“Cheryl is a true dog professional. I have performance dogs and up until now have only felt safe having their trainer care for them. Cheryl figured out my dogs personalities in no time and defiantly gained their respect and love. I feel 100 % that my dogs are safe in Cheryl's care.”

“Mike was great! We had never used Rover (or any dog walking app before!) so we were a little nervous. Mike helped put us at ease. Enzo loved Mike! I highly recommend him.”

About: Hello! I’m Kelli, and I’ve been taking care of animals friends, family, and even my job for as long as I can remember! I have a lot of animal care experience - everything from cats and dogs to large farm and zoo animals - so I know how to handle pets of any size! I’m looking for a way to make some extra money when I’m not working, so I hope you’ll trust me to take your fur baby! I am a zookeeper at the Santa Barbara Zoo, so animal care is my entire job. I pride myself on high levels of attention, safety, and love that I provide to all the animals around me! I am a very vigilant sitter, and I promise to take the very best care of your pet while out and about. If you have any special requests or questions, please feel free to reach out.

“Christian is super nice--punctual and responsive to questions or requests. Our Golden Retriever jumps for joy when he arrives for a walk. Christian has been giving our dog a very active walk and adventure. We are extremely pleased with his work and hope to work with him frequently in the future.”

About: New to Santa Barbara and open to one time/reoccurring clients! I've been around and owned dogs/cats/lizards/bunnies/horses my whole life. I have 4 years of experience as a dog handler at doggy daycares in Arizona and most recently Chicago. Through my experience, I can confidently say I can follow feeding routines, administer medication, monitor dogs' behavior, and follow proper leashing procedures. I have worked with dogs under 10 lbs up to 150+. I have worked with high-anxiety, reactive and special needs dogs and can assure you I have all the patience in the world to insure the comfort and safety of your pet. I have a 1.5year old German Shepherd who has vastly expanded my skills in dog handling and training. At my most recent job one of my key roles was guiding puppies and adolescents through social interactions as well as practicing being on a leash. I’m happy to work on leash manners with dogs of any age! I am on Rover full time at the moment so I have all the time in the world for your furry friends! I do have my own dog and 2 cats so I’m not currently available for any over night stays. I have my own car and live close to down town so same day bookings are no problem! I am a strong believer in leaving a place better than you found it. I can assure you that safety, trust, ( and fun of course!) are my top priorities. I am very precise when following instructions and caregiving needs. My relationship with your furry friend is just as important to me as the relationship I have with you! I will be sure to have clear and consistent communication with you throughout any booking. I also love love love getting good pictures of pups and will be sure to send you many!

About: With experience in pet rescue, fostering, adopting, and sitting I offer compassionate and customized care for your pet's needs. Lover of all breeds and sizes; partial to senior dogs, I'm familiar with managing special diets, medications, or extra comfort. Safety and snuggles are the goal for every pet! I've been impacted by tech layoffs, so currently available to care for your pet at my home or yours, M-F, from 8am onwards. Plenty of notice will be given should my availability change, but my work is remote/from home so unlikely to have a huge impact on available hours. Mi casa, or Su casa! I'm in a single family home with a fenced yard. The yard area is accessible all day. I've got one small, dog-friendly, senior frenchie that will gladly share his cots, blankets, and toys but will likely ignore your dog most of the day cuz he's too busy napping. You're welcome to bring crates, beds, blankets, or toys to make your fur baby comfortable. But we love to share ours. Water bowls are accessible all day. I'm happy to provide food, treats, and/or meds per your instructions.

About: I’ve cared for and walked dogs extensively over the last 5 years for family and friends and looking forward to expanding this service to others in the SB community I am a remote worker with a flexible schedule. I spend a lot of my time outdoors whether getting sunshine on the beach or on the trails! I have a pup of my own so if yours ever needs some socializing I can bring her with us or leave her at home if your pup desires more one on one care. I will treat your fur babies as if they were my own!! I will provide updates to you on our walks or overnight care so you feel in the loop and at ease.

About: I have been a lifelong dog lover and love to play with dogs and take care of them! My daughter is also a great help and dogs love to play with her. We can’t wait to see yours! I am a stay at home mom, and am flexible and will stay home while I have your pup. We have a fenced yard so your pup can play safely. I’m available for boarding, walking, and daycare. We love animals and would love to give yours a lot of fun! Our front yard is fully fenced in for potty breaks and we live in a very safe, friendly and walkable neighborhood!

About: I’m flexible and live close to Downtown SB - just tell me what you're looking for! My personal opinion on watching a pet is understanding the owners rules and commands in order to keep a harmonious home and happy pet. I am very willing and open to work with owners on scheduling walks, check ins, and short or longer dog sitting. I communicate very well, honest on what I can confidently accomplish, and always follow up with pictures and detailed updates on all types of check ins. I have my own bashful weenie dog who acts like a prince so know I’ll treat your furry friend with the same love & respect as my own :) My past experience includes many family pets (Australian Shepard, Yorkie, Irish Wolf Hound), assisting my now retired Vet Tech Mother in training two therapy dogs, and numerous dog walking & sitting jobs for dogs & kitties of all sizes. Open availability & flexibility for days and various hours for home pet sitting, daily walks or occasional assistance. I have rare last minute changes in my schedule that would ever interrupt a confirmed booking, and I’m always transparent on my timeliness. Having your dog at my home: up to you! I have a fenced in courtyard & backyard that is dog proofed with no dangerous items in the vicinity and never leave a pet alone outdoors. Indoors, we have ‘puppy proofed’ our home, we do not have carpet, and do have AC and fans for the hot days. My dog is a shy weenie dog who gets along with most dogs and is not food aggressive nor territorial, if there is an issue between them, separating them is simple to do. Typically I do not take other people’s dogs to dog parks or off-leash beaches for owners own reassurance; but am open to whatever you prefer and feel confident allowing me to do. Your own house rules such as bones, treats, crates, etc are always respected even when visiting my home.

About: I was raised on a farm where we took care of dogs, cattle, goats and chicken. I grew up always in contact with animals, specially with my dogs that we rescued from the local shelter in Argentina. We rescued more than 8 dogs throughout my life on the farm and we still take care of them as one more on the family. I currently have a reactive catahoula pittie mix that has made incredible progress with her reactivity to other dogs with training. I love all dogs big and small and can handle anxiety reactivity or anything else they might throw at me! Im currently working part time but my schedule is very flexible, so I can accommodate my hours to walk your critter or dog at anytime. I currently do not take dogs into my own home because of my dog but am happy to walk your critter or dog sit in the comfort of their own home!

About: I have cared for all animals, from dogs to reptiles to spiders! I love learning and caring for animals. Ones with energy are my favorite! I also love a good chill pet:) I work my animal care around my practies and class, I have 2 morning (6-8am) and 2 afternoon (11-2pm) practices a week, along with 2 evening classes on Tuesday Thursday (5-7pm). I have a good amount of time between my responsibilities for pet care! I live in an apartment so prefer to care out of home, would be happy to house a cat or small dog for a few days if needed!

“Mandy is awesome! She has dog sat and done some walks for us. She got our prickly pooch to love her and always takes him on a good long walk.
