About: I have loved and cared for dogs for many years. During college, I spent five years working in a veterinary office where I gained valuable experience. I have a friendly Golden retriever who enjoys having other dogs around (large or small). I have cared for dogs belonging to our friends and family while they travel and understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. I provide a safe, comfortable home where your dog can be a part of the family while enjoying our spacious fenced yard and receive plenty of attention. Our two children are older and comfortable with dogs. They understand how to be respectful around dogs so your dog will be joining a calm, family-oriented home. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine and will do my best to make your dog feel at home while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I am home much of the time and enjoy having dogs as part of our family routine. I have the flexibility to give boarding dogs plenty of attention and outdoor time. I am able to accommodate each dog's normal routine as much as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, playtime and bedtime. My goal is for your dog to feel comfortable in our home rather than staying in a kennel. Our home has a large fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore. My friendly Golden Retriever enjoys playing with friends. I keep my boarding groups under 2 dogs so I can give each dog individual attention and maintain a calm environment.

About: For the past four years, I’ve been actively involved in running a busy in-home dog boarding and daycare business through Rover. While my former partner handled most of the client communication and scheduling, I was heavily involved in the day-to-day care of the dogs and was responsible for making sure they were safe, happy, exercised, and well cared for throughout their stay. I regularly cared for multiple dogs at a time, including dogs staying with us 24/7. One of my favorite parts of caring for dogs is making sure they have a great experience while their owners are away. I love playing with them, giving them attention, taking them outside, and getting great pictures and updates for their owners so they can see how much fun their dog is having. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and after four years of hands-on experience caring for dogs in a busy boarding and daycare environment, I’m excited to continue doing what I love and provide that same level of care to Rover clients and their pets. About: I got my first puppy for my 10th birthday. She was entirely my responsibility. I fed, bathed, and trained her. She was a huge white shepherd and the sweetest thing on paws I still miss her. Since then, I’ve had many, many dogs and cats through the years. I’ve been through dog training school several times. I currently have three full-sized Goldendoodles who are reasonably well trained, although they are still way too friendly. I’m retired and available about any day except Sunday afternoons: noon church service. I get my groceries delivered, so I’m here most of the time. I try to walk one of mine every day, weather permitting. I would walk your pup before I walk mine. I also have a fenced-in back yard where the dog run and play. My house is dog friendly, and I’m not overly concerned with dirt. I also have the world’s best vacuum cleaner to deal with it and all the hair. lol I have a large fenced-in back yard with river rock instead of grass, so mud is not a problem. My three friendly Doodles love racing around, especially in the snow, and they would love to add your dog to the fun. At the end of the day, we all go upstairs and sleep in my room with a baby-gate blocking the door, so there is no house roaming overnight. I also have room for crates if that’s what your dog needs to feel comfortable. I have one cat who is comfortable around dogs and knows where to hide if necessary. Please have your dog be familiar with cats or at least won’t attack her if she tries to make friends. I can accommodate special diets and know how to use a pill gun for medications.

Around the year 2000, I became more structured working with dogs, including turning an abandoned barn dog into the best behaved house dog, and adopting a street rescue that I rehabbed into a great family pet. I am the alpha, firm but I'm FUN, FUN, FUN! I am also a cat lover! For awhile I lived out on a country farm and took care of 13 cats! (They were indoor family pets, not strays or barn cats.)
