We take feild trips, to the forest, to go swimming, to go to open feilds for a romp and stomp I keep them busy. I'm here with the dogs this is what I do this is my job. I'll be grooming, training, working in the yard, taking the dogs on a trip it's what I offer. I will be walking your dog on long walks if they want to do so however i know not every dog is fit to walk for long and i will pick up on that and we can do some laps around the house instead. The dogs won't ever be board or feel lonely! I can do some basic obedience training if that interests you as well. I can work with the person on which days are needed and see how how it fits into my daily activities. I am quite flexible and willing to work with all walks of life as well as work around time commitments.

Sleep in the home, if not potty trained they will be crated as that is unhygienic for other dogs staying here that are well mannered. I have a fenced yard, I FEED SEPARATE!!!! I do not take my eyes off boarded pets as you never know what mischief they can get into. I won't allow them to get into any food/rocks,salt water etc. on the ground if out walking. There are other dogs here NO MEAN DOGS ALLOWED! playing rough is fine I am talking no dog aggressive dogs here. I will take what the owner says they want done and run with that,I do not break boundaries with peoples pets at all. They will have an entire finished basement with mats, music and food and water, as well as a yard, Sun Porch and heaps of walking if they wish or rest animal depending. This is a ADVENTURE BNB FOR DOGS!!!!

Please no fleas, the dog cannot have fleas we all know how much is available to us these days for controlling those pesty bugs and they must come with some treatment on them or otherwise you will be spreading it to others dogs and we all know Fleas lead to TAPE WORMS!!!! Rabies Distemper and basic Puppy shots are needed please Other friendly dogs do stay here. I keep it clean,it runs very smoothly and it's very safe for all kinds of kinds. Big, small, active,old and slow. Whatever the dog it is welcome if it enjoys the company of others. The nights are quiet the days are fun. My repeat boarding dogs love coming back here. That is my goal!!!
A typical day
Wooded walks on a leash or off leash depending how many times the animal has boarded with me, toy time if they are toy motivated, lick mats and homemade treats! I have a fence spot for them if they need some private space they will have it. I have music as well as resting area for napping also . I take photos and videos of them as well. WE STAY VERY ACTIVE! IF your dog is older they will have ample resting time. If your dog is not into much adventures that is fine they can be leashed and walk with me while others have fun.

Looking for a pet sitting lady? I have 33 years in Show Handling-Training dogs PLEASE FIND ME ON Facebook under Shadowhill Homestead and Dog B&B!!! for tons of photos/videos! I also offer Grooming/Training/Small numbers Adventure Daycare. All dogs Puppies, Golden Oldies, Intact are welcome here! Yes I do allow multiple dogs to stay here. All are temperament tested on meet and greets. From the nervous nellies to the extroverted wiggle butts, I have taken a role in hosting dogs my entire life as my mother runs a full time operation in NC, Thus how i grew up adoring animals. I Grew up working and handling show dogs. I still own show dogs and actively compete. I have worked with and assisted in training Bite dogs, Show dogs,Therapy dogs and Agility. Giving Medications while either pill form or though shots I have done this with even the most bossy of horses and dogs alike. I offer daily adventures with the dogs, I have a fenced yard, I will crate if required or requested. If you dog pees or poops within the home yes they will have to be crated at night during their stay, Its a sanitation issue as Im sure you can understand. I give many outings a TON! Last outing is 9pm unless its a baby puppy of course. Some dogs love a crate otherwise they will have their bed and sleep about though the evening. I am super active so if your animal loves walks I am a perfect fit, even in the winter time we will leash up and stroll about on the woodland trails. While petting sitting in my home I will listen to you on how you care for your pet and i will strongly duplicate that. I come flea, tick, and worm free!!!! I take cleanliness seriously here to make sure your animal is returned well and healthy. Yes bitches in heat are welcome mother nature happens you cant help that. I have ample space to adjust for. I can and will keep dogs away from other dogs if this is desired by the owner. Every animal is a Adventure and I am always learning and growing as I meet them.

Ashley was great with our Aussie. She’s very knowledgeable about dogs and in tune with their temperament and needs. Our dog had a great time hiking and swimming and playing. I’d definitely bring him back again!!
Ashley was amazing with my Daisy. It was my first time leaving her since she was adopted. I was pretty nervous. Ashley sent me updates and pictures photos, and was great about texting me back. 5 Stars! We will definitely be back.
Prompt reply to my last minute boarding request. Moxie enjoyed her walk down to the water. Conveniently located near Route 95 too.
