes. I am a part-time college student at Massasoit Community College and also work as a spa receptionist part-time. I’m typically home for over half the day giving, allowing for me to give your furry friend the love and attention they need a deserve! I am a very active person and love to exercise, meaning your fur baby will also get lots of exercise. If they are social I would love to take them on a hike or out running errands with me.

About: My partner (Henry) and I love to watch dogs together! We have been surrounded by dogs our whole lives, from small picky eaters to large dogs that can run for miles. Growing up around dogs, we know that they are all different and respond to new people differently, but we have had positive experiences in taking care of family’s, neighbors’, and friends’ dogs in the past and have a ton of energy to do so. We love spending time outside and with dogs and have dog-sat before, including experiences wherein we did not stay in the owners’ home, but visited frequently to walk and feed their dog, and we have dog sat in our own home, so we are comfortable with adapting our services to any of your needs. We both have hybrid work situations, so one of us is always working from home at any given time and are used to being flexible with a pet’s schedule. We take care of pets like they are our own, in the past when we have boarded dogs in our home we have adapted to what the pet is and is not allowed to do (ie sleeping in the bedroom or not etc.)

About: Hi There, Thanks for your interest in my services. I’m currently the dog dad of a Staffy/Husky mix named Ocean. She is a very good girl- dog and human lover at heart. Ocean is a very loyal companion and friend. I have grown up with pets in my home since a child and truly love all animals. I’m very familiar with animal handling and have worked with puppies, teens and seniors of both cats and dogs. When previously house sitting and boarding for neighbors and friends for the past 8 years I’ve learned that I am a true animal lover and protector with knowledgeable traits on body interpretation and breed familiarity. Home services are so important! Pets are happier and experience less stress when they are home. Diet and exercise routines are uninterrupted. Travel trauma for both owner and pet is eliminated— plus the guaranteed comfort and safety of your family members. I take pride and joy in caring for each and every client individually. I am a full time Pet Caretaker available for daily drop ins and house sittings— with due notice I am pretty flexible and understanding. During boarding or daycare pets will be taken out every 2 hours in groups that best fit their temperament and energy level. Please review 7 day cancellation policy details. A meet and greet will be required for a proper evaluation of your pet. All pets must be up to date on all vaccinations- with proof. Mandatory questionnaire must be filled out prior to scheduled meet and greets to give an accurate evaluation as well as getting every important detail about your pet. My home has a fenced in yard. All pets will be supervised 24/7. Must be crate trained or training. No aggression what so ever, this includes resource guarding of foods, toys, anything. Safety is the number 1 concern always. Pet CPR certified and insured.

About: I have watched dogs all sizes, breeds, and personalities since I was 16 for neighbors, friends, and family. I have fed pets, taken pets for walks, and hung with them. I do work full time but I’m around weekends, week nights, Thursdays, and Tuesday mornings. I have two dogs myself so I know how to manage time. I can crate your dog, make sure they are in a comfortable environment, make a close relationship with our dog and have no danger around them.

About: I’ve been walking and taking care of all pets since I was ten years old. I love them. I have a dog of my own and I would treat anyone’s as I treat my own. With love and respect and patience. I can walk your dog, do drop by visits, and stay in your home while you are away. Cat too! I’m pretty flexible. I am a dogs friend and they take to me as I them. Taking care of a pet is easy if you love doing it as much as I do. If you tell me what you need I have no doubt I would be able to help you and your lovely fur friend with whatever service. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby. I can currently home for the summer so I have all the time to tend to everyone’s fur babies! So I’m free basically every and any day needed! I tend to people’s fur babies as directed. I have a fenced in yard and ab suv for park trips. I like to follow the pets schedule for the most part adding in my own touches where I can!

About: Personally, I don’t own a dog, but furry friends are my favorite! I have been walking dogs for my friend for a year, and I was working in a dog-friend office. If there’s anything that you want me to learn for your baby, my ears are all yours! I’m currently in nursing school, my schedule varies from week to week. I’m responsible and patient when it comes to pet care. I love outdoor adventures and I would love to have a furry companion. Pet’s safety and happiness is my number one priority, I’ll do anything to prevent them from toxins inside/outside the house. I’ll inspect potential hazards around the furry babies and remove the hazards upon finding.

Allison was fantastic. She came into my Bubba's life at his end, she was patient and went out of her way to make my old guy comfortable and most importantly happy. Of the almost 14 years Bubba was in my life, you can imagine how many pictures of him I have. Non of which are as good as the few Allison took while caring for him. People I can deal with, but it takes a very special person to deal with animals coming in and out of your life so frequently. Bubba and I appreciate that. Thank you.

About: Hi! My name is Lauren, I'm a student making a career change to healthcare after working in the technology industry. I've always loved working with animals and started back 2015 walking dogs professionally. I then worked for Above and Beyond Pet Services based in Watertown from 2021 until 2023. I've been caring for animals for almost a decade and this is my first time back on Rover since going back to school. I love caring for animals and I find they tend to trust me. I pay close attention to their personality and needs, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I have experience working with bunnies, dogs, rodents, and have the most experience with cats. I'm attentive, caring, and good at getting pets active through playing with toys or going for walks. I also have experience with plant care and can complete light to medium household tasks (cleaning, getting mail, and etc.) I have a reliable car, and am familiar with Massachusetts. I am from here and have been in the greater Boston area for 8 years. I love exploring and don't mind a commute especially when planned in advance. Overall, I love animals and treasure the time I get to spend providing care for my clients furry family members. I'm currently going back to school online and work remotely so I have plenty of flexibility to block out time in my schedule for pet sitting in my area. I give my full dedicated attention during visits and find meaning and joy working with animals. I care for clients home as if they were my own and with the upmost respect and professionalism. I ensure all animals are safe and residents secured as directed by clients. I also ensure procedures are carefully outlined between myself and clients and then followed to ensure the best experience. Upon request, I offer complimentary services like watering plants, light cleaning, and/or bringing in mail. I take before and after pictures of litter boxes and feeding areas to provide ease of mind for proper sanitation during visits. I ensure all trash and potty bags/supplies are properly cleaned and disposed of according to clients request. I do not offer boarding. I understand the sensitivity and responsibility of coming into someone's home. I ensure a safe clean environment is maintained for pets and client to return to. My goal is to exceed client expectation by maintaining and building trust through clear communication and follow-through so I can help make my clients lives easier knowing their beloved animals are in the best care.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Fort Andrews

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 4,581 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Fort Andrews. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Andrews. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
