She has been watching my two English bulldogs, Winston and Bentley, for over a year now whenever I travel, and she is hands-down the best dog sitter I’ve ever had. From the moment we met her, both boys were instantly smitten. Now, every single time I ask, “Do you want to go see Ashley?!” they lose their minds with excitement—tails wagging, happy snores, the full bulldog drama. That alone tells me everything I need to know about how much they love her. Ashley creates such a safe, fun, and loving environment. She’s incredibly responsible with their medications (a few daily meds and eye drops), follows all instructions to the letter, and sends the best photo and video updates while I’m away so I never have to worry. About: Kristine and Eric have loved and had animals our entire life. I have always helped care for pets, even as a child. Eric was raised on a farm, caring for many different kinds of animals- waking up before dawn to ensure that all animals were properly cared for and had what they needed for the day whether it be rain, shine, snow, sleet, hot, or cold. We, together, have two dogs. They are both around 10 years old and are rescues. We also have 6 chickens. Our home has a door from the downstairs to the upstairs. When dogs are home during the day and if left alone for 1 hour or so they stay downstairs with access to water, comfy couches, and dog bed areas. When we are home they have free run of the home. We also have a crate for dogs that may need a private, safe space. We have a back yard that our dog enjoys playing in, but just so you know it is not fenced in, therefore dogs remain leashed when in the back yard. We do have a deck that is closed off in the backyard where dogs can be left unleashed to hang out, but always supervised when out there. We also have a 15 year old daughter who loves animals. She assists with the care of our dogs and we have fostered a few dogs in the past from various shelters and she is always eager to assist with making these dogs feel comfortable and give them love. She volunteers at a local animal shelter with small mammals and takes care of the chickens I work full time during the school year for a school district. Eric works from home. Eric takes dogs for a number of walks per day including walks to the local dog park (Rogers Park) and to local beaches for exercise and socialization. I am home by 3:30 pm and bring my dogs (and other dogs) for exercise either running, hiking, or walking. In the summer I am mostly around. I also grew up with cats and with both have experience with cats and providing meds to cats, including insulin shots. I work full time and Eric works part to full time but we can walk dogs in the evening and walk dogs throughout the day on the weekends. I have summers off as I work in a school. I will not be offering care in my home, but am excited to take care of your pet and walk your dog and take your dog on adventures.

My dog can initially be a little timid as she gets comfortable, but Ashley didn't hesitate to get her involved. She took her hiking up Mt Major with the pack, had her out and about exploring, and even went trail running with her. You can tell Ashley's very experienced with all kinds of dogs. She's calm and in control of all the dogs at all times. They all respond immediately to her. She also sends videos and photos daily of all their adventures (the videos are the best!). About: Without exception, the dog park is always one of the best parts of my day. I've had three dogs of my own, and have been around countless other dogs, most of whom instantly become my new best friends. We just gravitate to each other, hence the fuzzy friend whisperer nickname. I have a playful, loving attitude toward every dog I meet. I am also sensitive to dogs who need a little more patience and space to ease into trusting me and respect the boundaries that they need to do that. My training style with my own dogs is focused on positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This approach translates to other dogs as well, unless their owners request differently. Your dog will be in caring, responsible hands with me. They will be loved. Vogel Emergency Vet just opened right across the street from our house, so if anything kind of emergency pops up, your baby will be a hop, skip and a jump away from the care they need. I'm self employed and work mostly from home so my schedule is quite flexible. Sometimes I’ll have drop in visits throughout the day, but if your dog is boarding with me, there will generally be someone else at home with them. They’ll rarely, if ever be left alone. I live on a small farm but also live near a road, so your dog will always be safely on a leash when we go outside for potty breaks. I have a very friendly 12 year old 45lb labradoodle named Huck to keep your baby company in the rare cases that I'm not at home. I have a "squirrel observatory" (bird feeder) right near my workspace so your dog will not only be supervised most of the time but also entertained.
About: I’m a newly retired teacher and former principal that loves my doggies! Over the years, I’ve had so much love from my very special friends. Would love to give and get some loves from your treasured family member. I literally live in the middle of Stratham Hill Park and I love to walk. Only one “little guy” at a time…🥰 I’m loving my retirement and have lots of time and love to give. I have some scheduled exercise classes in the mornings but always home by 10:30. I’ve had so many dogs over the years. Routine visits to the vet are mandatory and walking, playing, and interacting with my friends are essential. I’m also very familiar with dogs with anxiety. One needs to approach this in a calm and careful way and watch the signs for anxiety coming on and be able to respond with love and kindness. Living right in the middle of Stratham Hill Park, I have easy access to the walking trails. Because I don’t know your dog, they will never be off leash but will be outside often during the day!! I love to walk. 🥰 I have a lovely crate IF your dog prefers this quiet space, but I will not be crating unless you ask me to. Typically my 11 year old grandson will come by after school to snuggle, play and go for a walk with me and your pup!

She’s incredibly responsible with their medications (a few daily meds and eye drops), follows all instructions to the letter, and sends the best photo and video updates while I’m away so I never have to worry. She genuinely spends time with them—lots of play, cuddles, and supervised fun with her other well-mannered boarding dogs. When I pick them up, they’re happily exhausted from all the playtime and come home with that perfect “I had the best vacation” bulldog grin. I trust Ashley 100% with my fur kids and feel so lucky to have found her. If you’re looking for someone who will love and care for your dogs like they’re her own, look no further. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and cared for family and friends dogs for a very long time. Love having dogs in my life they bring so much joy. Everyday they make me laugh. Love to play fetch and walking trails. I have a two year old grandchild two days a week so dogs must be very friendly and like children. I will be available to start in home doggie day care on Sept 28th. I have two labs of my own. They are very friendly and will love to play with your dog inside a roomy home and fenced in yard.
