“Maureen was an awesome dog sitter! We were out of town for almost a week, and she came to fill in the gaps between when our family member would be at the house, and at work. The dogs responded really well to her! She gave them the attention that we hoped for, and made sure that all was in order. Very easy to communicate with! She sent daily photos of them, and it was so great to know they were in great hands! Highly recommend!”

“Julie did a great job! She took care of our 2 dogs and 1 cat without missing a drop in visit. She sent us great pictures of our pups and kitty so we knew they were doing well while we were away. All three of the pets were in a great mood when we got home and hadn't made a mess at all. Definitely recommend Julie for pet-care in the future!”

About: Hello! My name is Sofia and I’m an experienced and reliable pet sitter living in a house with no pets and a big fenced backyard, which allows pets space to play, relax, and feel at home!! 🏡🐾 My entire life I have loved all kinds of animals and I believe dogs are angels on Earth 😇 My current schedule allows me to have more time to care for all your sweet pets and flexibility to match your needs . I have completed CPR dog/cat training credited by American Red Cross to relieve any worries about your pets safety. I have a lot of experience with different breeds , have cared for my own pets and I am the designated family pet sitter/dog whisperer 🤭 . I have raised 2 Jack Russell terriers from their puppy days to their final senior moments. I’m very familiar with dogs that need stimulation & consistent attention. I have also owned a reactive Pitbull, which taught me how to stay calm, observant, and proactive in managing behavior & high stress situations. It also taught me how to handle larger sized dogs that are very strong 🦮 he was a good 120 pounds 😆💪 I take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and needs — whether that’s exercise, quiet companionship, or extra patience. Most of all, I genuinely love animals and caring for them brightens every one of my days ❤️ i understand that pets are FAMILY. I will cuddle with them all night if i can 😂🫶 You’ll receive consistent updates (photos AND videos) so you can feel confident & at ease while you’re away ✈️🐕📸 Right now I am operating on a part time schedule for Rover and try to update my calendar as much as i can. I’m available for walks or drop-ins, and certain days I am available for daycare/boarding too. I live in a house with a very big spacious backyard that is perfect for pets to play, relax, and explore! Pets will always be supervised and clients will always receive updates, photos, and videos. Your pet will be entertained and in a house full of love!! ❤️
“Carolina was so sweet and my kitty loved her! She sent lots of great photos and made sure that my cat was happy while I was away. I will 100% be booking with her again and I recommend her to anyone with a furry friend.”

“Charla was terrific! So very helpful and a great communicator, and super flexible when my plans changed. Pets were well taken care of and everything left tidy. I am grateful!”

About: I’ve been taking care of my own dogs since I was young and begged for one, now many family friends and neighbors have trusted me to feed and walk their pets, along with keeping them company. I’m currently a college student home for the summer, I do not have any other job leaving me very available to care for your pets any day of the week. I will always ensure the pets are safely taken outside, such as being sure they will be leashed before going outside or making sure a backyard is safe for them before letting them out. I can also adapt to any specific needs a pet has, being as patient as needed.

“Sue is amazing, both my cat and I love her. I have a very shy cat and this is the first time I need to leave her home alone for more than 2 weeks. I was worried that my cat will get depressed and hide under the bed all the time (which she usually does), but she ended up getting along with Sue really well. Sue was very patient with her and put a lot of effort taking care of her, my cat was happy to see her every time she visits and she was in very good mood when I came back. Sue is also very good at communication, she sends me a lot of pictures and all the details every time she visits. I was very lucky to have such a reliable cat sitter.”

About: We would make a great dog sitter because we genuinely love animals and have a natural ability to connect with them. We’re patient and understanding, which helps dogs feel comfortable and secure, whether we’re playing with them, feeding them, or taking them for walks. We’re reliable and attentive, always making sure to meet each dog’s needs, from exercise to medication. We’re also good at recognizing and responding to a dog’s mood or behavior, so we can adapt to any situation and keep them happy and safe. Additionally, we’re very organized, which helps us stay on top of their routines and preferences, giving dog owners peace of mind while they’re away. Our current schedule allows us to dog sit without worry because we have a flexible routine that gives us plenty of time to dedicate to caring for dogs. We’re able to adjust my plans to accommodate walks, playtime, feeding, and any special needs the dogs may have. Whether it's during the day or evening, we can provide consistent attention and care without any time constraints, ensuring that the dogs are happy, safe, and well looked after. This flexibility makes it easy for me to be present and fully committed to being a reliable dog sitter. We would be able to ensure the safety of the dogs while sitting because we’re highly attentive and proactive in monitoring their well-being at all times. We make it a priority to keep them in safe environments, whether it's securing gates, ensuring they’re on a leash during walks, or supervising them while they’re playing. We’re also familiar with basic dog first aid and am quick to recognize any signs of distress or discomfort, allowing us to act promptly if something goes wrong. Our commitment to their safety means we’re always alert and prepared to handle any situation that may arise, giving both the dogs and their owners peace of mind.
“It was great to have Aspen check in on our dogs while we were away for a few days. She was able to commit, despite it being last minute! It was good to know our dogs were in great hands! Would highly recommend!”

“Sharon is an amazing communicator and goes above and beyond for the needs of us as well at the puppy! Appreciate everything she does and will recommend her to anyone!”

About: I’ve been walking/taking care of dogs/cats at a young age for neighbors and friends. I love all animals and treat them as they are my own. I love a good long outdoor walk and am an early riser for those on a schedule. Available always!! I currently work at a summer camp that runs half of the day so I’ll be able to easily spend lots of time in the afternoon with your pet. I am an early riser for the pets that love a morning walk/run! I follow your pets schedule just like if you were there. I love walking around and loving on your pet! I don’t mind driving to a park or giving them a bath if needed.
About: What sets me apart is that dogs have always been a real part of my everyday life! I grew up in a home with dogs and have always had between 1–3 dogs at a time, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m currently a dog mom to my two boxers, Anchor and Storm, so caring for active, affectionate, and sometimes strong-willed dogs is something I’m very used to. On top of that, I frequently dog sit for friends, so I have hands-on experience caring for dogs in both my home and their home environments. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely love spending time with animals. As a third-grade teacher, I have weekends, holidays, and extended school breaks available for dog walking and pet sitting. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, making dog walks a perfect addition to my day. Whether it’s a quick walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care, I make sure each pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible by providing consistent care, exercise, playtime, and lots of love. I make sure they receive individualized attention and always keep owners updated with photos and check-ins. I take pride in being reliable, trustworthy, and respectful of both pets and their homes, so owners can enjoy their time away knowing their furry family members are in good hands.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a little kid. I grew up with multiple family dogs (from 7lbs-110lbs, through puppy-geriatric) as well as cats and kittens. I still love and watch pets for family members and friends (walk, feed, entertain, bathe, medicate, etc.) and would love to do the same for your pet! I am currently working a flexible hybrid schedule and usually go into a local office for about 5 hours/day twice a week so I have quite a bit of availability to spend with your pets outside of that time! Weekend schedules may vary. I am also available for overnight and extended stays in your home. I do not currently have an ideal setup for pet care in my home and would prefer to do so in your home or park, etc.
About: I have been in the Pet industry for over 30 years. I’ve owned a kennel where we did boarding, grooming and daycare. I’m very experienced with all types of dogs and cats. I’m very knowledgeable administering medicines and injections for your pet. I can assure you, you will have peace of mind when your pets are in my care. I am currently retired and I’ve always had a love of animals. Taking care of your pet will be my only concern. I am available every day. I can care for your pet either in my own home, which has a very large fenced in backyard or I could care for them in their own home which they are more familiar with.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Deerfield Beach
I am very happy with the day visits Monika's did for my two cats, one of which is elderly and very needy. She clearly loves my cats and she was equally as respectful of my home. She was punctual, communicative and very professional. I would trust her to take care of my cats abd home again no hesitation!

First time leaving my cat for more than a few days and I was so nervous. Mary was a true blessing! G did great the whole time, with no signs of stress and I know its because Mary made him feel comfortable and loved the whole time. The pictures were excellent and she really did make sure his life was as normal and routine as possible while I was gone for the 9 days. Couldn't recommend more!

She was amazing! She accepted my booking request last minute, which was incredibly helpful, and took great care of my cats during the drop-in visits. She also sent the cutest/funniest updates, which gave me peace of mind and made being away from them so much easier. I’d definitely book with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
