“My Border-Aussie (7.5 yrs old) stayed with Kimmy, Jesse and Tycho for 5 nights and 6 days (while I was 400 miles away with my kids). How can I describe their care? Heroic. Yes, heroic. My pup had not stayed at Rover or away from family in about 3 years - and had always had a great time at Rover hosts. This time he apparently decided to express separation anxiety with loss of use of rear legs and bowels for two days! Kimmy and Jesse were sending photos and text every few hours while I tried to get a mobile vet there (they don’t do emergencies it turns out). But we started to reason that all didn’t make sense based on timing! They got a lifting harness and diapers and were on full time watch. But I most regret the anxiety and worry they went through. By day 3 he was up and about and day 5 and 6 having a grand old time. Conclusion? Border Drama - yup it’s a thing. He does have some intermittent weakness in right rear leg but this was a true performance which they handled with so much compassion toward Jango and grace toward me. I literally do not know any friends or neighbors who could have handled situation better or who I could have trusted more. I’ve owned Border Collies for over 25 years and this was a new one even for me! They are exceptional folks who genuinely love dogs and are a blessing. They even took a photo they gave to me of Jango with the caption “Best Drama King” lol. Thku Kimmy, Jesse and Tycho!”
“Micheal clearly really likes dogs! He took good care of Nimbus over the holidays. It was easy to arrange drop off and pick up times and Michael helped Nimbus get settled in right away. He provided photos and videos during the stay. I would book with Michael again.”

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life (at one point we had 5 at time!) love taking them for long walks, teaching them new tricks like weave (and handstand!), and engaging their minds with agility. My senior dog recently passed and while I am not ready to get a new dog just yet, I miss having a dog so want to occasionally dog sit to help others out with their dogs before getting another dog of my own. I work full time but occasionally work from home. For this reason, Thursday to Sunday or Monday is best for me. I am active and love going on walks, hikes, and runs in and around the beautiful Portola Valley neighborhood. I love to hang on the couch and snuggle in the evenings! Dogs (non shedding) allowed on the bed :) My large backyard is fenced. My husband Dave and I often are asked by friends to help train their dogs because we love to help and are good at it! :)

We have never used Rover for doggie boarding before, thus we were a little nervous about the whole process. But Michael was awesome. I cannot recommend Tillana enough! She recently took care of our dogs, and the level of service was absolutely outstanding. One of our dogs needed regular medication, and she handled it flawlessly, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. We loved receiving her regular updates and photos—it really showed how much she genuinely cares about the animals in her custody. To top it all off, she even reached out a day after the dogs came home just to check in and see how they were settling back in. We will definitely be back. Manli is incredibly responsive and always great to communicate with. We can go on vacation completely worry-free knowing that Baloo is in such good hands. We also love getting the adorable photo updates, Baloo is always smiling, and it's clear he's having a great time.
Wonderful host and incredible attention to detail with routines, feeding, and instructions. Ying kept us updated every day, her dog Charlie was wonderful with our puppy. The house and yard were clean, safe, and exactly what you want for your dog. Can’t recommend her enough!!
Margarita took very good care of Buddy and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout his stay, which we really appreciated! It was nice to see how he was doing and know he was being well cared for. We would gladly trust her with Buddy again in the future.
Mel and his family took excellent care of our pup. From daily walks and lots of time playing outside to introducing him to other kids, it was clear he was getting plenty of attention and socialization. Mel was also incredibly communicative, sending prompt updates along with great pictures and videos throughout the stay. It made us feel completely at ease knowing our pup was in such good hands. We’d absolutely recommend Mel to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.
Kelly was amazing! She was incredibly friendly and took the time to meet with us since it was our first time using Rover. She was very responsive, communicated clearly, and made the entire process easy and reassuring. We felt completely comfortable leaving our Golden Retriever in her care. We highly recommend Kelly and will definitely use her again in the future!
My dog Moxie loved her one night of boarding with Jesse and Kimmy. She absolutely loved playing with their dog and the two other dogs that were also staying over. I really missed Moxie, so I was really grateful that Jesse and Kimmy sent me lots of pictures and videos to update me on how she was doing. When I came to pick her up, they even gave me a little baggie with some dog treats and a little Polaroid picture of her! 10/10 would drop Moxie off for a slumber party again.
My baby girl had a great time at Anam’s place. My baby girl is turning 12 this year and is a cancer survivor. She can not climb stairs and needs medical attention. Anam did a great job making sure she is taken great care of. Anam’s dog is such a sweetheart and they got along really really well.
Ahmyah took care of my 8- year Golden Retriever (Basin) while I was attending meetings at Stanford for a few days. Its clear she really loves dogs. She sent me cute videos of Basin on campus having a great time! I would love for Basin to stay with Ahmyah again when we are back at Stanford.
