About: I have had my dog for over 9 years. She is very good with others. I have a fenced in backyard, and a doggy door of the screened porch. When we are home during the day in good temperatures, the door to the house will be open giving dogs the freedom of where they want to relax or play. I am currently a stay at home Mom to my wonderful twins therefore I have a pretty flexible schedule I can work around, especially if it avoids the kids naps. I have a fenced in backyard that is connected to the house via a screened in porch so there are many options of where to hang out. At night everyone is inside.

Katelyn provided phenomenal care for my 5 year old golden retriever named Scooby, with updates and photos of Scooby during his stay. Katelyn has a great property with a fenced in yard that allowed my dog to play off leash with her friendly pups. Her family was loving towards my dog and I look forward to connecting with them again for further dog sitting experiences.

She was very communicative as well and sent many photos, which was much appreciated. I definitely recommend Kelsey to care for your pets while you are away!

Diamond was absolutely amazing with our dog, and we truly could not have asked for a better sitter. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in loving, caring, and responsible hands. She went above and beyond with updates, attention, and genuine care, and it was clear our dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. What really stood out was her kindness, patience, and professionalism. She treated our dog like family, and that means everything to us. Coming home to a happy, relaxed pup says it all. We are beyond grateful for Diamond and would trust her again in a heartbeat. If you are looking for someone dependable, compassionate, and truly wonderful with animals, Diamond is the one. We would absolutely love to book with her again in the future!

About: I have been surrounded by animals since I was little. I had cats at home and started horseback riding when I was six. Now, I am living in New Hampshire for 3 years, with my husband, our two dogs, our cat... only our mare stayed in France. I do not work, so I am available to take care of your pets. I can groom them, administer medicine (with clear instructions), walk them or just cuddle them. I may be out 4 hours max for my english lessons. We moved to the United States for my husband's job; I don't work, so I would be delighted to look after your babies as if they were my own. I take English classes twice a week in the morning, but I am completely free the rest of the time. At my home, your dogs will be treated just like mine, with access to the garden and unlimited playtime and naps. Introductions to my own dogs will be handled gently—especially with Flack, who can take a little time to warm up but is used to meeting plenty of doggy friends back in France. At your home, I will follow your instructions; since my English isn't perfect yet, please feel free to leave written notes.

Sheila provided lots of pics and videos and truly loves her dog guests. She was very accommodating to Bessas needs and did everything to make sure she was happy and and felt at home. I can’t wait for Bessa to visit again.

Ashley was communicative, shared videos, and took Lady on multiple great adventures a day. We were visiting from out of town and needed a sitter for only part of the trip - felt so lucky to find Ashley, she runs an impressive operation. I know Lady had a great time because when we came to pick her up, she wanted to hang out around Ashley’s house and tried to play with her duck instead of being all emotional and running to the car like she otherwise would x)

Ashley is a very kind hearted person who cared for our Wheaten very well. It was Tillie's first time away after having been attacked by two other dogs and she was quite nervous and hesitant to engage with Ashley's show dogs. Ashley could not have been more patient and supportive with Tillie. She also worked with Tillie on walks to dramatically reduce her pulling. I would recommend Ashley highly.

Our dog stayed with Colleen for a week while we were on vacation. This was our first time leaving him for that long, and Colleen made us feel comfortable each day, with detailed updates and photos. Colleen went above and beyond to make adjustments specific to Cooper’s need for recharge time. Cooper loves it at Colleen’s house and was happy and calm when we picked him up. Thank you Colleen!❤️

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Eliot home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
