“Sandy is the best! She is always on time, spends quality time with my fur baby and leaves my home nice and tidy after every visit. Sandy is truly a gem and I’m given the peace of mind when away from home!”

“Marianne has been absolutely the best pet sitter we could’ve ever asked for. She is loving, attentive and communicative. She’s quick to make the animal comfortable. she watched my cat sushi over the weekend faithfully for months. We kept going back to Marianne because she was truly the best person for the job. when my cat started to get sick, she noticed immediately and notified us so we were able to get her into the vet and cared for quickly. We know Sushi loved her and we would definitely work with her again!! Thank you, Marianne!!”

“Aaron is AWESOME! He came and helped me out big time when I had a sudden emergency stay at the hospital. He went above and beyond with my dog Tank. He took great of him in my absence and I can’t be more appreciative. Truly 5 star!💯”

“Alexandra took excellent care of my kitty. She was punctual, very communicative, and sent lots of pictures throughout my trip. Most importantly, my cat was happy, healthy, and well cared for when I returned home. I would gladly book with her again.”

About: I have had animals (dogs, cats, livestock and more) my entire life. I grew up on a farm know what animals need and how they interact with people and other animals. I’m available most anytime with notification. I am always working but if I have a pet to care for it will be the first priority. I am able to stop at your home feed, walk, clean up after them and myself. Stay with them as needed. Available for stay over night when needed.
“Gary is so wonderful and our cat loves spending time with him! Our cat didn’t even act like she missed us while we were gone because he provided such great care and nurturing for her. We’ll work with him again!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a kid and is something I just love. Whenever I go to see a friend who owns a dog, I spend more time with the dog often times! I don’t have any of my own at the moment since my partner has allergies, but being there to dog sit will allow me to spread that love and care with them. I have watched many of my friends dogs overnight or just for the day due to my hybrid schedule - which is wonderful! I work a hybrid role - so I might be able to offer walks during the day on some days of the week. But weekends work best for me to stay over and dog sit (for those traveling or don’t want their dog in someone else’s home). This will help build trust and love with the little ones, while keeping them in the comfort of their own home. I always want to ask, what are the do’s and dont’s since every dog is different. I want to make sure they are able to relax and enjoy the company as much as I would. If I’m able to stay at the sitters home, I will routinely send updates or photos (as desired) and give them peace of mind to know that they’re little ones are safe with me. I absolutely adore dogs and I want to make them as loved as they deserve. If I take them for walks, recap anything that they did to report back to the owner as well.
“Nicole is just awesome. She is so easy to work with and flexible. I booked Nicole services to look after my cats as I was going on a trip. She did such a wonderful job of looking after them and keeping me informed every visit. Highly recommend her.”

About: I was born into a home with a family dog who only liked to sleep under my crib! I have been surrounded by animals my whole life– Treating them with love and respect is a core part of who I am. My biggest passion in life is being around dogs! I have experience in walking, sitting, feeding, cleaning, playing, and of course cuddling with all kinds of animals!! I can handle high energy dogs, senior dogs, big dogs, small dogs, you name it! Pick me as your baby’s next best friend and you can guarantee we will have a great time! Currently I am taking classes online for college. This means I have an entirely open schedule and all of the time in the world to dedicate to your precious babies! If a time works well for you, it probably works for me too! As a routine lover myself, I understand how stressful it can be to have your whole day uprooted! That’s why I put lots of effort into maintaining what your pup loves and expects out of a fun filled day. If they need to spin around three times before a walk? I’ll make some spinning room! If they need to be fed at a specific time each day? I’ll be on the dot each time! If they don’t care at all? Great!! No matter what, I am dedicated to creating an environment where me and your pup can become the best of friends.
“Mara is extremely attentive to my Samoyed, Bianca🤍. Mara is always letting me know about her behaviors, her bathroom use, and her appetite. It is wonderful to have someone who cares so much taking care of Bianca🤍! Thank you Mara!”

“I was so nervous about using Rover for the first time but Deborah was so nice and understanding. She sent me the cutest pictures and videos of my baby to let me know exactly what was going on everyday. She also went above and beyond and got my mail for me, took beretta for walks, and even cleaned the living room for me to return home. I could not recommend her more to anyone else!!”

About: Lifelong dog lover and current med student here! Raised alongside a Cockapoo and a Goldendoodle since I was six, I’ve spent nearly my whole life caring for pups. My medical training makes me exceptionally detail-oriented, reliable, and calm under pressure, while my inner kid just wants to provide the same love and attention I give my own family dogs. I’m a med student taking a gap year to study for my Step 1 exam. Since I study from home nearly 24/7, your pup will have constant companionship, a quiet environment, and endless study-break cuddles!. I’ve raised and loved a Cockapoo and a Goldendoodle since I was six years old, so dog care is second nature to me. Living right in Las Olas, I offer a premium, ultra-reliable, and highly attentive environment. My medical background means your pet is in the safest, most responsible hands possible!

“Gheraldine did a good job with my cat. Feeding daily - changing the water, cleaning the litter box and giving my cat affection. She communicated if she would be late or early. I do recommend her.”

“Alyssa did a fantastic job looking after our two cats! She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. We were especially impressed that she won over our fickle ex-stray, who is usually very aloof and spends her time outdoors. It was clear our cats were comfortable and well cared for, and we’d be happy to have Alyssa watch them again!”

About: I've always had a deep connection with dogs. I bring a very calming canine energy, and trust is gained quickly. Anyone who has a dog(s) and knows me well will ask me to sit for them when they can't provide the care their dogs need. When I retired from my successful 45 year sales career, I had planned on getting a dog. As it's turned out, my friends and neighbors with dogs have kept me very busy. And it's been the most fulfilling and gratifying chapter of my life. I just have an innate ability to connect with dogs and what I give to them, they give back to me. It's been a very rewarding time in my life now that I get to do what I love best: to be surrounded with canine company. And I can unequivocally and honestly say I'm very good at it. As I said, I'm retired and can easily accommodate the needs of prospective clients. I'm readily available and am very flexible with you and your dog's schedules. I live in my recently renovated condo in the very upscale community of Coral Ridge in Fort Lauderdale. It's a small two-story residence easily accessible to lush parks and magnificent estate homes. We have excellent security with a Neighborhood Watch and private 24 hour Coral Ridge Patrols. Patrolling

I am a very responsible dog owner myself. I cook for my dogs, give them supplements, red light therapy(lol), and make sure I always walk with an air bottle or taser to keep safe from aggressive dogs off leash. You have absolutely nothing to worry about if you leave your baby's in my care! I am currently working part time from home so I am very flexible and easily available especially last minute. I am very active so if your dog has alot of energy we can go for a nice jog! I have a 6 foot locked and gated backyard. Walm my dogs 2-3 times a day and dog park when able to. I am a bit OCD with safety. I never leave a home unless I check to see if stove top and dryer is off.
“Genesis was so great! She was very detailed and sent a lot of pictures. She kept us updated. We will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone in need.”

I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, from playful puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I treat every dog like one of my own. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oakland Park
Marissa has been so helpful! Our puppy is so energetic, so young, and honestly a handful and Marissa has more than kept up. She makes sure our pup is cared for and she keeps us updated with everything that happens, we feel so comfortable with her around Winston. He can be a little needy, and truthfully so is his dad (lol) and she has been happy to help with all of our specific instructions. We couldn’t have had a better experience!

Page was excellent! She was super communicative, handled everything like a pro, took AMAZING photos of my boy, and handled my OCD with the litter like we’ve known each other forever! I have literally not had a better experience with anyone on Rover. She stayed extra, loved Loki like her own, and was generally so so amazing. She helped my anxiety with leaving him for so long! Could not have been a better fit. Page is top notch and I will be booking with her for the foreseeable future, even some walks with Loki! Thank you again, Page!!!

Before meeting with Heather, I had never meet anyone so enthusiastic to care for Cats. She truly loves what she does and it’s not a job for her, She loves and cares for them. She not only feeds them and gives them meds but she play with them , pays attention to them and brings them toys. We are grateful for Heather’s thoughtfulness and dedication.

I usually use friends or family to watch my senior husky, but didn't have anyone last minute and so I hired Alyssa. She took care of my Senior Husky and made sure to spend quality time with her during each visit. She's reliable, dependable, and was always on time. Both my husky and I appreciate her for taking good care of my pup while I was away. I will gladly recommend Alyssa!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
