About: I have always loved dogs. My husband and I adopted a beagle 5 years ago and we have just loved every minute of it. We go on daily walks, have plenty of toys and dog puzzles. I currently work from home and will have plenty of time to monitor and play with your dogs. My Beagle Tommy is also dog friendly. We go outside frequently and supervise outside playtime. I have a friendly beagle who loves to play hard and nap hard too. We allow dogs on the furniture and work from home. We do not crate dogs even when leaving the home.

“Francie was fantastic, plenty of playtime and outside time for my little Gía with other small pups. She was flexible with pickup times and took great care of my little girl. Will definitely use her services again. Thanks, Francie!”

“Ursula was fantastic. She communicated very well with us during Marley's stay at her home. We really appreciated her care for our little dog when we were in Tucson for a brief stay.”

“I’m so grateful to have found Kristin!! I’ve been bringing my boy to her for a few days a week for daycare for the pst two weeks and he has so much fun with her and his other friends! He comes home happy and tired, so I know he’s being well taken care of. I highly highly recommend her to anyone that needs any sort of service for their babies!!”

“I am very pleased Truess met us at the door greeted us with a well warm welcome we chatted for a minute she sent me pictures throughout the day telling me how Sasha was doing. It was a wonderful experience. We will definitely see her again soon. Thank you so much for caring for our baby.”

“Summer and her husband are amazing!!!! My baby loves them so much. We has a meet and greet before the 1st visit. Summer kept us informing and updating regularly which gave us peace of mind. Summer is so kind, thoughtful and patient with my baby. Highly recommend and definitely rebook again and again!”

About: I’ve worked at Banfield pet hospital in different states, expanding my knowledge of different species from different regions. My grandmother owned a grooming business when I was a little rascal, which allowed me to be around fluffy friends all day. I work a typical day shift so my home is up and active by 6:30am every weekday and we’re on a walk before I head off to work. Evenings consist of walks before and after dinner. I allow animals to roam home as a part of their natural curiosity. I’ll have very deep conversations with my furry friends because I know for a fact they understand me, just as I do them. I enjoy walking around the neighborhood and, on average, I bike 10 miles a day to stay in top shape.
About: In-home insured training, boarding, and daycare business with 10+ years of professional experience with dogs, from working at a shelter, fostering dogs, vet tech experience, training in a commercial kennel, and running my own training business. I am home most days full time, however some days I leave for 2-3 hours for private training clients, in that time all dogs are kenneled or otherwise contained for safety. The dogs have over a quarter acre fenced in yard to enjoy. I do regular activities, enrichment, and occasional field trips to ensure your pup has a vacation as great as your's while you're gone. All my time is dedicated to caring for, playing with, and hanging out with the dogs. I utilize gates and different rooms to separate dogs out to ensure that they are paired up not just as dogs who tolerates one another, but as dogs who truly enjoy one another's company and thrive together. I require all dogs be crate trained for safety at night, meals, and when I have private training clients at the house.
About: I have had dogs all my life. I have taken care of every age of dog. I grew up wanting to be a veterinarian my entire childhood. I was even going to try and start the process, but then life happened and my plans had to change. My plans took me to being a stay at home mom to 3 kids who also love animals. While I am no professional, I love trying to help my dogs learn new tricks or commands. Once again not a professional, but I do all of my dogs grooming needs myself. I have clippers and a grinder for nails and all kinds of brushes. For the babies not afraid of vacuums I also have a pet grooming vacuum. I can brush bathe and clip dogs nails at the owners request. If you bring your own shampoo the bath will be at no cost to you. If you dont have any it will just be a small fee for me to use some that I have. I am able to give medications if need be. I can also follow special diet routines if necessary as long as you bring the supplies that are needed. I am a stay at home mom for our 3 kids so when your fur baby is in my care they will hardly ever have to be kenneled. Potty breaks can be as often as needed based on what they are used to at their actual home. Daily walks can be taken(depending on the weather). I would be delighted to care for your dog while you’re away! My home is shared with my husband, our three children, and two friendly dogs who love to play in our fenced yard. I also offer daily walks to keep your pup active and happy. I normally follow a two-meal schedule with my own dogs, but I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s usual routine. Since we also have a cat, it’s important that visiting dogs are comfortable around cats. My goal is to make your dog feel as happy and comfortable as possible while you’re gone. If there are any special routines or comforts that help your pup feel at ease, I’ll gladly accommodate them when I can. For higher-energy dogs, I even have experience biking with pups who enjoy an active workout.
“Julie was a life saver! We were stood up by our original sitter, and she took Yuna in last minute. It felt reassuring to leave Yuna with her. Even though it was just for the afternoon, it seemed she got along with Julie's dogs and was exercised enough to have her sleep all throughout our road trip back home! Also kept us updated with pictures which was great.”

“Sarah was amazing with my baby Soup! She is super friendly and very responsive. She took care of Soup like her own and sent lots of pictures and updates, which I really appreciated. I felt completely at ease the whole time. Highly recommend her! 😊”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have owned and cared for dogs every step of the way. After saying goodbye to my own beloved dog of 12 years about a year and a half ago, I’m not quite ready for another full-time pet, but I love spending time with dogs and regularly care for friends’ and family’s pups. I also grew up around horses, where I learned responsibility, animal behavior, and basic first aid and medical care. My home is a quiet, one-story ranch with a fully fenced backyard, no other pets, and plenty of space for dogs to relax and play. I work from home and am committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment with lots of attention, updates, and affection so you can feel confident while you’re away. I have a consistent weekly routine and work from home. My schedule is predictable, which helps dogs settle in and feel comfortable. While I occasionally have weekend plans, I plan my schedule around my bookings and make sure the pets in my care receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a quiet, one-story home with a fully fenced backyard and no other pets, allowing me to provide individualized care and attention. I can easily limit access to different areas of my house if needed, creating a safe environment for dogs with different personalities or energy levels. I’ll follow your routines and instructions closely and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pup is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.

“Ashley is excellent with dogs. My pup was immediately welcomed into Ashley’ home. Ashley is very responsive and is genuinely invested into my pup. I highly recommend Ashley and will definitely request her services again.”

“TzuYu took great care of my dog! She gave very frequent updates & photos of my dog going on walks and playing with her and her dog. We already booked the next visit.”

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
