About: I’ve worked at a pet store for over 2 years, and I’ve been a dog bather for about half a year. I’ve always had pets my whole life but i’ve learned so much about our fur babies in the past few years. It’s something that I can do on weekends nights, and on weekends depending on school and my work schedule. Im pretty open though on most nights! I have a fenced yard with a big german sheppard, and two black cats that roam the house. I am always with my animals to keep them company and keep up there needs.
About: Life is just better with animals and I love having them around! Overall, I have around 15 years of experience caring for pets through helping family, friends, and neighbors with pet sitting, check-ins, walks, feeding, and companionship in general. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is more of a passion and less like work to me. I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away, and I treat every animal with the same care and attention I would give my own. I also understand the stress of trying to find the perfect sitter when you’re going out of town as I, too, have gone through it many times. That’s another reason why I decided to finally get on Rover, so I could be the dependable and loving pet sitter that folks are looking for. I do have extensive experience with both younger pets and seniors (mostly dogs and cats) and of course have a special soft spot for the older fur babies who require a gentleness that I’m very used to giving. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or simply having someone reliable nearby, I’m happy to provide dependable and loving care you can feel confident about. Our pets have always been treated as part of our family and the second your fur baby is in my care (via a walk, sleepover, or check-in) they will be treated like family too. I work full time but have a wonderfully flexible schedule. Tuesdays and Thursdays I work from home so I get extra time to hang out with fur babies at my house and on the weekends I am also available! On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I get home from work between 4pm-5pm but can always leave earlier if need be. I love going on walks in the morning and at night (and during lunch time if I’m working from home) so if I had a pup with me and they like walks too, I’d love to add a companion to my walks!! I have a fenced in back yard and 1 indoor male cat named Pancake. My cat is very sweet (and neutered) and gets along great with other animals but we can absolutely separate if that would work best. I have no children so it’s just me, the cat, and my wonderful (animal loving) boyfriend of 9 years! We are about as stable as it gets lol. We have a couple empty bedrooms that your pet could stay in or be crated in if you prefer that they have some privacy and alone time (totally up to you but the option is there if they need quiet time). Overall though our home is pretty quiet and loving. No crazy noise - just two people and a cat who have lots of love to give other animals!
“Rachel provides weekly care for our dog and is always punctual. She provides excellent feedback, responds quickly, and is patient with our nervous dog, giving him the space and understanding he needs.”

“Brett was wonderful and very punctual. I have an extremely large dog and he handled him like a pro. They are best buddies now! Thank you, Brett for taking such good care of my big baby!”

“She's an awesome sitter for my 3 dogs, she has been coming here on time and done her duty by letting my dogs in the backyard for 3 days straight definitely will hire her again in the future. Very reliable.”

“Amanda was so sweet with our kitten and adult cat. She took great care of them, sent us lots of pictures and was so easy to work with. We will use her again in a heartbeat!”

“Bonnie was FANTASTIC. She went above and beyond, coming over to meet my cats before the booking to get to know them and their needs. She left marvelous long and detailed reviews, as well as lots of pictures, which made me feel assured that they were well taken care of. By the end of the week even my shy girl was seeking her out for pets and company, as Bonnie had really taken time to get to know her and how to make her feel comfy and safe! I cannot recommend her enough.”

“Holli did a great job of caring for our pets and home while we were gone. If she had a question she didn’t hesitate to ask for clarification. We will definitely be requesting her to watch our pets in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for as long as I can remember! Whether that be caring for my own pets, or being trusted with the animals of my friends and family! I have taken care of quite a few senior dogs and also have experience giving medications to both dogs and cats. I am home for summer break from college, so I have plenty of time to make new fur-friends! I enjoy going on walks throughout the day and enjoy spending my free time outside! I currently have open availability including weekends. I love caring for pets in the environment that makes them the most comfortable! Whether that be crating them overnight, playing with their favorite toy or finding that just right petting spot. I enjoy taking time to learn the small things that make your pet happiest!
“Suzanne was amazing she did everything I asked for my baby and she came on time, she was communicating with me the entire time and sending me pictures. Very good energy I trust her and would book her again in the future! :)”

“Bethany did such an amazing job! She was able to take our request last minute when our other sitter fell through and literally saved my birthday weekend. Her notes were thorough and I knew our babies were being well taken care of. 10/10 recommend!”

“Christina and her mom were great with our dog, Kiwi. Kiwi is a rescue that we have had for a couple of years. She loves my daughter and I dearly, and she is hesitant with other people. Christina and her mom had Kiwi convinced in no time that they were the best! I loved getting pics and status updates. Kiwi will ask for this duo again.”

“Bridget was a fantastic sitter! She is very knowledgeable and attentive to your pet’s needs (triggers, background, etc). She was kind and followed all instructions. Thank you, Bridget!”

About: Hi👋 I'm Jill. I grew up on a farm and have always been around dogs & cats. I currently have two cats of my own. They were both strays and came into my life at different times. I love interacting with all types of animals. Since I can't have a dog of my own yet due to living situations, I would love to take care of yours! My sister and brother in-law have two dogs that I watch when they go out of town. One is a bigger 70 lbs Australian Shepard and the other is a smaller 10 lbs toy poodle. I hope to bring peace of mind to you and happiness & excitement to your pets. I work full time, but am available anytime on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays most weeks. 6 a.m. is the earliest I'm available and 10:30 p.m. is the latest. Availability breakdown: Sundays- Before 11 a.m. after 5:30 p.m. Mondays- After 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays- 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. (Anytime) Wednesdays- After 3:30 p.m. Thursdays- 6 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. (Anytime) Fridays- Before 8:45 a.m. after 7:30 p.m. Saturdays- 6 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. (Anytime) My two cats are grazers so they get fed twice a day and eat when they get hungry. They have a water fountain that circulates the water to mimick a stream. They seem to enjoy moving water better than still standing in a bowl. When I watch my sister & brother in-laws dogs I take them for walks twice a day and we play & cuddle. I work on tricks with them too. I normally use their dry food as treats if we work on tricks for a while.
“Elizabeth was wonderful!! Did a drop in for our pup while we were at work. She gave lots of updates, sent pictures, and even brought a package inside! We will be using her again. Thank you Elizabeth!!☺️”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Earth City. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
