“Alyssa did an amazing job taking care of Rocky. She was a great communicator and I could tell Rocky felt very comfortable with her. I will definitely be using her again for any future pet sitting needs!”

“Serena took very good care of our new furbaby!! We were a little anxious cuz it was the first time leaving him for a few hours. All was well eI will definitely call on Serena next time.”

“A wonderful job as always! Nallie kept us updated with photos and texts and we were able to enjoy our short trip knowing she was talking care of our fur baby. Thank you Nallie!”
About: I have pet sat for years, with both cats and dogs. I also have a dog of my own who is 7. I take care of every dog the way I would want my own to be taken care of. I’m a full-time graduate student, and I work full-time. Taking care of dogs as a way to make some extra money to pay for school and rent is the goal! I can easily crate a dog if needed or make sure they are kept safe in a fenced in yard. I am also able to keep a dog safely on their leash.
“Jennifer was an amazing sitter for Lucy. I received daily updates with photos and knew she was in great hands. Leaving a younger puppy for a longer vacation was difficult, but knowing she was with a loving family made it so much easier. I highly recommend Jennifer!”

“Lina took to Maureen and Joshua immediately! They are kind and accommodating, and I feel confident my puppy is getting great care. So grateful to them for helping out over the holidays as well.”

“Leslie was very reliable watching our dog over a holiday weekend, as well as with following instructions related to our dog’s injury and medication management. Would recommend her!”

“Elizabeth took great care of our 2 year old dog, Rory. She was completely reliable, sent lots of pictures, and we could tell he was well loved when we returned home. She left our house very clean and communicated well with lots of pictures while we were away. We will absolutely be using her again!”

“Emily was great! She sent lots of pictures and made sure my dogs were taken care of while I was out of town, especially when one wasn’t feeling well. I would definitely have her pet sit again!”

“James took wonderful care of my pets and my home as usual. He’s reliable, trustworthy, communicative, and kind. My pets love him so much, I can always travel with peace of mind.”

“Alicia was great! I could tell from the pictures that our pups felt comfortable and at ease with her. When we came home, the dogs and cats all were happy to see us and were calm. I could tell she took excellent care of them because they were all happy and relaxed when we got home(and three of them have anxiety). Our house was clean and everything how we left it. 100% recommend to anyone looking for high quality care! Will definitely call her again for future pet sitting needs.”
“Christina was great! I highly recommend her. She communicated well - sent plenty of photos and updates. I could tell the pets were taken good care of, and she even went above and beyond to do things she didn’t have to. The house looked just as it was when I left it. Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve taken care of many animals in my life and also train my cat to play fetch and tag. I also have taken care of senior dogs during their final moments. Im currently a stay at home housewife and have some free time and I love animals so I definitely don’t mind how long or price for the care I’ll be giving. Also, if I am unavailable due to me, house sitting my husband could always attend and he is a Rover user. I give my cat and my friends animals when watching them all kinds of vitamins and supplements with salmon, fish, squid, and all kinds of other stuff. I give them attention so they know that they are loved and cared for. If the cat at my place is an issue he could stay in the bedroom for the time being
About: My dog growing up was a black lab chow mix, so I work well with energetic dogs and love to run and play with them. I love to be outside and would love to take your dog on a walk/hike with me! I joined Rover to spend time with animals, get some exercise, and help you take care of your furry companions. I am hardworking, reliable, and punctual. I’m currently working hybrid so I’m flexible with dog walking times and my ability to dog sit! My job is 9-5, but I can stop over before/after and on breaks between meetings depending on your dog’s needs! I am flexible to either let your dog out in a fenced-in-backyard or take them on a leashed walk! The length and duration of that walk can be adapted to your dogs’ energy levels!

“Jo is simply the best. This is our second time using her and it won’t be our last! She provides excellent care for our 14 y/o dog and I trust her completely. This last visit a recurring medical issue flared up for him and Jo was the first to spot it. She gives detailed communication and was able to pivot and adjust to the new medication instructions immediately. I’m so happy Jo was there to care for Chesney while we were away. It gave me the peace of mind any pet parent (esp of a senior dog) wants. Thank you, Jo!”

Amber was amazing – truly amazing. I get a lot of anxiety about who I trust to take care of our dogs, and she made me feel completely at ease. She sent tons of pictures and updates, which I really appreciated, and somehow even managed to win over our territorial, anxious Aussie. By the end, they were basically besties. 😂 Amber is fabulous. Highly, highly recommend her, and we will absolutely be booking with her again!

We can go away and enjoy ourselves with Renee. She gives us peace of mind. She is responsive, takes great care of our home while she is here, she actually leaves it in better condition than when we left, LOL. Great communication and sends lots of photos! We highly recommend her. Renee, thank you so much! We had the best time on our trip!

Emily was absolutely wonderful watching our dog bean for a week while we were on vacation! Bean is a super shy dog with some arthritis and weird quirks so it was so great that she was able to make bean feel comfortable and secure! She did a great job handling her meds and routine. We came back to a spotless house and a happy dog!

I wish we could rate Taylor 10 stars! She took the best care of our old boy Finnigan. He got lots of walks, snuggles and affection. Taylor also took excellent care of our home while we were away for Christmas. We were able to book Taylor on very short notice for a holiday trip since our other sitter cancelled. Finnigan and I highly recommend Taylor!

Denise was easy to communicate with and made herself available for extra meetings. She sent daily pictures and updates and took our dog to new, fun walking places. And, she left our house shiny and clean! Also, this is her only job at this time which means your dog won’t be left for long periods of time alone. I would highly recommend Denise for an overnight extended stay or any other dog sitting needs!

Candy was absolutely amazing with our 13 year old pup! She completely went above and beyond with her visits and care - she checked in every day, sending adorable pics & updates. We highly recommend booking with Candy and will totally reach back out in the future when we need dog sitting! Thank you so much, Candy!

Elysia was great! She responded quickly to my inquiry when I suddenly needed a dog sitter on very short notice, and I could tell right away during our meet & greet that she’d take great care of our dog. We came home to a happy dog and a well cared-for home. I would hire her again.

In the past, I have been hesitant using rover because it can be difficult to trust someone with your pet. However, I couldn't be happier we decided to reach out to Sierra to board our Bernese mountain dog, Sullivan! Sully has a lot of personality and can be anxious at times, it takes some time getting to know his quirkiness; but when we did the meet and greet with Sierra, it eased all of my worries! You can tell she genuinely loves being around, and caring for dogs. Sully got along great with her two dogs, who are so well behaved. Throughout our trip, Sierra sent the perfect amount of updates with pictures and videos- and Sully made himself right at home! It was so nice to enjoy my time away knowing Sully was in good hands, and we are so relieved to have found a reliable couple to watch Sully and to be stress free when away!

Anna was a fantastic companion for our dog Jax! She took excellent care of him and sent us updates and pictures throughout her stay at our house. She went above and beyond by stopping by to get a tour of the house and to get to know Jax the day prior to our reservation. We would highly recommend Anna to other families who are looking for a new friend that your dog can spend time with when you’re away from home! :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Fairview Park on Rover is $42.8 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 1,196 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Fairview Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Fairview Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Fairview Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fairview Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fairview Park. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
