“We had Chris come do an in-home stay for the first time with our reactive pitbull and he crushed it! Reactive dogs are not the easiest to find sitters for and Chris was very accommodating with setting up a meet and great before hand and had even done his own research ahead of time to make sure he was knowledgeable before going through the introduction process. Our dog warmed up to him right away and she was able to immediately identify him as a safe person since he was so calm and easy going with her. When it came time for him to stay, all that was needed was a quick reminder and they were best buds for the rest of the weekend. He quickly learns her quirks. He sent daily pictures and updates. Then when we returned, our mail was stacked on the counter and the house was very neat, just as we left it, which is always appreciated when someone stays in your home. During the introduction stage he even requested to be shown where our cleaning supplies were and when our trash gets taken out. Chris was not only an excellent dog sitter, but a great house sitter as well! We are frequent travelers and will definitely be continuing to use Chris.”

“Jessica was really great with our boys! They’re new to us and we didn’t know what to expect with a sitter but needed to attend a memorial today with short notice and reached out to Jessica just a couple days ago. This was really helpful to familiarize everyone in advance and a big help to us to see how well our boys got along with “human puppies” - worked out so great! About: I have always had a pet dog and ever since I was a teenager, I’d dog-sit for family and neighbors. Since college, I’ve been pet-sitting ajd dog walking on a more professional level. I’ve babysat for a few hours, simply for a walk, but have also watched multiple high energy dogs for up to two weeks. I’ve cared for dogs under a year old and up to 13 years old. I’ve always loved dogs and find them very easy to get along with and care for no matter their size, age, or personality. I have also cared for kittens a few weeks old, senior cats, administering medication orally, grooming them if they have long hair etc. Cats have a very different energy than dogs but I enjoy taking care of them just as much as dogs. I am currently in between jobs so I have a lot of free time to care for other dogs, whether it is a short walk or a multi-hour play date, etc. I always follow whatever guidance I am provided by pet parents. This means if you are only comfortable with your dog on a leash or lead while in your yard, I strictly follow that. If there are specific commands to use, certain behavior to watch out for or discourage, particular toys or activities they enjoy, I always follow what information I am given and am always open and communicate well about any issues or concerns that might arise on my end.

About: I’ve taken care of many pets over the years. I’ve done both drop-ins for walking and feeding, as well as house sitting to provide enrichment and company. Every animal that I’ve met has liked me, even if their owner says they’re normally shy around new people, which I take as the highest compliment. I’ve administered medication, and the safety and wellbeing of the pet is my top priority. I respect any boundaries that the animal displays, whether it’s distance or petting, and I make sure to ask for any special routines or needs up front to make sure I can take care of them to the best of my ability. I work full time during the week while also being a full time online student, but I’m available to stop in before 8:45am and after 6:30pm. Weekends are usually open for drop-ins or house sitting. If there are any baby gates or areas restricted to the pets, I make sure to keep an eye on that. I wipe paws after being outside to keep the house clean, and if your pet needs company while they eat, I’ll absolutely sit with them.

“I was terrified to use a service. I have two rescue dogs who have had a tough life and don’t always listen PLUS three sphinx cats who are high energy, require a lot of attention, and are my entire life. Brooke and Mike came over for our initial meet and greet and ended up spending nearly two hours getting to know me and my animals. They were patient, empathetic, and answered all of my questions MORE than once. When it was time for my trip, Brooke was super communicative- she checked in to make sure my work trip was going well, she sent regular updates and pictures, and she was just generally so available and nice and supportive. I never in a million years would’ve thought “everything is gonna be fine”. It was more than fine. Brooke stayed over two nights while I was traveling for work and the house is EXACTLY in the same state I left it. I mean she even did her own dishes. My own kid doesn’t even do that when she house sits. I know this is long and rambly but honestly I was terrified going into this. “I’m gonna let a stranger stay over at my house??” I can’t stress enough how relieved and grateful I am to Brooke (and Mike). My animals acted like I hadn’t even been gone (and that’s saying a lot considering how clingy they are and how they typically act like I died and suddenly appeared back in their lives by some witchcraft if I’m gone for an afternoon). Brooke cared for my pets and my house like it was her own. I can’t wait to explore going on a real life vacation now that I’m not terrified of taking this step anymore. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. For anyone still doubting or questioning things (or for anyone new to the app in general), I’m more than happy to be a reference!
