“Thank you so much, Morgan! Great communication and updates. You took great care of our two bunnies, tortoise, and snake. We will definitely get your help again in the future.”

“Shannon was awesome Great communication -it was the first time we have left the dogs like this and I was a little nervous but starting with the first visit she put my mind at ease. Sending pictures and detailed everything the dogs were doing. The lasts day she even had to get creative since one of the dogs found a hole in the fence. She immediately let us know and did her best to block the escape route! Highly recommend Shannon!”

“It’s very hard to find a reliable pet sitter to watch your fur babies But I finally did. Autumn is the sweetest most reliable person. She always keeps me very informed on what’s going on with our cats. I would definitely highly recommend anyone to use her. 😊”

“Helped me on a last minute 2 day emergency. Was very flexible and understanding of my schedule. Luna ended up getting sick while I was out of town and debi helped me by giving her medicine and cleaning up her mess. Highly recommend debi”

About: Hi there! My name is Ainhi, pronounced Annie. I have owned and loved dogs my entire life. I know firsthand that every dog has a unique personality and energy level. Whether your dog loves an active, brisk neighborhood walk or prefers a slower pace to sniff every single blade of grass, I adapt my care to what makes them happy and comfortable. While I primarily focus on everyday walking and companionship, my lifetime of pet ownership means I have experience with aging pets. If your dog is a senior who needs a gentler pace, or requires precise oral medications/supplements hidden in their treats, I am completely comfortable managing those routines with care. I work from home, so I'm flexible most weekdays and can easily fit in walks and drop-ins. I'm available Monday through Friday and most Saturdays. I'm only available for Sundays after noon time. Occasionally, I have on location work, so I keep my Rover availability updated and give clients as much notice as I can. Every dog gets a meet-and-greet first, so I know their routine, quirks, and what keeps them happy. On walks, dogs stay securely leashed the entire time and watch for anything unsafe on the route. In Florida's heat, I walk in the cooler parts of the day, check the pavement, and bring water for longer walks. I'm also happy to do midday walks in neighborhoods with plenty of shade, and I'll shorten the walk or stick to grass and shaded paths if it's too hot. At your home, I follow your instructions for keys, gates, feeding, and meds, and I leave everything as I found it. You'll get a photo and a quick update after every visit.
About: Hey Pet Parents! I'm a Veterinary Assistant and have been pet sitting for over 20 years. I would love the opportunity to hang with your fur babies! I work from home Monday-Friday, and so will be available to stay home with your pets to provide care, walks, and snuggles for much of the day during the week, as well as overnight stays. Saturdays and Sundays I work at a veterinary clinic from 7a-7p, and so am available for morning and evening check ins, as well as overnight stays. When staying in your home, I will treat it with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I will water plants if needed, bring in any mail or packages, and leave your home just as I found it.
About: I have two dogs Chole and Chester, I have one parrot name blue, and one leopard gecko name mango, I just love animals no matter what kind they are. I currently work part-time at Pandora, but I’m looking for something to fill some of my free time since I have a pretty open schedule. I’ve always had a strong love for animals, so I’d really enjoy the opportunity to work with them while gaining more experience and doing something I genuinely enjoy. My dogs are not cage-bound; they have plenty of space to roam around freely and do as they please. They are fully potty-trained and are very well taken care of. I alway make sure they are happy, comfortable, and well cared for.

About: I’ve pet sat for many friends and family members over the years and have plenty of experience caring for dogs and cats. I also have two dogs of my own, two dachshunds, so I am used to different personalities and routines. I do prefer small dogs and cats. I love spending time with animals and will always treat your pets like they’re my own! My schedule is currently very flexible, which gives me plenty of time to care for your pets! I prefer weekdays and am available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I can also be available on some weekends when needed. I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that works best for your pet! With my own dogs, I make sure they are fed on schedule, taken outside regularly, walked, played with, and given plenty of attention and cuddles. I understand every pet has their own routine, so I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal feeding, walking, sleeping, and potty schedule. I’m very flexible and comfortable caring for pets in both houses and apartments.
About: I used to help my aunt from up north in Boston take care of dogs for 2 years. I did overnight care, and my job was to feed up to 60 dogs all on my own, and administer and medications that were needed. I took care of some NHL players dogs, as my aunts business was a high end service, so I have been taught to give nothing less than excellence. I am currently a flight attendant so on days that I am flying, I will make sure to let the pet owner know. But a lot of the days I am free, I can come by as often as someone would like. I have no problem, making sure that I fit in the owner schedule so that the pet feels as most comfortable as possible. I will follow any and all rules that you provide for me. I will meet with you prior to any care giving provided to make sure that me and your fur baby have a great connection. If you would like to receive photos every time I am with your fur baby, I am more than happy to provide updates in that form.

About: I have experience with dogs and cats (and other animals too). My house offers a great safe space for them. I also have a lot of at home time that can be dedicated to your loved animals! I have really quick classes in the morning, but the rest of them are online so I can stay at home and watch the pets for the majority of the day. The yard Is fenced. I can separate the dogs if needed. I can often take them for a walk. I watch carefully the feeding schedule and health of your dog.
About: I have had dogs since I can remember, ranging from all sizes and breeds. I have recently rescued my own dog and trained her myself so am more than comfortable keeping up with any special instructions for your pet. I love to walk and run and will be sure your pet gets a full day of activities in! I am currently working from home so have plenty of time to take care of your pet making sure it gets the love and attention they deserve. My house is very pet friendly, I live right next to the beach and love to take my dog on long walks where she can run as much as she wants. I would definitely say I make her well being a top priority of mine. I have a dog park pass, two retractable gates for indoors and a XXL dog crate. I have a very formerly and playful 1 year old female dog who loves all dogs.
“Ted was awesome! We met beforehand to introduce him to our two dogs. Ted was instantly a hit with them so we scheduled 3 drop-in visits for 6 days and the dogs were perfectly taken care of, including daily walks and playtime. My dogs loved Ted so much that I didn't get one spiteful poop from my little dog in his secret, "I'm-mad-you-left-me", spot. Ted also sent photos and comprehensive updates through the Rover app after each visit. I will definitely be booking with Ted again.”

“we could not be happier with our booking with Jennifer, she cared for our 2 cats like they were her own. the communication was excellent, she provided a summary of her check in along with beautiful pictures every visit. 10/10!!!! highly recommend this sitter!!”

About: Hello, I've grown up with a house full of animals and continue the abundant love. We've always had (currently) several cats, several dogs, and over the years additional critters (birds, bunny, bearded dragon, geckos, tarantula, ferrets, mice, sugar glider.) I have always been the go-to for friends, family, and co-workers for pet-sitting. Usually for extended stays. Currently I have built a reputation with fellow scuba industry workers through word of mouth. I have worked with pets in need of medications. Primarily pills. Seldom needles. I do currently have a cat on medication. As well, I fostered a dog with paralysis. I've volunteered with a therapy dog through margate CERT since 2014. Coco The German Shepard Dog. She had introduced me to several other therapy pups and pigs who I've accompanied on several occasions. Primarily her and her handler Tom. As well, I worked for the Coral Springs Pet Resort. I work until 1900 in West Palm Beach Monday-Thursday. I'm available to go evening pop-ins. (During winter season I can tend to run into over time). Sundays I'm normally off and rotate between rest, hobbies, and extra shifts. Friday and Saturday I'm normally on call for work usually until 7 p.m. but can be earlier and changed with advanced notice. In the winter and spring I normally have more availability pending weather conditions. Evening pop-ins and walks are best. I accompany the animals outside (if there is a backyard) to ensure their safety. When there is no time restriction I let the dog tell me when they are ready to go inside. Similar on dog walks around the neighborhood, we will go on extended walks if they wish. Play time as if I'm one with the dogs until they tire me out. As well, all of the furbaby cuddles if they allow.
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kendall Green
Sharon was amazing. My dog (GSD) instantly took to her. Sharon did a great job communicating with me daily, posting pictures and feedback on how my dog was doing. My dog also requires eye medication to be administered and Sharon had no problems with doing that. She took excellent care of my dog. I would highly recommend Sharon.

Couldn't be happier with the level of service Larrisa provided 10 stars. On time as booked, pictures sent of my happy lad, description of walk and behavior after walk (wasn't asked for but provided) Nelson seemed super happy when I arrived at home . Definitely booking again !!!
I can’t recommend Amanda enough. I was so anxious about leaving my puppy for the first time and Amanda made everything go smoothly. She answered all my questions, sent lots of pictures and detailed notes. I will be booking with Amanda every time I need someone to watch my puppy.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
