About: I have always had a pet dog and ever since I was a teenager, I’d dog-sit for family and neighbors. Since college, I’ve been pet-sitting ajd dog walking on a more professional level. I’ve babysat for a few hours, simply for a walk, but have also watched multiple high energy dogs for up to two weeks. I’ve cared for dogs under a year old and up to 13 years old. I’ve always loved dogs and find them very easy to get along with and care for no matter their size, age, or personality. I have also cared for kittens a few weeks old, senior cats, administering medication orally, grooming them if they have long hair etc. Cats have a very different energy than dogs but I enjoy taking care of them just as much as dogs. I am currently in between jobs so I have a lot of free time to care for other dogs, whether it is a short walk or a multi-hour play date, etc. I always follow whatever guidance I am provided by pet parents. This means if you are only comfortable with your dog on a leash or lead while in your yard, I strictly follow that. If there are specific commands to use, certain behavior to watch out for or discourage, particular toys or activities they enjoy, I always follow what information I am given and am always open and communicate well about any issues or concerns that might arise on my end.

About: I have done both walking and house sitting for family and neighbors for five years, and have worked with and am comfortable handling both large and small dogs. I grew up owning dogs, including a shitzu mix, a poodle mix, and a shelter girl of unknown breed. While all but one of the dogs I have owned were under 20 pounds, most of my history in pet sitting has been with has been with dogs in the 30-70 pound range, including labs, huskies, and a pit bull mix as my most frequent clients. I have experience with owning a fear reactive dog, but my comfort with taking care of them will be on a case by case basis. I also have experience with training young dogs for crating, potty training, and leash training I am currently exclusively self employed and have a flexible schedule with my income sources, so I am available most days and times of the week At this time I am only able to provide care in my clients home, I am unable to provide boarding due to limited space in my house I will work with owners to maintain your pets normal schedule, including feeding and walks. I am comfortable crating and using alternate feeders or feeding styles as needed Dogs will never be outside unattended, and will be kept on leash or in fenced in yards unless the owner specifically requests that I do otherwise. Cats will not be taken outside for any reason unless requested by owners. All animals will receive a significant amount of play and/or pet time during each visit, assuming the animal is comfortable with and enjoying it For drop ins, I will provide at least one update per visit including pictures. For continuous house sitting, as my standard I will provide at least three updates per day (morning, mid day, and afternoon/evening) with at least one photo per update. If you would like more or less updates, just let me know and I am fully willing to work with you to get you the amount of contact desired

“I was terrified to use a service. I have two rescue dogs who have had a tough life and don’t always listen PLUS three sphinx cats who are high energy, require a lot of attention, and are my entire life. Brooke and Mike came over for our initial meet and greet and ended up spending nearly two hours getting to know me and my animals. They were patient, empathetic, and answered all of my questions MORE than once. When it was time for my trip, Brooke was super communicative- she checked in to make sure my work trip was going well, she sent regular updates and pictures, and she was just generally so available and nice and supportive. I never in a million years would’ve thought “everything is gonna be fine”. It was more than fine. Brooke stayed over two nights while I was traveling for work and the house is EXACTLY in the same state I left it. I mean she even did her own dishes. My own kid doesn’t even do that when she house sits. I know this is long and rambly but honestly I was terrified going into this. “I’m gonna let a stranger stay over at my house??” I can’t stress enough how relieved and grateful I am to Brooke (and Mike). My animals acted like I hadn’t even been gone (and that’s saying a lot considering how clingy they are and how they typically act like I died and suddenly appeared back in their lives by some witchcraft if I’m gone for an afternoon). Brooke cared for my pets and my house like it was her own. I can’t wait to explore going on a real life vacation now that I’m not terrified of taking this step anymore.
