About: Throughout middle & high school, I have volunteered at my local animal shelter and I loved walking and feeding the dogs! While I’ve only ever had cats, I have pet-sitted dogs for my friends and family on overnights and gone on many walks. I’m currently a full-time grad student but with a fixed class schedule. I am currently fully available on weekends and most evenings on weekdays. I do not offer boarding in my apartment as it is against my building policy, but as for pet-sitting in your home, I am always very respectful and communicative.

From babyhood to senior-aged animals, I've been through every sort of situation with a diverse set of pets so I know what to look out for and how to care for your loved ones! That includes: pottysitting, specified meal times, gentle grooming, bathing, going on walks and playtime, and going for vet visits and even the occasional surgery or administering medicine. You name it, I probably have experience! I currently work four days a week with some freelancing, so I can definitely focus on your pet, giving them the time and effort they need to be fully given attention to. I am both very attentive and independent, able to be 100% caregiving without overstepping my role. I am a hands-on learner, which means I care for any animal on a case-by-case basis. I know that every pet has their own personality so much like people, I give them the space to show me how they would like to be taken care of. For my own pets, I have always given them space to play and learn on their terms, letting them come to me with what they want and need but also making sure they are given plenty of attention. I love going on walks with dogs and know how to guide them when encountering other people and/or dogs while on them.

Daouda did an amazing job caring for our 2 cats while we were out of town! One cat was in a cone while we were gone after having some surgery and the other is on several pills and liquid medication, so caring for them wasn’t the easiest, but Daouda had no problems handling all of it. One of our cats can also be super shy but warmed up to him right away, and both looked very happy in all the photos we received. Even more telling was how relaxed and happy the cats were when we got home. Normally they are very clingy after we’ve been gone and have some residual separation anxiety, but they didn’t have any after this trip. Daouda also brought in an extremely large and heavy package that arrived for us while we were gone so we didn’t have to worry about it sitting outside until we got back, and that was super helpful. We are looking forward to booking him again and recommend him to anyone else looking for a pet sitter!
