“Amanda watched our dogs at our house while we were out of town for the week. We got tons of cute updates of happy dogs playing frisbee and hiking and tired on the couch after fun days. Great communication, happy pups, and house was left in perfect shape! We would definitely recommend Amanda for dog/house sitting.”

“Ayreal was thorough, attentive, communicated at every step and kept in touch throughout the whole process. She sent photos and updates and made sure all our fur babies were well taken care of. About: Hello fellow animal lovers! I grew up with both cats and dogs - over 20 years with both and I love them all. From a Shetland sheep dog to a Great Dane to lovely shelter mutts, I love getting to know pups' unique personalities. I also have a special talent for winning over standoffish cats - just give me a couple of days. About me - I'm and education and training professional working a hybrid job based out of Portland, Maine. From northern California originally, I love exploring the coast, traveling, reading, and sketching & painting (poorly - but no one says you have to be good at your hobbies!). I travel too much to have a pet of my own right now, so I hope you'll let me play with yours! I work a hybrid job, meaning my schedule allows for full-time with your pets Thursday evenings through Monday evenings (in the office Tuesday through Thursdays). I am happy to discuss specific needs and schedules with each client. I will do everything I can to provide safety and comfort for your pets while you are away. If you'd like any addition house care for your home (e.g., watering plants, picking up mail) please let me know! Outside of caring for your pets, I am open for general house sitting.

“Stephanie is super reliable and take extra good care to make my nervous dog feel comfortable. I get regular photo updates and can tell that my pup is in good hands.”

“Sergey was great! We hired him for house/dog sitting while we were away for a long weekend and he made it so easy for us. The dogs liked him, and he clearly gave them a lot of attention. When we came home the house was spotless. You would have had no idea someone had been staying there for 4 days. He was very easy to get ahold of, and followed up a few days before the booking to confirm and schedule a second meet & greet. Would absolutely recommend.”

“Madeline the best dogsitter I’ve ever had. My pup, Piglet, is slow to warm up and incredibly anxious and Madeline went above and beyond to meet Piglet on her terms and make her comfortable. They quickly became best friends. Madeline was super communicative with me, sending updates and pictures and you could tell she truly loved Piglet even though it was her first time watching her. She also did great at walking her, giving her meals twice a day and her complex array of medications. And she left my house cleaner and nicer than I left it for her. I cannot recommend Madeline enough.”

“Bret accepted our short notice booking and stopped by for a meet & greet before we headed out for a weekend trip, which was great. Our pets are currently pretty low maintenance but it was important for us to have someone stay the weekend while we had some R&R. We’d have Bret back on a future vacation.”

“Crystal watched my pup for a weekend when I took a last-minute trip out of town. She was communicative and sent pictures of my happy dog throughout the weekend, which made me feel so at ease. I came home to a relaxed dog and my apartment was even cleaner than when I left it! Would hire Crystal again.”

“I cannot recommend Ryan highly enough! Leaving my high-needs, anxious dog for a work trip is always a source of stress, but Ryan completely put my mind at ease. From our initial meet-and-greet, it was clear that Ryan is not only a true animal lover but also incredibly knowledgeable and patient. My dog requires a lot of extra attention and can be quite nervous with new people, but Ryan handled him with such a calm and confident demeanor. I received regular updates, including photos that showed my dog was not just being cared for, but was comfortable in Ryan's hands. This consistent communication was invaluable and allowed me to focus on my work knowing Oliver was okay. Ryan went above and beyond to alleviate his anxiety and let him have the space he need to feel comfortable. I returned home to a happy, relaxed dog, which is the best indicator of the excellent care he received. In addition, the house was spotless which is always nice to return home too. If you're looking for a pet sitter who is reliable, compassionate, and truly understands how to care for anxious or high-needs pets, Ryan is absolutely the one to choose.”

“Leea stayed at our house with our dog and parakeets. She took good care of them and of the house, and she sent us pictures to keep us posted. We hope to work with her again in the future. Thanks, Leea!”

About: Hello! I have been professionally working with animals for over 10 years. I have worked with a variety of species & breeds. I am originally from Pennsylvania where I first began my pet-sitting journey. I now live in Portland with my rescue cat named Onion! I have a packed schedule of weekly regulars but I would love to help out with extra housesitting or vacation visits! I have worked with pets of all breeds, sizes, ages, abilities, & temperaments! I have been trusted with animals for over 10 years & have created a great bond with all of my past clients (pet or human kind). I love to send frequent updates on your pet through text or email to help give peace of mind!

About: I bring a lifelong love of animals and a wide range of hands-on experience. I grew up caring for animals of all kinds, have walked dogs and supported adoptions in shelter environments, and have provided reliable in-home care through years of house sitting. I’ve also lived with and fostered cats for most of my life—including young, feral, and undersocialized ones—which has given me a strong intuition for reading animal behavior and offering calm, compassionate care. I'm skilled in administering all types of medications and am happy to handle the day-to-day tasks, from walks to litter box deep cleans, with real care and attention. As a self-employed person with a very flexible schedule, I’m able to accommodate pet care throughout the week—including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. This allows me to tailor my availability to meet the specific needs of each pet and household, whether it’s daily visits, drop-ins, or walks at off-peak hours. When boarding cats in my home, I provide a calm, private room just for them—completely separate from my own cats—to ensure they feel safe and stress-free during their stay. In a client’s home, I’m attentive to any specific routines or safety needs, including crating dogs if requested. I always prioritize a pet’s comfort and well-being, keeping their environment clean, secure, and aligned with what they're used to.

About: I've cared for dogs, cats, birds, fish, and gerbils. I grew up with many dogs in my household of all sizes and ages. I've cared for many cats as well, including spicy and shy cats. I am active and enjoy running and playing with dogs! As a part time job I teach pickleball clinics. I know the importance of being respectful and patient with animals, tuning into their needs and individual personalities. Vegetarian for the animals! After a successful IT career for 11+ years, I am now a student going back to school to get my master's in social work and have open availability for pet care throughout my week. I am very respectful of the needs of my clients, and make sure that their pet and home is well cared for! Communication is my strong suit and I will make sure to send photos and texts regarding care!

“Devyn was very kind and attentive to our dog Merle! Great communication and truly enjoyed being at our home on an island and taking care of him. She walked him and fed him and followed everything that we talked about before we left. I will definitely have her again and would recommend her any time to care of your dog! Definitely made everything stress free! Thank you!! Merci Devyn!! A la prochaine!!”

Star Sitter

“Katie is wonderful with our animals. We have used her services numerous times. She is extremely knowledgeable about animals, their care and their demeanor. Katie is very patient and also stays in constant communication, in case you have any questions or concerns about your fur babies. I would recommend her to everyone!”

Heather S.
“Heather is tremendous with animals. She not only loves all critters but is patient, attentive, and has an intuitive sense for animals’ body language, comforts and needs. At the local rescue they reserve the spiciest kittens for Heather to foster because they know after just a little time with her even the most feral and scared babies will have opened up and learned what a safe and trustworthy human feels like. I think any pet owner would be lucky to have Heather looking after their fluffy companion.”

East Deering pet parents share their Rover experiences
Alyson did a fabulous job with Riley while we were away! Often when we return from a trip he is anxious and upset, but upon our return from a weekend away he was his normal happy self and that is all thanks to Alyson! We feel comfortable leaving him in her care and so appreciate her communication, reliability, and love for the pets she cares for! Thank you Alyson!!

I would highly recommend Bryan to care for your pups. He took wonderful care of our terrier and standard poodle when we were away. He sent us updates, photos and videos as well as asked appropriate questions. He also left the house in great shape. Thank you, Bryan for taking such great care of our beloved pups. Ashley and Gus.

Shannon was wonderful! It was such a pleasure meeting her through this process. She was extremely responsible and made me feel so good about leaving my two dogs. when the dogs first met her, they took to her right away. During my vacation, I got periodic updates and pictures of the dogs, which was so appreciated. In addition, we asked Shannon to do just a couple things around the house like empty the dehumidifier (it was the hot summer months) and get the mail. She left our home very clean!! Pretty sure she vacuumed 😉 I would trust Shannon with my doggies and my home again…in a heartbeat!!

Kelsey took great care of our senior dog, Oona, who is seriously ill. And she won the trust of Finnie, our scaredy dog who hides under a bed most of the time. We are so grateful for Kelsey’s attention to detail (including Oona’s medical needs), her calm demeanor (big help to scaredy boy Finnie), and her genuine concern for our furry best friends.

Andrew was so thorough communicative through the whole process. Even with a last minute booking he was great start to finish. He kept us updated while we were away with how Mambo was adjusting and left the house in great shape when we returned. Definitely would book again!

I truly can't say enough good things about Heidi—she was absolutely amazing! From our very first meet and greet, I knew my dogs were in great hands. Throughout her stay, she went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Heidi is incredibly thorough, a fantastic communicator, and was completely on top of my dogs' needs. It was such a relief to know they were with someone so attentive and trustworthy. My dogs absolutely adored her—and so did we! We will definitely be having her back. Highly recommend!

10/10 recommend Lauren! She is communicative, punctual, sent adorable photos, and our anxious dog loves her! Riley requires a lot of special attention and she went above and beyond ensuring he was comfortable while we were away for the weekend. She also was a fabulous house guest and took great care of our home. We will definitely book Lauren again!

Lizzy has cared for my pups in my home on two occasions. One was a long weekend and the other was a full week. She did a wonderful job caring for my 13 yr old and six yr old dogs. My older pup is on a couple different meds on a daily basis and just so happened to need eye drops twice daily the entire week Lizzy was caring for her. Lizzy was unfazed when I told her about the eye drop situation. She confidently explained that it wouldn’t be a problem. Lizzy was communicative throughout her stay and reached out when there was a change in my older dog’s health presentation. She left my home in great shape - paying attention to leaving the space the way she found it. I recommend Lizzy as a dog sitter. I would definitely hire her again in the future.

I cannot recommend Ryan enough! She dog sat for my two fur babies and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Responsive, communicative, kind, respectful, and a calming force - the perfect care taker for my two high energy, very spoiled dogs. We look forward to booking her again soon!

This was the first time Alena stayed with our very energetic Boxer, Sofie, and everything went perfectly! Alena walked Sofie every day, played ball with her, and gave us daily brief updates including multiple pictures and/or videos while we were away which we so appreciated. We will definitely ask her to dog sit in the future!

Tara was wonderful! She took amazing care of our 18 month old puppy! She sent pictures with updates and Daisy always looked happy. She was cognizant of her schedule, routine, special diet and medical needs. I would be happy to be able to use her again in the future! As a bonus, she left the house spotless.
