I’ve been involved with dog rescue for many years. I worked with virtually every type of dog there is. From shy, timid to very high energy. I’ve had dogs that had aggression issues. I worked with dogs on leash training, housebreaking, and socialization.

Wow! I cannot say enough about what a great sitter Susan is!! On top of being just 4 miles from my home, Susan was just wonderful to us during our meet and greet, where we met her 2 dogs and 2 cats (can't say we really met the cats, since cats don't do meet and greets). We're always concerned about Abby and other dogs but once Susan's dogs met Abby, sniffed her once or twice, the novelty was gone and they all settled down. This was the first time that we had left Abby with anyone she doesn't know, and I can say that I was a little anxious, but Susan was fantastic! It's clear that she has a lot of experience with animals and cares deeply for them. She supplied lots of feedback and photos during Abby's 2-night stay and responded very quickly to my texts. We will definitely be booking with Susan in the future.
First time leaving my dog Danny with Susan and she was a great dog sitter during my weeklong trip. Great communication and very responsive. Would definitely have her board my dog again.

Susan was so amazing. She is the kindest person and truly loves all animals. Delilah stayed with her for two nights and had a great time with Susan and the other pups at her house. Her large, fenced yard is a dog's dream. Susan also had great communication and provided frequent pictures and updates. I highly recommend.
I had a wonderful experience with Susan taking care of my puppy, Lucky. She was kind, patient, and kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind. It was clear that Lucky was well cared for, comfortable, and receiving lots of love and attention. Schedule
I am retired. I have nothing but time on my hands! I volunteer Thursday mornings at an equine therapy barn. But I will still have time to take care of animals on Thursdays.

I am open to caring for dogs in my home. But! They have to be dog and cat friendly. I would prefer not to have younger dogs, only because my dogs are older and don’t like young dogs, jumping all over them. My dogs are very dog friendly though. My cats are very dog friendly. In fact, they prefer dogs over our cats!

A typical day
We spent a lot of time outdoors. I have a pretty decent size backyard. My dogs loved to explore it. Depending on the dogs that are here with me, sometimes we take a walk at a park. With permission, we may go to the dog park.

- I have experience with blind dogs, and dogs with some health issues. I have given injections before. Any dogs that comes to my house, has to get along with my two dogs and my cats. My cats love dogs, and are not afraid of them. They will walk right up to dogs and start rubbing up against them.
