“Finding Margaret was a god send! We have a reactive dog who isn't always friendly and finding people who can handle a dog like that is not always easy. After searching through hundreds of Rover profiles I finally found Margaret and I'm so glad I did! We had a lovely phone chat about Max and his behaviors as well as the style of training/handling we prefer (she is familiar with and willing to work with all sorts of styles). After our chat we setup a meet and greet and Max did so well with her from the get go - not even a peep out of him when they met! He quickly bonded with her and was more than happy to work with her right off the bat. She even had him meet some of her dogs (which he handled well too!). It was clear Margaret knew exactly what she was doing and had the confidence to put Max (and me!) at ease. After the meet and greet we setup an overnight boarding session to really see how Max would do - and it went so well! Margaret was incredibly communicative and gave us updates as she slowly introduced Max to her other dogs, took him on walks, and just generally kept us informed how he was handling his new environment. I was extremely impressed with how smoothly everything went and I felt so comfortable knowing Max was in good hands. I would absolutely recommend Margaret for any sort of "special needs" dogs in a heartbeat! Your dog is in safe and caring hands.”

Margaret and her partner John were wonderful - especially as my first Rover booking. Both are personable and genuinely care about the dogs they look after. From the start, Margaret was incredibly communicative and sent updates throughout the stay that were detailed and reassuring. My rescue dog is fearful of new people and environments, especially men, so I was nervous - but Margaret immediately understood he needed patience and time. When I picked him up after just a 2-day stay, he was wagging his tail while John was petting him on the head. During the meet and greet, Margaret was thorough and did a thoughtful, controlled introduction with her dogs. It’s also worth mentioning that Margaret has rescue dogs of her own, so it’s clear she has experience caring for dogs who may need some extra support. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in capable and compassionate hands.
Crystal did such a great job with taking care of our Sherlock - we felt really confident after the meet and greet a couple of weeks earlier that he would be well taken care of, and Crystal was highly responsive during the time of his stay, especially when we needed some flexibility as our travel plans changed. We are so happy to have such an awesome family live nearby and are looking forward to having Sherlock stay again soon! Thanks Crystal and Family!
Daisy had the best time staying at Fang’s house. Fang took excellent care of our senior dog and my husband and I were able to go on our weekend trip without worrying at all. She sent frequent updates and photos and we really appreciated how attentive she was to Daisy’s needs. We will definitely be reaching out to Fang again when we need a dog sitter in the near future.
Anam did a great job watching Mylo! He almost didn't want to leave :). She gave him lots of love and attention and was very responsive in terms of her communication with us while we were away. She also took great pictures of our little bear that made us happy to see! I would definitely recommend Anam to anyone!
Jesse and Kimmy did a wonderful job taking care of our golden retriever for the weekend ! We are so thankful and so impressed with their responsiveness, attentiveness to all details, organization and commitment to make our dog feel happy and at home. Scout was able to follow all his home routines, and got plenty of play time and plenty of belly rubs! Jessica is truly amazing and left me fully at ease leaving Howie in her care. She is a sweet, kind and caring person and genuinely cared for my dog beyond expectation! I could tell Howie felt comfortable with her from the get go, and could tell even more that he was getting attached by the end of my trip. Howie would love to see Jessica again in the future ❤️
Once again, Bethany has come through for Paco and loved him as he was her own. Had to go on an emergency travel for a funeral and she happily accepted the short notice. While my dog is currently special needs, no task was too big for Beth to handle. I look forward to booking her more frequently.
This is the second time Ahmyah has looked after my labrador. When we turned up to Ahmyah's place, my dog sat waiting and watching the door, waiting to see Ahmyah again! So I think our dog was a happy customer, and glad to be back with Ahmyah. As with our previous stay, Ahmyah took great care of my dog when we went away for a few nights, and there were no issues. We will definitely seek out Ahmyah's help in the future.
