About: I have always had a pet dog and ever since I was a teenager, I’d dog-sit for family and neighbors. Since college, I’ve been pet-sitting ajd dog walking on a more professional level. I’ve babysat for a few hours, simply for a walk, but have also watched multiple high energy dogs for up to two weeks. I’ve cared for dogs under a year old and up to 13 years old. I’ve always loved dogs and find them very easy to get along with and care for no matter their size, age, or personality. I have also cared for kittens a few weeks old, senior cats, administering medication orally, grooming them if they have long hair etc. Cats have a very different energy than dogs but I enjoy taking care of them just as much as dogs. I am currently in between jobs so I have a lot of free time to care for other dogs, whether it is a short walk or a multi-hour play date, etc. I always follow whatever guidance I am provided by pet parents. This means if you are only comfortable with your dog on a leash or lead while in your yard, I strictly follow that. If there are specific commands to use, certain behavior to watch out for or discourage, particular toys or activities they enjoy, I always follow what information I am given and am always open and communicate well about any issues or concerns that might arise on my end.

About: I have done both walking and house sitting for family and neighbors for five years, and have worked with and am comfortable handling both large and small dogs. I grew up owning dogs, including a shitzu mix, a poodle mix, and a shelter girl of unknown breed. While all but one of the dogs I have owned were under 20 pounds, most of my history in pet sitting has been with has been with dogs in the 30-70 pound range, including labs, huskies, and a pit bull mix as my most frequent clients. I have experience with owning a fear reactive dog, but my comfort with taking care of them will be on a case by case basis. I also have experience with training young dogs for crating, potty training, and leash training I am currently exclusively self employed and have a flexible schedule with my income sources, so I am available most days and times of the week At this time I am only able to provide care in my clients home, I am unable to provide boarding due to limited space in my house I will work with owners to maintain your pets normal schedule, including feeding and walks. I am comfortable crating and using alternate feeders or feeding styles as needed Dogs will never be outside unattended, and will be kept on leash or in fenced in yards unless the owner specifically requests that I do otherwise. Cats will not be taken outside for any reason unless requested by owners. All animals will receive a significant amount of play and/or pet time during each visit, assuming the animal is comfortable with and enjoying it For drop ins, I will provide at least one update per visit including pictures. For continuous house sitting, as my standard I will provide at least three updates per day (morning, mid day, and afternoon/evening) with at least one photo per update. “We had a family emergency and had to find some to housesit with our 3 dogs at very short notice. The sitter we had used in the past was not available and we then stumbled on Rachel's profile. One thing I liked was that she had so many positive reviews that were very recent. So many reviews on here are several years old, so you don't know how committed some of the people are. One of our dogs has some special needs and needs more care than normal dogs and we are always concerned about how people will cope. Anyway, my wife met Rachel 2 days before we were leaving town to go over the instructions for our pups and she was totally impressed, so we booked her. Rachel turned up on the day at the time she said she would and stayed for four days. I received frequent updates and Rachel answered my texts pretty quickly. My neighbor also said she saw Rachel out walking our dogs at least a couple of times a day. When I got home the house was as tidy as we left it and the pups were happy. Rachel also managed with the issues our one dogs has without any issues. We would definitely not hesitate to use Rachel again.”

About: As a certified and insured pet sitter I am qualified to care for a variety of pets. I am a calm and nurturing which helps me to gain animals' trust. I have had a lot of experience with shy or feral cats. As a pet owner of a severely asthmatic cat, I am adept at giving medications, such as pills and inhalers. I am a special education teacher and am off for the summer. I am also available after school and on weekends to do visits or pet sitting. About: I have been taking care of dogs almost my whole life, and finally decided to branch out and get more clients on my roster. I am a nineteen year old college student studying to become a music teacher, and I have two small dogs of my own. I have experience with large dogs, medium dogs, tiny dogs- you name it! I’ve worked with puppies to seniors. I can’t wait to help take care of your furry friends! I’m currently attending community college in Enfield during the week (except Friday’s) and spend the weekends with my parents and my sister in their summer home. When I’m not in class, I am taking care of my dogs by doing things like feeding them, brushing their teeth, brushing my long haired dog, and any other needs they might require. I have experience in dog training which includes basic commands, resource guarding, and crating. My female cocker spaniel was fully trained by me, and my male dog knows a few tricks.
