“Once again Shauna took great care of my pup Bo. He loves being there and running around and playing in her back yard. He is treated like family. I will continue to use Shauna.”

“I am very grateful to have found Kim. I am very picky about who I will allow to watch Bandit. Kim (and her mom and brother) loved on him as her own. They even taught him some new tricks! She also sent me many pictures every day, helping me to feel comfortable that Bandit was happy and well taken care of. I highly recommend Kim.”

“Madison & Adam were amazing! They sent so many pictures and minnie really felt comfortable with them! She went on a lot of walks and had a great time. I already booked Madison again! 100% recommend.”

“Bradley was awesome and super friendly. Clean house with a cut spacious front and back lawn. Provided us with plenty of updates and would definitely take our dogs back to him!”

“Amanda and Mike are great! Ashli loves them both and has such a great time when she is there. I never worry when my girl is there because she is well taken care of!”

“Sarah and Jared are a wonderful couple, and obviously dog lovers. they took great care of my Luke while I was out of town, and even kept him despite some issues that occurred during the stay. I can highly recommend them for watching your beloved pup! Super nice folks with a fenced yard for pups to play and experienced dog sitters.”

“I needed a place to board my dog for a night while my husband and I went to a wedding. Our dog has been to standard daycare facilities but isn't fond of being left alone so we didn't like the idea of her staying in a kennel. Alison was really accommodating and assured us that our sweet girl would get plenty of attention and play time with her own dogs, which is perfect because our girl loves to make friends. We were afraid that she'd have trouble settling in because she's very attached to us, but we were put at ease when Alison sent a picture of our girl sleeping on a comfy couch. They also made sure she had her allergy meds and food. This is exactly the environment and attention our dog needs to be comfortable being away from us for a bit. Thank you so much for watching her!”

“Kelti and Tanner always take such good care of Ollie! He has so much fun playing with their cute pups! He is a pretty shy guy and kelti and tanner always seem to break him out of his shell, we love them!”

“Dantasia was awesome! This was my first time using Rover and she made the experience excellent! My dog loved her and her family and returned to me as happy and healthy as she was dropped off.”

“Patty was great and very attentive to our dogs!!! From the second I dropped them off until I picked them, I knew she was doing everything she could to make my dogs comfortable with her and the accommodations. She loves spending time outdoors as do my dogs so she let them run around in her fenced in yard for hours and provided plenty of pictures! Patty told me when I booked with her that she is passionate about providing people with peace of mind that their dogs are in good hands while they are away, and I definitely felt that way the entire time they stayed with her.”

“Madison took great care of my girl! She sent me daily updates and photos and responded promptly whenever I reached out. She treated her as if she were her own and I would definitely trust her to watch my baby again!”

“Dana and Jason were very sweet and did a great job caring for Onyx! Dana sent lots of photos which we really appreciated. It was our first time leaving Onyx with Dana and Jason and plan on coming back!”

“I had my 8 mo pup stay with Katie as a trial run before a longer trip, as he has not been around other dogs much and I was worried about the dynamic. I am so glad that I did because he did so well and Katie was so communicative in giving updates. I feel completely comfortable and confident in leaving him with Katie for the longer trip now. Thank you!”

“Once again Paisley’s second parents came through for us! Paisley has some health issues and not only did they give her all the meds (which were a bit complicated) they took daily walks. I’m sure she will be expecting those now that she’s home! 😂 Michael continued to send us pictures to let us know she was okay. She misses them I’m sure!”

I can not recomment Stephanie enough. She takes such good care of our dogs and they LOVE her. We recently went on a long vacation and she had our pups for almost two weeks. One of the dogs got sick while they were there and she contacted me right away and wound up having to take her to the vet as there might have been some serious concerns. Stephanie is very knowledgable and knew what to do and what to look for. Long story short she took care of my Willow and she is fine. I am just extremely grateful that Stephanie is someone we can trust to care and love our dogs when we are away. I highly recommend her!!! Thank you Stephanie!!

Libby and her delightful little Boston Terrier, Bela were the perfect fit for my high maintenance Shih Tzu, Cosmo. Libby was careful to ensure that Cosmo had everything he needed for what seems to have been an exciting and enjoyable visit. We are looking forward to visiting them again soon.

Max just spent two weeks with Sarah and Jared and I can't recommend them enough! Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay; I always received quick responses and loved the regular picture updates. They have a fantastic, big backyard where Max got plenty of exercise and playtime. It was so heartening to hear that Max bonded with their dog and that their kids treated him like part of the family. Leaving a pet for two weeks can be stressful, but knowing Max was in such a loving, active environment made my trip much more enjoyable. Max came home happy and tuckered out from all the fun. We will definitely be back!

Words cannot describe how wonderful Molly did with Gus! Molly was always responsive, sending tons of pictures and updates. Molly went above and beyond, as on the second day when Gus got a little sick, Molly was there to do anything and everything for him. I would 100% use Molly in the future when I am out of town for work again! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my boy!

The sum total? Perfect! Leann provided videos every 2-3 days so that I could see he was behaving like a gentleman and not doing a Godzilla on her house.😉🤣 Also taking him for a daily walk & sniff. Letting him socialize with two of her dogs. I couldn't ask for more. Thanx Leann

Erin was amazing! We have an anxious boy and she was so gentle and let him acclimate on his own time. We received lots of pictures and updates on what he was doing throughout the day! Erin even made him a doggie friendly Thanksgiving dinner which was above and beyond!! Highly recommend her for your fur babies!

Madelaine took care of my four male cats for six days, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Each of my boys has a different personality, and she handled them all with patience and confidence. I didn’t have any special instructions, but she still made sure everyone was comfortable and settled. Her communication was excellent — she sent daily updates and photos, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Her home is clean, safe, and very cat-friendly. I would absolutely book with Madelaine again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and truly cat-savvy sitter.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Who’s a Good Sitter? Shafter Is!” 🐶✨ I’m proud to say I was Shafter’s first client, and he set the bar *high*! From the very beginning, he was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. He sent me regular photo updates and even asked how he could best support my pup through some tough moments—especially during rainy weather, which usually makes my dog uncomfortable. Shafter carefully wrote down all of my instructions and followed them to the letter. I had *zero* hesitation leaving my fur baby with him, and I absolutely would again in the future. Highly recommend!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
