“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! She took such wonderful care of our dog while we were away and kept us updated with adorable photos, which our family absolutely loved. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy, safe, and well cared for. We highly recommend her and would gladly trust her with our dog again. Thank you so much! 🩷”

“If you love your dog like they were your own child, then book Tonia! I’d give Tonia six stars if I could. Her patience and kindness with humans such as I, and animals like my dog, were superb! She knows that dogs are dogs and is understanding when they behave as such. My dog is not comfortable in kennels, when other sitters have that as a norm, she lets them hang out as close to her as they want, all the time. She treated my dog (my kid) like her own and she appreciates the familial love my dog and I share.”

“Amanda and her husband were WONDERFUL! I received pics and updates daily. I'm beyond pleased with everything about this stay. I would definitely leave Lilo with them again! Thanks for everything!”

“Whitley was great when she watched our dog during our wedding weekend! She was responsive, flexible, and super understanding when the wedding nerves made us anxious. Loved the wedding day doggo photo shoot❤️”

“Kelsey provides a calm, safe environment for your dog to blend in with her two dogs while you need to be out of town. She did a great job taking care of our boy, Gilbert, and sends pictures so you can see how your dog is doing. Kelsey is great at communication and easy to work with. Gilbert enjoyed his stay!”

“Virginia & Kathleen were available on short notice, which I really appreciated. They took good care of my dog and kept me updated during the stay. Everything went smoothly, and I’d consider booking with them again in the future.”

“My golden retriever loves Karen and our dog is generally timid with new people but Karen’s energy and patience are just perfect. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Alej was great! I was a little nervous with it being the first time my dog has officially stayed with a sitter but she made me feel at ease. I loved the updates and pics while I was away! She was also very flexible and accommodating which I also appreciated. Will definitely book again!”

“Picky pet owner here, and I could not be happier. Blue got to play in a big fenced in yard with Colleens two sweet dogs. Constant care, love and cuddles. Blue would be very happy to go back.”

“Eric is an outstanding human being to care for your your furry best friend. We booked him last minute for a few days to settle in to our new apartment because our dog was showing signs of anxiety and lack of attention. Eric truly changed Bubs to his goofy happy self again and we can't be any happier. He was very responsive and will send all the updates to put you at comfort while your pet is in care of him! Highly recommend to book his services you won't be sorry. ?”

“While on vacation we entrusted Kimberly with our dog for his first time away from home. He did wonderfully with her—from the photos Kimberly sent it was clear he was super comfortable. We really appreciated the daily walks. Would work with Kimberly again in a heartbeat!”

About: Hi, we're Faith and Rusty. Rusty is a senior corgi-retriever mix that loves naps and rolling in the grass. We walk twice a day and enjoy living near plenty of trails and a big park. He is dog-friendly and would love some company. We're open to hosting for dogs, animals in enclosures, and animals that may be harder to find care for. I have a lot of personal experience with animals from pets to exotics, so we would love to host your loved one. I am fully available. I can also add on weekend activities such as a local hike or taking them to a prepaid grooming appointment for an additional fee. I have an aging dog that takes medication and requires accommodation for seperation anxiety, so I am familiar with meeting special needs or adjustments in care. I do not crate pets unless advised due to behavioral concerns, and the pet must be crate trained. For animals that live in enclosures such as rabbits or guinea pigs, I will keep them on a desk or in my room with periods of playtime out of the enclosure as directed by their guardian.

“Sara and Craig always do a wonderful job taking care of our dog Millie when we are away. We have used them several times and Millie always comes home happy and healthy. I would highly recommend them for your pets care too!”

“David was an excellent choice to watch our dogs for a short trip. I was nervous for someone new to watch them, since they are trouble makers. He not only took such good care of them as well as taught them to mind and behave. David is really good at what he does and takes alot of care in helping train them as well. I would definitely give him 5 stars!!”

“Patrice did an excellent job taking care of my geriatric dog. Although my pet suffers from separation anxiety, Patrice’s handling of her was calming and comforting from the start. After pick up, she did not manifest restlessness, which is often a sign she does not connect with a person. We are thankful for Patrice’s caring touch and will be returning to her in the future. We highly recommend!”

“We had a great experience with Bonnie! She was super attentive and kept us updated wit pictures of our pup, Lucy. It was such a relief knowing she was in good hands. Would definitely book again!”

Raven is an excellent sitter! I’m always hesitant leaving my dog child with someone for the first time. She stayed in touch often with pictures and updates which helped put me at ease. Her Son was awesome with Trixy and helped make her stay comfortable! I’d definitely contact Raven for future stays. We’re lucky to have her on Rover!!!
They took great care of my greyhound Sardine. It was her first time being away from me for so long so I was a little nervous but there was nothing to worry about. Rachel and Nicholas sent me plenty of photos and updates on how she was doing during her stay and made sure she was eating well. They will definitely be my first choice the next time Sardine needs to be boarded.

Our dog, Finney, really enjoyed her stay with Jennifer. She was totally relaxed and content and I felt that she was in a welcoming, loving, and safe home environment. Jennifer was excellent with communication and sent me photos and messages about Finney during her visit which was reassuring, especially since this was the first time she had stayed at her home. Thank you, Jennifer!

Michael and Anne are friendly, caring and reliable people who communicated daily (pictures, texts) while we were gone for 8 days. They did a fabulous job following and carrying out very specific instructions for our dog with newly diagnosed chronic medical needs. This was so reassuring and made our time away much less stressful, as it was the first time we have left her since the diagnosis.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
