“Jenna was very communicative and our bulldog loved staying with her. Her house is a beautiful setup for any furry friend. We felt so comfortable leaving our dog with Jenna. Thank you again!!!”

“Very pleasant experience. You can tell Dana and Jason are dog lovers. Our dog had a good time and got on well with their dogs. We especially like that Dana works from home so someone is with dogs most all ofvthe time. Will definitely use again, in fact already booked another visit!”

“As always, Mike and Amanda were amazing! Moose is still sleeping because he had such a great time playing and visiting! Mike and Amanda accepted on such a last minute impromptu mini vacation, and I was thrilled to have them again! I can't wait to have them watch my boy for our summer vacation! They are absolutely wonderful to work with and very accommodating! Until next time!👋”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Katie! She took care of our 3 dogs (including our giant Great Dane puppy—lots of energy and slobber 😅) for 10 days and went above and beyond the entire time. We received daily updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. All of our dogs came home happy, well cared for, and clearly loved. You can tell Katie truly cares about the animals she watches. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive sitter!”

“Ike had another great stay with Lisa. She sent me updates throughout the weekend with pictures of Ike playing with his friends. I recommend Lisa and we will be booking again with her very soon.”

About: Hi, we're Faith and Rusty. Rusty is a senior corgi-retriever mix that loves naps and rolling in the grass. We walk twice a day and enjoy living near plenty of trails and a big park. He is dog-friendly and would love some company. We're open to hosting for dogs, animals in enclosures, and animals that may be harder to find care for. I have a lot of personal experience with animals from pets to exotics, so we would love to host your loved one. I am fully available. I can also add on weekend activities such as a local hike or taking them to a prepaid grooming appointment for an additional fee. I have an aging dog that takes medication and requires accommodation for seperation anxiety, so I am familiar with meeting special needs or adjustments in care. I do not crate pets unless advised due to behavioral concerns, and the pet must be crate trained. For animals that live in enclosures such as rabbits or guinea pigs, I will keep them on a desk or in my room with periods of playtime out of the enclosure as directed by their guardian.
“Susan is so thoughtful and attentive. It was our first time leaving our boys with her and she did a great job with her communication with us and care of our pugs. We will use her again!”

“Holly sent pictures and updates of how Jaxson was doing. She was super easy to coordinate a meet and greet ahead of time so Jaxson and her dog could meet also. I'm sure Jaxson and Millie had a great time running around their fenced yard together. Highly recommend!”

“Kelti and Tanner took the best care of our Zelda girl! They endured her excessive cuddling and made sure to send fun pics for updates while we were gone. We will definitely bring Zelda back to visit again next time we have to be away from home!”

“Our dog Scout didn’t want to come home after spending a week with Amanda. We all love her, and feel confident that not only did Amanda keep Scout safe, they had a LOT of fun together. 100% will be setting up play dates and sleepovers for Scout and Amanda again!”

“Meeting Shauna and her family was like finding long lost friends!! I’m not so sure Howard ever wanted to come home!! We will definitely be able to look forward to more trips knowing my favorite “boy” has a new home away from home!”

“We love Sandi! Treats our dog as if it were her own. She was so attentive to Stella's needs. If you want a great sitter Sandi will give your pet the best love and care.”

“Madison took great care of my girl! She sent me daily updates and photos and responded promptly whenever I reached out. She treated her as if she were her own and I would definitely trust her to watch my baby again!”

“Excellent stay with Jennifer and Robert! Very friendly, easy to communicate with, and felt comfortable leaving Willow with them. I will definitely be using them again.”

“Abbie was amazing! From the time we did our meet-and-greet, we knew her home would be a great fit for Kobe. She sent pictures and videos throughout the weekend. Kobe had a blast playing with her dogs! She was also very accommodating to a modified pickup time after we experienced flight delays. We will definitely be booking again!”

“Elisheba was wonderful with my dog. She gave me daily updates on how she was doing and sent me fun pictures of the adventures they had while I was gone. I highly recommend her as a sitter for your pet as she has a true love for animals and she will welcome them into her home and take care of them as if it was her own pet.”

“I needed a place to board my dog for a night while my husband and I went to a wedding. Our dog has been to standard daycare facilities but isn't fond of being left alone so we didn't like the idea of her staying in a kennel. Alison was really accommodating and assured us that our sweet girl would get plenty of attention and play time with her own dogs, which is perfect because our girl loves to make friends. We were afraid that she'd have trouble settling in because she's very attached to us, but we were put at ease when Alison sent a picture of our girl sleeping on a comfy couch. They also made sure she had her allergy meds and food. This is exactly the environment and attention our dog needs to be comfortable being away from us for a bit. Thank you so much for watching her!”

The median cost per night for pet boarding in Cheviot is $40
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cheviot
Like so many dog parents lost in the nerve wracking process of leaving your dog with someone new, we landed on Tonia. We scoured the listings and we made the RIGHT choice. She was very welcoming. We had a great meet and greet so Gus could meet her dogs and explore her space. Her house is very dog friendly and the yard is spacious and shaded. She was great at communicating and sending pics as well. Drop off and pick up was a snap. If you’re on the fence, jump on over and meet her. I would recommend to a friend and family and I would definitely use her again.

Leann is my go to sitter for my pup for almost about a year now and she’s been heaven sent to my family and I. She’s been so reliable whenever we need her, she answers the call. By far the best sitter I’ve ever had. She’s a great communicator, and expert of my dogs temperaments that really gives me a peace of mind when I’m away. I always know my pup is in good hands with Leann!

I can not recomment Stephanie enough. She takes such good care of our dogs and they LOVE her. We recently went on a long vacation and she had our pups for almost two weeks. One of the dogs got sick while they were there and she contacted me right away and wound up having to take her to the vet as there might have been some serious concerns. Stephanie is very knowledgable and knew what to do and what to look for. Long story short she took care of my Willow and she is fine. I am just extremely grateful that Stephanie is someone we can trust to care and love our dogs when we are away. I highly recommend her!!! Thank you Stephanie!!

Libby and her delightful little Boston Terrier, Bela were the perfect fit for my high maintenance Shih Tzu, Cosmo. Libby was careful to ensure that Cosmo had everything he needed for what seems to have been an exciting and enjoyable visit. We are looking forward to visiting them again soon.

Max just spent two weeks with Sarah and Jared and I can't recommend them enough! Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay; I always received quick responses and loved the regular picture updates. They have a fantastic, big backyard where Max got plenty of exercise and playtime. It was so heartening to hear that Max bonded with their dog and that their kids treated him like part of the family. Leaving a pet for two weeks can be stressful, but knowing Max was in such a loving, active environment made my trip much more enjoyable. Max came home happy and tuckered out from all the fun. We will definitely be back!

Words cannot describe how wonderful Molly did with Gus! Molly was always responsive, sending tons of pictures and updates. Molly went above and beyond, as on the second day when Gus got a little sick, Molly was there to do anything and everything for him. I would 100% use Molly in the future when I am out of town for work again! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my boy!

Erin was amazing! We have an anxious boy and she was so gentle and let him acclimate on his own time. We received lots of pictures and updates on what he was doing throughout the day! Erin even made him a doggie friendly Thanksgiving dinner which was above and beyond!! Highly recommend her for your fur babies!

Madelaine took care of my four male cats for six days, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Each of my boys has a different personality, and she handled them all with patience and confidence. I didn’t have any special instructions, but she still made sure everyone was comfortable and settled. Her communication was excellent — she sent daily updates and photos, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Her home is clean, safe, and very cat-friendly. I would absolutely book with Madelaine again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and truly cat-savvy sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
