“Aaron was absolutely fantastic! From the very beginning, his communication was excellent. Responsive, professional, and reassuring. It was clear he genuinely cares about the dogs, and seeing how comfortable, happy, and affectionate they were with him spoke volumes. They took to him immediately, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would happily trust Aaron with our dogs again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and attentive dog walker!”

“Marianne was a great sitter! Communication was a breeze and ever so accommodating. I had a few modification with my reservation and she always adjusted easily and worked with my changes. My pets loved her! I got plenty of updates, pictures and videos during her drop in visits. I will definitely use again and recommend.”

About: I have had a pet companion for 35 years. I have raised 3 wonderful miniature dachshund. I have been pet sitting for almost 10 years now. I have cared for diabetic dogs as well as elderly ones. I am Semi-retired and available 6 days a week Mon-Sat. Sundays are possible for certain situations. I always try to accommodate for your pets specific needs. I live in a condo in Wilton Manors so therefore I can only accept small dogs for petting sitting at my home. Any size dog though for sitting for dogs in their home.
About: I've always had a deep connection with dogs. I bring a very calming canine energy, and trust is gained quickly. Anyone who has a dog(s) and knows me well will ask me to sit for them when they can't provide the care their dogs need. When I retired from my successful 45 year sales career, I had planned on getting a dog. As it's turned out, my friends and neighbors with dogs have kept me very busy. And it's been the most fulfilling and gratifying chapter of my life. I just have an innate ability to connect with dogs and what I give to them, they give back to me. It's been a very rewarding time in my life now that I get to do what I love best: to be surrounded with canine company. And I can unequivocally and honestly say I'm very good at it. As I said, I'm retired and can easily accommodate the needs of prospective clients. I'm readily available and am very flexible with you and your dog's schedules. I live in my recently renovated condo in the very upscale community of Coral Ridge in Fort Lauderdale. It's a small two-story residence easily accessible to lush parks and magnificent estate homes. We have excellent security with a Neighborhood Watch and private 24 hour Coral Ridge Patrols. Patrolling

“Emily is so amazing! I can’t reccomend her enough! She was thorough and communicative and took the best care of our girl! Will definitely be repeat clients! Thank you Emily! 🩷🐶”

“Mara is extremely attentive to my Samoyed, Bianca🤍. Mara is always letting me know about her behaviors, her bathroom use, and her appetite. It is wonderful to have someone who cares so much taking care of Bianca🤍! Thank you Mara!”

“Alyssa has been amazing with our one year old German Shepherd. He’s very sensitive and needs some patience, TLC, and understanding. Alyssa has a calming energy matched with leadership and good animal intuition that our GSD has responded remarkably quickly to. Alyssa came over for a meet n greet - took the time to learn his quirks, training, and personality then came over again for a one on one walk. Our GSD runs away, barks, and hides when new people try to clip his leash but she sent a pic twenty minutes later on a walk with him. We were not only impressed with her care, demeanor, and skill but also extremely grateful/relieved to have found a sitter like Alyssa. Highly recommend her for all dog sitting needs and breeds!”
About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I’ve cared for shy pups who need extra time and patience to warm up, energetic dogs who thrive on walks and play, and senior dogs who need gentle, attentive support. I have a special place in my heart for pets with unique needs. My beloved pug, Maggie, developed diabetes later in life and required insulin, along with extra care and support after becoming blind and deaf. That experience taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and paying close attention to the little things that help pets feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pup needs an energetic walk, some extra playtime, medication support, or simply a calm and caring companion while you’re away, I take pride in providing personalized care and treating every dog like they’re part of my own family. After years of caring for my own pet and helping friends and family with theirs, I’m excited to now offer my experience and love for dogs through Rover. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I schedule my day to ensure each visit receives my full attention. I plan dedicated time for drop-in visits throughout the day and prioritize punctuality, consistency, and clear communication so your pet’s routine stays as normal as possible. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own. I follow your detailed instructions closely to keep your pet’s routine consistent, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special needs. I aim to create a calm, reassuring experience while you’re away and maintain a clean, secure environment before leaving. You’ll receive timely updates and photos after each visit for complete peace of mind.
“Absolutely amazing job taking care of my little meows! They loved him so much and he got to know them so well! They can’t wait for you to come back again soon!”

About: I’ve been a pet owner and animal lover for many years, with hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I have an 11-year-old dog and two cats of my own. One of my cats was rescued from the streets after suffering an injured leg, so I understand the extra patience, care, and attention that some pets need while they recover. I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can truly trust. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding, playtime, cuddles, and giving pets the individualized care and attention they deserve. I’ll treat your pets like they’re part of my own family and keep you updated while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule with plenty of availability throughout the week. Please feel free to reach out with your preferred dates and times, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs. I prioritize safety, comfort, and making sure every pet feels secure and cared for. I follow each pet’s routine and their owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special needs. I provide plenty of supervision, attention, playtime, and affection while keeping the environment clean and safe. I also understand that every pet has a different personality and comfort level, so I’m patient and respectful of their individual needs. My goal is for your pet to feel happy, relaxed, and at home while they’re in my care.
“Sandy was amazing! When I first contacted her, I needed a last minute sitter. I had never used a sitter or Rover before. She responded promptly and offered to do a meet & greet, working with my schedule before I left town. For each check-in, she provided detailed reports and pictures of each of our kitties. She went above and beyond when one of our cats had to be picked up from our nearby vet. I felt so much better on vacation knowing our kitties were in amazing hands. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
