Sophie has been lovely to work with and has been super sweet with Boomer. He is a larger and sometimes nervous pup but she seemed to have easily won him over! She sent detailed notes and pictures which helped me feel more comfortable with the time I spent away with him. We will be using Sophie regularly many times in the future and I am sure Boomer already looks forward to her visits!

Melissa was extremely professional, responded quickly and came through in a pinch. She went above and beyond to help me out with my dog and ai would use her again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, my work circumstances changed so what I thought would be an on-going service with her turned out to only be needed once. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!

About: Dogs are my full-time career and lifelong passion. I specialize in creating low-stress, individualized care using Fear Free and positive reinforcement methods, with a special interest in fearful, reactive, and special-needs dogs. My experience includes: * Fear Free Boarding & Daycare: 6-hour course and exam covering canine body language, facility design, safe dog interactions and play, positive reinforcement training, behavior, physical health and wellness, and medication administration to minimize fear, anxiety, and stress. * Victoria Stilwell Academy Dog Training Fundamentals graduate (positive reinforcement). * American Red Cross Pet First Aid & CPR Certified. * 3+ years volunteering with Dakin Humane Society, specializing in fearful, reactive, and behaviorally complex dogs. * Assisting with positive reinforcement group classes at Tails U Win. * 5 Years of fostering rescue dogs. * Experienced in training, enrichment, behavior modification, wellness monitoring, and medication administration, including oral medications and injections. * Specialized experience working with deaf dogs using visual communication and American Sign Language (ASL). I also share my life with a deaf, reactive special-needs dog who has earned her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title and participates in agility, Fast CAT, Happy Ratters, and other dog sports. * Licensed wildlife rehabilitator, providing medical care and rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife. * Dedicated to caring for one family at a time, allowing every dog to receive individualized attention in a calm, low-stress environment. Pet care is my full-time profession, so my schedule revolves entirely around the dogs in my care. I typically care for only one family at a time, allowing me to provide personalized routines, enrichment, exercise, and constant supervision. I want every dog to feel at home, so I do not use kennels, pens, or crates unless you request it or it's necessary for your dog's safety. I also sleep in the dog care building overnight, so your dog can receive companionship and attentive care 24/7. Your dog's safety, comfort, and emotional well-being are my highest priorities. Because of this, I care for one family's dog(s) at a time, unless otherwise discussed, which allows for us to create a calm, low-stress environment without unfamiliar dogs. Dogs stay with me in a dedicated, professionally designed, climate-controlled dog care building with heating, air conditioning, and continuous Wi-Fi and cellular temperature monitoring. Outside, they enjoy a fully fenced 2-acre yard with secure 5-foot fencing, dog-safe vegetation for natural enrichment, shaded rest areas, play structures, agility equipment, and supervised swimming in a 700-gallon chemical-free dog pool (owner approval needed). Every stay includes individualized enrichment, toys, and treats tailored to your dog's preferences, routine, and any dietary needs, allergies, or sensitivities.

About: I’ve had my own dog, Lily, for 12 years—she’s been with me since she was just 2 months old. Caring for her throughout every stage of life has given me hands on experience with everything from puppy training to adult dog care. I genuinely love dogs and feel comfortable with their different needs and personalities. In addition to caring for my own dog, I’ve also dog sat for several families in my neighborhood. I’m now looking to continue dog sitting over the summer before starting my career as a Physician Assistant in the fall. I’m excited to provide reliable, attentive, and loving care for every dog I look after. This summer I am only working in the morning on Saturdays and afternoon on Sundays, making my schedule free and flexible for your pet’s needs! I am expected to start my full time job in September, but I am happy to continue dog sitting for you when time allows : ) I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walking routines, crate use, and any special needs or medications. I understand that every dog is different and has individualized needs, and I am happy to help them in whatever way I can. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and routines. I also provide regular updates and photos, so owners feel confident their pet is safe and happy while they’re away.

About: I've had a passion for caring for animals ever since I can remember. I would often pet sit for friends and family and I quickly learned I wanted to spend my life working with animals. Fast forward to the present, I am a full-time pet sitter that keeps a special place in my heart for each and every four-legged friend I've been able to care for! Pet care is my full-time job, so your pet is my top priority! I am available every weekday, weekends, and most holidays. I am available for overnight stays and drop-in visits. Overnight stays allow your pet to have someone there all day and all night to get the love they need while you can't be there; and drop-in visits allow your pet to get the care they need at the times they are used to at a frequency you pick. Feel at ease knowing your pet is in the comfort of their own home able to carry out their normal routine- whatever feeding, potty, and walk times your furry friend is used to.

About: I’ve grown up taking care of many household pets (dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, etc) I’ve taken care fully of my own kitties for the last 3 years and I’ve been walking/sitting my parents puppies since they were 8weeks old(they are now 6months old) I currently work part time, Sunday-Thursday for 5 hours a day. So I will have lots of free time to come walk and play with your fur babies! And I’m available pretty much every weekend, any time. I absolutely love caring for any and all household pets and will always make sure your baby is well taken care of and follow any safety instructions needed.

About: I’ve had a pup (a Pitbull mix!) for about 7 years now which has been the best. I’ve gone through crate and potty training with him as a pup and later behavior training to curb some challenging behaviors. This makes me super flexible with providing commands of all levels and maintaining training progress. Friends and family have asked me to look after their pets, of all sizes, breeds, and ages. I’ve comfortable with giving medications, feeding, bathing, walking, and maintains training skills as needed. I try to be as flexible as I can to the dog’s needs and preferences (as well as the owners!). I’m currently a full-time graduate student, working part time, and other responsibilities but I'm home for summer break! Due to that, my schedule is pretty open right now with some limitations during the later afternoon and early evenings. I can try to make whatever times work, just message me! :) I definitely let the pet warm up to me, just to establish that comfort and safety within the pet. I can crate the pet if needed, either for sleep or for feeding. I definitely want them to be comfortable in their own spaces so I’m pretty open to doing what I can to make that happen!

Erin was great with my dog Willow. At the meet and greet she was professional and personable. Willow has a little trouble with meeting strangers for the first time and Erin handled it perfectly. Willow warmed up to her on the first walk and adapted to Willow’s initial shyness by feeding her from under our side table by the couch where she likes to hide. She took excellent photos and kept me informed. I highly recommend Erin.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
