About: I grew up with always having at least one dog and several cats at the same time, so I am used to a little pet chaos! Currently a cat mom to 3 cats, and am a self-proclaimed cat whisperer. I know it can be anxious leaving your pet at home while you are away, and promise to take care of your pets as if they are my own. I currently work Mondays thru Thursdays 9-5 but am very flexible before or after work to care for your pets. I do work from home on Fridays, and am available most weekends. My 3 cats are indoor only cats, so I am very aware and vigilant of keeping pets safe in their environments. Since they are indoor only, I have gotten very creative with activities to keep cats stimulated and active.
“Maria's support was absolutely instrumental in us being able to take care of Henry. She began her drop-in visits when he was 8 weeks old and could only be left alone for very short periods of time. Maria was wonderful in her care and constant communication (she always sent the funniest photos of him). We can't imagine how we'd have juggled our busy careers and puppy care schedule without her help. We've shared our rave reviews with neighbors who also have dog care needs. Maria, thank you for all that you've done to take care Henry, you're definitely one of his favorite humans!”

“Joy was an excellent! She was very thorough, conscientious, and we had no hesitation to leave our furry friends in her care. Her attention to detail is amazing. We would be happy to have her take care of Levi and Lucky anytime.”

“I was very comfortable leaving my pup with Madison. She seemed to really care and understand my dog’s anxiety issues and really paid attention to them. She was also very communicative about how my pup was doing which made me feel a lot better about being away. Would definitely recommend and am definitely going to book again the future!”

“Ryan is great with our dog Wylder. He drops in over the weekend and takes him for walks/potty breaks. He sends photos of him playing and info on what they did. Wylder definitely seems happier and calmer since Ryan has been dropping in.”

“First time using Rover and I am so happy. The local pet sitting company in the area has NOTHING on Sarah and Rover. Sarah took great care of my three cats including an elderly cat that has to be given medicine and has bowel issues. I loved seeing the photos each day and the cats seemed to look forward to her visits. Highly recommend Sarah and will definitely use her services in the future.”

“Eryn was fantastic! Very communicative and handled a small change with no issues. Timely notices and great photos to let us know how our dog was doing. I wouldn’t hesitate to have her look after our animals and would encourage you to consider her for your needs. Thanks!”

“Gabriyela was awesome with my pup! She was punctual and went the extra mile with him. She followed directions and i can tell Saint really liked her! Look forward to booking her again.”

“Morgan was a wonderful sitter. Always communicated with status updates and a summary of her visit with our pets. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that’s looking for a sitter and will be requesting her services again when in need.”

“Cameron was wonderfull. She was very professional and I could tell she loves animals. I didn't have to worry, she sent updates and photos every day. I would love to use her again ! Thank you 😊”
“Yasmin was wonderful and went above and beyond for our dog on her drop in visits. Especially appreciated the before hand meeting and all the photos updating us about her visits. Would recommend her and have her care for our dog in the future.”

“Sarah was fantastic! She did twice-daily drop-in visits for my three cats while I was out of the country for two weeks, including giving one of them medication twice a day. She communicated daily with updates and photos, which really put me at ease. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and a tidy space. I felt very comfortable with her and would definitely book again. Highly recommend!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Embry Hills
Faith did a fabulous job taking care of our pets while we were on vacation. She was super responsive to texts, sent us photos at every visit and followed all instructions, which are a little complicated since we have 4 pets, two of which are elderly. We will definitely book with Faith again in the future. Thanks again, Faith!

I was able to do a meet and greet session with Cameron and my cats. She was great to coordinate with and very responsive. Plus, my cats loved her! My very anxious cat immediately came out to say hi and wanted pets nonstop from her (usually he can be found hiding under the bed for hours when strangers come over). I feel very comfortable with her taking care of my cats. Looking forward to booking her in the future!

Eryn was fantastic and took excellent care of our four cats!! She managed medications perfectly, left detailed updates with lots of photos of each of our babies, and took great care of our home, even going above and beyond when we had a mishap with our door lock not working. We had peace of mind throughout our trip and I would absolutely book Eryn again!

Madison is amazing! My cats fell in love with her during the visit to introduce them to each other and learn their care routine. She gave me great updates and wonderful photos while I was gone, making me feel so comfortable and happy that my cats were getting so much love and attention while I was away!

Kezia took care of my kitties better than my own mother! She accepted a last minute Memorial Day weekend booking after my sitter fell through. The boys were in. Edu good spirits by the time we came home. I’m so grateful for her and the way she loved on my babies like they were her own!

Nethra was amazing! I needed someone last minute, and she responded very quickly and was incredibly helpful. She was so sweet with my cat during her drop-in visits and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I’ll definitely rebook with nethra again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Embry Hills. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
