About: I'm an animal lover and have grown up with all types of animals. I have been trusted taking care of neighbors, friends, and families pets for many years. My sister is a veterinarian so I often get the pet questions. I will go above and beyond for your pet. I work from home Monday and Tuesday so I am free to go for walks and drop by your house most of the time these days. I am in the office Wednesday through Friday and will have less time but still available. Weekends are free unless I'm away. I live on an acre of land. It is not a fully fenced yard but it is set back in a small, quiet neighborhood on a dead end road. I have an indoor cat.

Beth took fantastic care of our two standard poodles. Her backyard was poodle heaven. One of our spoods is pretty needy, and has some anxiety, but I didn’t worry for one moment knowing she was in Beth’s capable hands. Thank you Beth!

I cannot speak more highly of Eric and his sweet family! They kept my dog while I had a week long work event in Boston, and they took fantastic care of her. They sent me regular photos and they promptly answered any nervous mama questions I sent their way. We were worried about her getting spooked by the fireworks over the holiday weekend, and Eric and his fam took lots of precaution to make sure she was safe and happy. The pups that live with them are sweet and they got along great with my dog. I will be booking with them again if we're ever in the area!

Kelsey was very accommodating of my dog Nemo, who isn't always a fan of other dogs, so she made sure he was the only dog staying with her at the time! She was very communicative as well and sent many photos, which was much appreciated. I definitely recommend Kelsey to care for your pets while you are away!

My dog was in the best care with Katelyn. He was pampered and treated just like part of her family. Not only did he have the freedom to run in their large fenced in yard, he was allowed to swim in the pool. I was very appreciative of the videos and photos throughout his stay which clearly showed he had a wonderful time. I will be a repeat customer in the future.

About: I was notorious for bringing home stray animals as a child, my parents weren’t a big fan. My heart couldn’t take a animal being on its own. Once I got to the age of working, I jumped right into house sitting animals. I’ve been doing it for 11 years. I’m currently working part time in the evenings and have most mornings free. My schedule is open for talking about what care is needed for your pet. Traveling to your home is best for me, I do not have a pet friendly house set up currently. The animal is always more comfortable in its own environment so I’ve found. I’m all about low stress environments for them.

Benji had a great time staying with Nicholas and his family. I know this because Nicholas sent me lots of pictures and I was able to see that Benji was very chill, enjoying tummy rubs, getting along well with Nicholas' other 3 dogs and finding his place to relax right under their desk (just like he does at home). Benji has a sensitive stomach and often doesn't eat for the first couple of days. When his appetite did pick up, Nicholas was careful to make sure that Benji ate only his special food and that kept his GI track working properly! On the day of our return, our pickup time had to be delayed because of a flight change, but this was not a problem at all for Nicholas. We will definitely reach out to Nicholas the next time that we have need for a pet sitter.

This was our first time boarding with Alyssa and her family. I could tell from our initial meet-and-greet that our golden would love his time with them -- and he did! During his stay, Alyssa checked in on things she wasn't sure about and sent pictures and videos of his walks, snuggles with family, and trips to parks. I could tell our boy was a happy camper! Being assured he was in good hands made it a lot easier to enjoy our time away. Highly recommend and would definitely rebook!

Mack and Dennis had their very first Rover sleep-away with James, and they were welcomed with open arms by his whole family. Everyone was so sweet and hospitable, and his little girl gave them plenty of cuddles, which they absolutely loved. James was incredibly easy to work with. He was responsive, flexible, and genuinely accommodating. I felt completely at ease knowing my boys were in such a warm, caring home. I would absolutely recommend James to anyone looking for a trustworthy, family-oriented sitter. We will happily book with him again.

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

90% of Kittery Point sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Kittery Point landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Kittery Point home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Kittery Point.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in ME ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
