About: My family has two dogs and a cat I’ve cared for like my children! Along with my babies, I’ve volunteered with a rescue, Good Karma Pet Rescue of South Florida, fostering 20+ cats into new homes. Some kittens/cats were strays, caught by myself and supported by my family. My cat is a foster failure after being given up. I know puppy and kitten care from as early as 2-3 weeks. I work from home and have a lot of time to take breaks to tend to pet care while staying active throughout my working schedule. The days I go into the office (2x a week) I only work for 5 hours so have flexibility to come back to take care of pet needs. I make sure to be attentive and engaged while keeping the environment safe from hazards and obstacles. It’s important to me to make sure the pets are consistently supported and don’t feel uncomfortable or anxious.
“Benson looked very comfortable in his day care photos and was so happy to hear he was well behaved with Porscha and Applejack! I would definitely work with Billi again”

“My dog was VERY happy staying with Linda. She was so sweet she made arrangements for another 5 pound dog to come for a visit so my energetic puppy could play with someone exactly her size! She noticed my fur baby was hungry and she texted to make sure it was ok to feed her( she’s a picky eater) and even sent food home for her to try again. I highly recommend Linda to take care of your dog.”

“Awesome everything was great. We got updates and photos of our dog and he was so happy and comfortable. If your looking for good care this is the person you want.”

“My highly recommended to this awesome people Anastasia and Vadim! They take care of my dog for 2 days ,they send pictures every 1-2 hours, they walking with my puppies and playing with her!! They are the best!!”

“Gnocchi had so much fun with the other dogs, he came home pooped out and slept for the rest of the night. I received Lucia throughout his stay to ensure he was doing well. I will definitely be back!! Thank you!”

“We are beyond grateful for the wonderful care and love you showed our two dogs today! Your kindness, patience, and genuine affection made such a positive difference, and it truly put our minds at ease knowing they were in such capable and loving hands. Thank you for going above and beyond to make sure they felt happy and comfortable. We appreciate you so much and feel lucky to have found such a fantastic dog sitter!”

“It’s always hard to leave Nuggs, specially with someone I don’t know, but somehow with Amelia he was incredibly fine and on the second time we took him he didn’t even look back just walked right in, and that tells me that he had a great time and was well taken care of, and that makes me happy! Amelia is professional and pleasant do deal with. Totally recommend Amelia!”

“Rachael was very sweet! She responded to my booking request within just a few minutes and communication throughout Lola's stay was great. I felt like Lola was in good hands. I would definitely book with Rachael again and highly recommend her!”

“Emilie's house has became a second house for Amora! She loves going there and feels like it is her home! I feel so relaxed when I need my baby girl to stay away from me because I knoe she is going to be taken care of!”

About: I grew up in a farm so I love animals and the nature in general! More than loving them I understand their personalities and make sure they are in a safe environment. I have training in dog first aid and CPR, I can handle pet emergencies. I’m a professional dog trainer and my dog is a service dog. I have an online business and plenty of help at home so I enjoy doing what I do 😊, I love be surrounded by animals and loving them as much as I can. Safety is the most important thing for me , so making sure our babies are safe and happy is what really matters specially when you do it with love .
About: Hello my name is Gael and I'm the proud parent of a 14 year old Pug named Sancho. I love dogs and grew up with both big and small dogs. I enjoy meeting new furry friends and giving them the love and care they deserve while you are away. We live in a quite nice neighborhood and enjoy going for long walks at night. I was previously a dog sitter with DogVacay so I've had experience with different types of dogs and updating parents regularly through the app. Note that since Sanch is around 23 lbs I would like to care for small and medium size doggiesthat are also around the same size and no more than 25lbs. I am also able to administer medication and accommodate any special feeding needs. I work from home and I'm available to take your doggie out when needed and attend to any other needs during the day. They usually sleep in the bed or their own if they want. I live in a quiet and safe townhouse apartment with stairs, small patio and green adjacent areas for walks and potty brakes in the shade.
About: Hi! My name is Maria. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, which makes me a proud 'fur mom'! I’ve had dogs since I was a little girl and have always had a deep love and care for animals. No matter what is happening in our day, I always make space to follow their routines—like feeding, walks, and playtime in the afternoon—because they are my babies. They go with me almost everywhere, including long-distance road trips. I have personally cared for two elderly dogs, so I understand they need a slower and more delicate pace I stay very attentive to following medication schedules and dosages. I understand that accidents happen with age; I am very patient and always ready to clean up and keep them comfortable and dry. I must brag that I am quite good at giving relaxing massages to dogs; I’ve seen how much they enjoy them, and they always ask for more! I have experience caring for the pets of family and friends, whom I treat as part of my human-animal clan. To me, your fur baby is not just a pet—they are family—and it is an honor that you trust me to care for them. I will do everything possible to make sure they are happy so that you can feel calm and confident that they are in responsible and loving hands. Your pet isn't just a guest in my home; they become a cherished member of my clan. Let’s connect and make sure your fur baby has the happiest and fun stay possible! Hola! Pet care isn't just a job for me; it is the center of my daily life. I work part-time and am consistently finished by 2:00 PM, which allows me to dedicate my entire afternoon and evening to the 'human-animal clan' in my care. My routine is built around structure: once I'm off work, I prioritize midday walks, feeding schedules, and play sessions. Because my husband and I already maintain strict routines for our own two dogs and two cats, adding a guest pet into our flow is seamless. Whether it’s an afternoon stroll or a relaxing dog massage after a long walk, your pet becomes a natural part of my daily schedule, receiving the same love and attention I give my own babies. My Priority: A Safe and fun environment Whether in my home or yours, my priority is maintaining a safe and fun environment that mimics the pet's natural routine. In My Home (Boarding/Daycare): My home is a cozy, pet-friendly place exclusively for small breeds. I have a secure, fenced-in backyard where your little ones can play and explore safely. For maximum safety, I personally supervise every potty break and outdoor play session. To ensure your pet receives the highest level of attention and the best possible experience, I only host one dog at a time. Since I have my own two small dogs and two cats, this limit ensures a harmonious environment where your pet is never overwhelmed. For added peace of mind, I have internal safety dividers/gates inside the house to keep my cats and guest dogs separated if required, ensuring everyone feels comfortable. Furthermore, I treat your pets like family; I provide bottled water for all pets to drink—the exact same water my husband and I drink. All guest pets are introduced slowly to my "clan" and have full access to our family life in a hazard-free environment. In Your Home (House Sitting/Drop-ins): I treat your home with the utmost respect and follow all 'house rules' to the letter. I perform safety checks upon arrival—ensuring gates are latched and water bowls are fresh. Additionally, I am happy to help with small household tasks such as watering your plants or collecting the mail if needed while you are away. Personalized Care: I love rewarding good behavior with treats, but I always prioritize your pet's health. I will always ask you beforehand about treats and specific allergies. My service includes detailed updates, photos, and my signature relaxing massages. I am diligent about following feeding and exercise schedules to ensure your fur baby feels happy and secure.
“Sam & Thaymare are great! My boy had a great time with them! They arranged a meetup before the session, are great communicators and & I felt so relieved to have found someone that I feel comfortable leaving my baby with. I 100% recommend them!”

About: I've always had a deep connection with dogs. I bring a very calming canine energy, and trust is gained quickly. Anyone who has a dog(s) and knows me well will ask me to sit for them when they can't provide the care their dogs need. When I retired from my successful 45 year sales career, I had planned on getting a dog. As it's turned out, my friends and neighbors with dogs have kept me very busy. And it's been the most fulfilling and gratifying chapter of my life. I just have an innate ability to connect with dogs and what I give to them, they give back to me. It's been a very rewarding time in my life now that I get to do what I love best: to be surrounded with canine company. And I can unequivocally and honestly say I'm very good at it. As I said, I'm retired and can easily accommodate the needs of prospective clients. I'm readily available and am very flexible with you and your dog's schedules. I live in my recently renovated condo in the very upscale community of Coral Ridge in Fort Lauderdale. It's a small two-story residence easily accessible to lush parks and magnificent estate homes. We have excellent security with a Neighborhood Watch and private 24 hour Coral Ridge Patrols. Patrolling

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oakland Park
Emilie was amazing! Lots of pictures and updates. We had our two pups try her daycare services today for first time and they had a wonderful day making new friends and staying at her very nice place-super clean and spacious backyard. Emilie is also very easy to talk with , careful, patient and especially appreciative of her careful process to make sure all the pups are introduced in a safe and positive manner . We will definitely be back!

Lexington was an absolutely amazing pet sitter for my dog Jr., and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She took Jr. on regular walks and spent plenty of time playing with him at the dog park, which he clearly loved. It was obvious that Lexington genuinely cared about Jr.’s happiness and well-being. Most importantly, Lexington made Jr. feel safe, comfortable, and loved while I was away. I would highly recommend Lexington to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Madeline was absolutely amazing with my puppy! She took such great care of her and made me feel completely comfortable while I was away, she sent many updates throughout the visit which I loved. She has two very sweet, well-behaved dogs of her own. Madeline kept me updated and clearly cares so much about the dogs she watches. I would 100% trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Gael kept me very updated on my dog throughout the whole day which gave me so much peace of mind. Even after my dog didn’t eat his breakfast, she continued to make an effort to make sure he ate and it paid off ! She was also prompt and ready by the door for me even at 7am!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Oakland Park commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
