Could Paula get any better? It’s impossible. In two visits she has our crazy puppy minding on leash and exhausted for the remainder of the day. Paula even helped source some strategic training in our immediate area. We are feeling blessed to know Paula and appreciate her patience and loving persistence with sweet, crazy Sophie!

Liz was very responsive and the dogs seemed to love her! It was a last minute request too, with less than 48 hour notice and she was great about it.

I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so stepping out to let your pets out or to visit them is no issue! About: Lifelong animal lover with 7+ years caring for my own 2 dogs, along trusted experience with friends and family’s pets. I make sure your pet feels loved, comfortable, and cared for at all times. I’m currently working part-time, so I have a lot of availability throughout the week. I love morning walks because they get me up to start my day while also being active. As well as mid-day and evening walks allow me to take a break from any tasks and get outside in the sun while having some fun! Whether I’m visiting your home or walking your pup, my goal is to keep them happy, safe, and comfortable. For walks, I make they get plenty of fresh air, exercise, a potty break, and time to sniff and explore while keeping a close eye. During home visits, I’ll refresh their water, feed them, give potty breaks and spend quality time. I’ll also follow any instructions you leave for me and always treat your home with respect.

About: I’ve had my own dog, Lily, for 12 years—she’s been with me since she was just 2 months old. Caring for her throughout every stage of life has given me hands on experience with everything from puppy training to adult dog care. I genuinely love dogs and feel comfortable with their different needs and personalities. In addition to caring for my own dog, I’ve also dog sat for several families in my neighborhood. I’m now looking to continue dog sitting over the summer before starting my career as a Physician Assistant in the fall. I’m excited to provide reliable, attentive, and loving care for every dog I look after. This summer I am only working in the morning on Saturdays and afternoon on Sundays, making my schedule free and flexible for your pet’s needs! I am expected to start my full time job in September, but I am happy to continue dog sitting for you when time allows : ) I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walking routines, crate use, and any special needs or medications. I understand that every dog is different and has individualized needs, and I am happy to help them in whatever way I can. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and routines. I also provide regular updates and photos, so owners feel confident their pet is safe and happy while they’re away.

Melissa was extremely professional, responded quickly and came through in a pinch. She went above and beyond to help me out with my dog and ai would use her again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, my work circumstances changed so what I thought would be an on-going service with her turned out to only be needed once. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!

About: I have experience with all kinds of dogs of all sizes. I have owned 3 pitbulls so I for sure know how to handle dogs that size. I also have a park near my house that is very discrete where the dogs can come roam around. It is fenced and barely anyone ever goes to. I used to bring my dogs over there when I had them. I am available full time if needed. I work from home. I can do pick up & drop as well. Please let me know, it would be my pleasure! I care for the dog as if they are my own. I know animals can become family, just as mine have became family. I will go accordingly to your dogs schedules and make sure they have the best care.

About: I've had a passion for caring for animals ever since I can remember. I would often pet sit for friends and family and I quickly learned I wanted to spend my life working with animals. Fast forward to the present, I am a full-time pet sitter that keeps a special place in my heart for each and every four-legged friend I've been able to care for! Pet care is my full-time job, so your pet is my top priority! I am available every weekday, weekends, and most holidays. I am available for overnight stays and drop-in visits. Overnight stays allow your pet to have someone there all day and all night to get the love they need while you can't be there; and drop-in visits allow your pet to get the care they need at the times they are used to at a frequency you pick. Feel at ease knowing your pet is in the comfort of their own home able to carry out their normal routine- whatever feeding, potty, and walk times your furry friend is used to.

  • 99% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
