She sent daily pictures and filled out his report card every day, so I was never worried about how he was doing. I came home to a very relaxed and happy cat, so I know he gives her his seal of approval, too. She also came through for me and was able to add an extra last minute visit when my flight home got delayed and I wouldn't be home in time for his evening medicine. Highly recommend!!”

Helped me with Vet visits when I'm stuck at work. I even call her when I think my dog is sick because she is knowledgeable of the typical things that go on with animals such as an abscess tooth or a tick on my dog. “I searched high and low for someone reputable to care for my German shepherd/mastiff over the Christmas holiday. And then I found Karen! OMG, what a wonderful lady she is! I dropped Ellie off for a 15 day stay while I went home to the UK to visit family. I usually leave Ellie with my in-laws, but being Christmas it was not possible. Karen and her family went out of their way to ensure that Ellie was comfortable, exercised and extremely spoilt!! I received regular emails on how she was doing, pictures of her curled up with Sam (Karen's dog)and even a video of her galloping around in the snow! About: The past 2 summers, I have worked as a veterinary assistant at an Animal Hospital, and plan on going to veterinary school in the future. At an animal hospital, I had the opportunity to work with dogs and cats of varying temperaments, health needs, and ages, from puppies/kittens to seniors. I have experience in animal restraint, and am familiar with the basics of veterinary first aid. Additionally, I have taken care of my family dog, who is now 6 years old, since she was a puppy. My freshman year, I dog-sat for about 6 months daily for a family friend when their dog was a puppy. I have also sat for another family in my neighborhood, who has 2 older dogs and a cat, so I have experience with both types of animals. My responsibilities with these jobs including taking the pets out for walks, feeding them, and playing with them. Generally, I am extremely flexible with scheduling. I am available all day MWF, and usually Saturday morning/afternoon, and Sundays. Tuesdays I am available after 2:30, and Thursdays am available after 5:30 as I have class those days. I am very flexible to your needs, as I have previous experience not only as a pet sitter but in a veterinary medicine setting with animals. I will do my best to keep your pet happy whatever that may look like! In my own home, responsibilities include walking my dog, feeding her, and of course giving her lots of love!
