“Lots of communication and updates, Mango got along well with their dog, Sable, as well. Daycare card was very informative and everything was taken care of for Mango. Would highly recommend.”
“Julie was a life saver! We were stood up by our original sitter, and she took Yuna in last minute. It felt reassuring to leave Yuna with her. Even though it was just for the afternoon, it seemed she got along with Julie's dogs and was exercised enough to have her sleep all throughout our road trip back home! Also kept us updated with pictures which was great.”

About: My experience includes caring for cats and doggies, including pups, with a variety of personalities and energy levels. Super comfortable following detailed care instructions, maintaining feeding and medication schedules when needed, managing puppy potty breaks and exercise, and providing the same attention (and cuddles) for kitties. I prioritize safety, consistency, and positive interactions to ensure pets feel well cared for! I currently work remotely and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to do drop ins when needed as well as at home care/boarding attentively. I also live with my partner who can offer a second set of eyes in the afternoons and evenings! As part of our normal routine to stay active, my partner and I regularly like to step out for sun and take brief walks around the community area—so unless specified otherwise, we are happy to take your doggo along with us on our short walks (during boarding services). We have a two bedroom apartment where pets can roam and hang out in the common living space and guest room, as needed. Pets will not be allowed in our primary bedroom.
“My pup did daycare with Raini for 2 days. Everything went great and he was a happy pup! She has a great fenced in backyard for dogs and she sent lots of pictures and videos. This was our first experience using Rover and it was a good one.”

“Kasey has taken such wonderful care of Xena. She even provides pictures and updates throughout the day, which is so helpful for keeping tabs on how my senior girl is doing and eating. Xena loves playing with Jolene and hanging out in the backyard, and gets to come home stress-free and tired from a good day of lower energy and much safer fun than a big daycare. Thank you, Kasey!”

“Pickup and droppoff was easy. From the beginning she handled Ace with care. Once we got home he laid down which is great because I asked if she could get some of his energy out and she definitely did. She also kept me updated throughout the day which I did appreciate. Will definitely be booking again.”

“Wonderful sitter - Melanie took the time to do a meet and greet ahead of time to make sure the booking was a good fit for everyone. Very attentive and kept me updated with pictures and videos throughout the day. My Obi had a great time!”

“Summer has great communication and care for dogs! We had a rather last minute day care request and she was quick to schedule a meet and greet and helped make sure our dog was comfortable while at their home despite his being nervous. Provided us updates throughout the day. We look forward to booking with her again!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have owned and cared for dogs every step of the way. After saying goodbye to my own beloved dog of 12 years about a year and a half ago, I’m not quite ready for another full-time pet, but I love spending time with dogs and regularly care for friends’ and family’s pups. I also grew up around horses, where I learned responsibility, animal behavior, and basic first aid and medical care. My home is a quiet, one-story ranch with a fully fenced backyard, no other pets, and plenty of space for dogs to relax and play. I work from home two days a week and am committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment with lots of attention, updates, and affection so you can feel confident while you’re away. I have a consistent weekly routine and work in the office Monday–Wednesday and from home Thursday–Friday. My schedule is predictable, which helps dogs settle in and feel comfortable. While I occasionally have weekend plans, I plan my schedule around my bookings and make sure the pets in my care receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a quiet, one-story home with a fully fenced backyard and no other pets, allowing me to provide individualized care and attention. I can easily limit access to different areas of the house if needed, creating a safe environment for dogs with different personalities or energy levels. I’ll follow your routines and instructions closely and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pup is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Kristin was our first Rover dog sitter. We were traveling and had two day-long engagements that we needed pet care for. We feel so lucky that we found someone calm, safe, and caring. Tango seemed relaxed and happy after picking her up each days”

About: Your pets deserve a safe, enriching, and loving environment while you’re away. I have completed extensive education in professional pet care through the Fear Free® program and the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), with training focused on canine behavior, safe group play, boarding and daycare management, health monitoring, enrichment, and handling dogs of all personalities. As the owner of an insured LLC with years of hands-on experience, I prioritize every dog’s physical safety, emotional well-being, and individual needs. Whether your dog is energetic or prefers a slower pace, I tailor each day to help them feel comfortable, confident, and happy. If you’re looking for someone who is active, dependable, and truly passionate about dogs, you’ve found the right person. Every stay includes walks, engaging games, mental enrichment, and positive reinforcement-based interactions designed to keep your dog both physically exercised and mentally stimulated. I treat every dog as if they were my own, providing the love, patience, and attention they deserve. Pet sitting is my full-time career, so caring for dogs is my daily routine—not something I fit in around another job. My days are dedicated to providing consistent care, exercise, enrichment, and plenty of love and attention to every dog in my care. I customize my care based on each dog’s personality, routine, and needs. After working at a dog daycare, I learned that I strongly prefer small, carefully managed groups over large daycare environments. Smaller groups allow for closer supervision, less stress, and a safer, healthier experience for every dog. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I treat them like family. We enjoy walks, playtime, enrichment activities, rest, and plenty of affection throughout the day. I also reinforce good manners using positive reinforcement, helping dogs build confidence while having fun. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment where your dog feels comfortable, happy, and cared for as if they were my own.
“Misty and John were very kind to my girls. They were understanding when the one had a stress "incident" immediately upon arrival and they clearly made an effort to help ease her anxiety through the day (she's a total baby and anxious attachment type so new people and places take time for her to adapt to). I am eager to see if my girls grow comfortable enough to use them pretty regularly.”

About: I had a dog growing up (Hershey) and helped take care of him. And I have always enjoyed playing with friends' and family's dogs. I absolutely love walking and being outside and would love canine companions to encourage me to do it more! I've hosted one friend's dog at my place already (see pics; that's Georgia sleeping on her little doggy mat in my living room). Overall, lifelong love of dogs + good head on my shoulders = strong instinct for what they need and when. I work from home, and other than a few set calls, I set my own schedule. And I work from a treadmill desk — so when I say I love walking, I mean it! I take frequent breaks to get sunshine and exercise outdoors, so you can expect your dog to get the same! I can keep an eye on your dogs the entire time I have them! I have a fenced-in, upstairs deck (with a staircase that can be easily blocked). And a backyard that is NOT fenced, but where I could tie a leash around one of the deck supports, so your dog can be outdoors as much as they want! Inside, I have a fully hard, vinyl floor upstairs and a carpeted area downstairs, with vinyl flooring in the downstairs kitchen as well. So whichever surface your dog likes to sit on, I can accommodate!
“Lauren was ABSOLUTELY great with King! He took to her right away and after the Meet and Greet, I was comfortable and convinced that King would be well looked after, and he was. Lauren is very attentive which is great since my fur baby is a Senior dog. You will not be disappointed if you book with her! Thanks Lauren!”

Audrey and her husband were so sweet!! Our puppy is very high energy but they took great care of her and she was so worn out when we got her back. Audrey updated me with pictures throughout the day and walked her as well. Thank you for taking such great care of our baby! We will definitely reach out again if we need care 🫶🏼

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Earth City commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
